  1. I think Epstein believed Trump may have instigated the 2011 investigations/prosecutions. ā€œdog that didn’t barkā€ refers to situations when something/someone isn’t being heard from is significant. That’s what the ā€œ75%ā€ meant. I think their supposed falling out was around this time? Epstein always had the goods on Trump. Of course Trump had him killed in jail.
  2. High beef prices? Soybean price collapse? No problem…introducing Trump Tofu!
  3. I’ve found this latest speech suppression taking advantage of Kirk’s death to be particularly chilling. I know it’s a continuation of what they had already been doing but their renewed fervor makes it more sinister. They’re attacking all the foundations of our democracy. I’ve had trouble containing my anger the last few days and am worried I’m going to go off on my gop Senate staffer neighbor. That wouldn’t be the worst thing cause fuck him and the work he’s a part of.
  4. Samsung text customer service rep is with us, though he’s probably been fired/deported/killed already.
  5. As far as I can tell that guardian quote and the anti fascist line on the bullet casing are the only two pieces of public evidence suggesting he was left in anyway. The quote was apparently bullshit and who knows what the bullet casings meant. Massive failure by the media to allow that to develop. The groyper stuff is equally unproven but I take the GOP shutting up about him being a leftist to mean that there’s probably evidence that he was far right or just nuts. If they knew he espoused liberal views or pro trans rights or something, we would be hearing that.
  6. I’m not sure if it’s more terrifying to think they actually didn’t know this, or they knew and put it out there anyway as misinformation like the strained interpretation of Abrego Garcia’s knuckle tattoos. With that too it’s unclear if it was stupidity or malice. Perhaps no use in distinguishing the two with these guys.
  7. I'd guess there was probably a discussion with Trump where he wanted to use tactical nukes and they convinced him 14 bunker busters would be the equivalent--and he'd be dropping the biggest bombs since Hiroshima. I have in mind, he had to be talked out of tactical nukes and given an equivalent toy to play with--like switching out toys with a child.
  8. I read this and was thinking about the Leopards Eating Faces and pictured a leopard on top of someone casuall chewing at the face and the person thinking ā€œwell, I need a little time to see how this works out.ā€
  9. His actions make more sense across the board if you assume he’s a Russian agent working to weaken the US.
  10. My campaign connnection said the same re: internals. They were reasonably confident. Silent moron vote…or it was rigged.
  11. He also was predicting Kamala would win easily….hes been around a long time and is savvy but Trump will maintain a lot of power even when things get shitty. I think Civil War (movie) outcome might be as likely as their going easily/being chastened and politically held accountable.
  12. I hope you’re right. Serious or not they’re going to fuck up a lot before public opinion/markets put a stop to it. And then I’m afraid of how they respond once their backs are against the wall. I think you’re right on the disaster course but don’t know how it ends.
  13. Do you remember the Arlington National Cemetery photoop setup? The idea was to get photos of Trump and Vance there on the anniversary of Afghanistan withdrawal and then shame Kamala Harris for not showing up. They had the unexpected confrontation about taking photos but then still went ahead with the rest of the plan with coordinated talking points, led by Vance, about Kamala not showing up. GOP echoed the same across social and traditional media outlets. Except because of the fuck up it didn’t quite land as well and the setup was more apparent. This was exactly that. All the disrespect lines were planned in advance. They would have been delivered no matter what Zelenskyy did but because things didn’t go down quite right , the orchestrated nature was more apparent. Then the coordinated tweets from cabinet about standing up for America, Lindsey Grahams completing his abandonment of Russia stance, etc etc. But you can see behind the curtains if paying attention and it makes it even more worse. I assume the game is to try to solidify support for abandoning Ukraine and force Zelenskyy to agree to a bad deal with the alternative Putin plowing over his country. I think this might be the lowest point for the US on the international national stage.
  14. Attorney at a federal agency here. Question is now when I quit my job, not if, after previously looking at being there for the foreseeable future. I’m just trying to figure out how to maximize my interests in getting out. The delayed resignation offer looks and feels exactly like the Nigerian prince scheme I almost fail for when I was 14 and my HR department is complicit in it. It’s insane and the attack on the federal workforce is the Canary in the coal mine for what’s coming—-and has already started—for the rest of the company. We are over the ledge boys. It’s been a pleasure standing on it with you.
  15. My silver lining: JD appears to be moving out of the neighborhood.
