  1. The statement from the special counsels office actually seems to acknowledge some truth to the BUzzfeed story. It's a narrow denial: BuzzFeed’s description of specific statements to the special counsel’s office, and characterization of documents and testimony obtained by this office, regarding Michael Cohen’s congressional testimony are not accurate,” said Peter Carr, a spokesman for Mueller.
  2. This is a bit of a tangent but the first video that came up for me on that site is "Amazon Position Compilation." Who knew such things were possible!
  3. Just remember all the fucks that defended this piece of shit. How they are treated will be the test of how we move past this.
  4. On second thought how bout we build the wall around Alabama and Mississippi and have every self identified republican move there permanently.
  5. Fify. Add a pipeline coming out cause oil.
  6. Holy shit. I can't stop laughing. He just needs a reindeer caravan to scare people into supporting the wall. Maybe carrying a fat guy on a sleigh. He should have thought about this a month ago.
  7. You want an immigration crisis? Wait until South America is full on at war.
  8. You serious? I figure the shit will hit the fan with TSA and tax returns this week and they'll have to work something out. How does that not happen?
  9. So I don't go to work tomorrow, right? Please continue to violate the antitrust laws.
  10. Cause there's nothing better than a Big Mac that's been sitting at room temperature for over an hour and now resembles something your grandma forgot in the microwave overnight.
  11. Yep. Any parent understands this situation. And the "Trump is a toddler" narrative seems to be sticking.
  12. Delay of tax returns and the likelihood TSA stops showing up to work makes this unlikely. I'm expecting to go back to work next week.
  13. Won't the rural county vote shrink relative to cities? Those places ain't growing. Seems like the battle for Texas is in the suburbs.
  14. Any normal president would give up on Monday. But any normal president wouldn't have shut down the government anyway. So . . .I'm out of work for a few more weeks. I just don't see a way out for Trump other than cutting his losses and continue to blame Democrats for obstructing his wall. Anyone think he's going to do that? It seems like with the national emergency route, there's not enough money available withoit taking from programs where there would be huge political blowback -- i.e. Hurricane relief.
  15. For me, this has little to do with the wall at this point. It's about whether it's acceptable to refuse to fund the government because you can't get your pet policy in place. That is unacceptable and cannot be rewarded. It's like when my 3-year old throws a fit to have candy for breakfast. I can't give it to him--even though the candy is not a big deal--but because if I give in, the next time he wants something he'll throw a fit again. This is the exact same. Further, as the Jon Tester speech posted above, or in the shutdown thread said, the Trump administration has not presented a serious border security proposal that analyzes effective means and considers the costs and benefits of various options. They're seeking a symbol so Trump can claim a political victory and reward his base. That's what's so wild, it's not even a legitimate policy he's holding the federal government hostage for.
  16. Any guesses on how much longer this goes? Furloughed fed here.
  17. No in-office republican has an ounce of courage. Democrats are only hope, which isn't good.
  18. Personally, I've really enjoyed the comedic edge in season 3. They've managed to reinvent the show to keep everyone engaged. Can't wait for the Mueller plotline to reappear.
  19. This and put advertising on it. Paid for by mexico. Done and done.
  20. Here's the photo. Would love be to know how long it took them to cut the hole and what tools.
  21. Nsiap. Border Patrol tested the wall prototypes with common tools and successfully cut holes in steel slat barrier. This info is excluded from report but obtained by NBC news. All the cost of the this gov shutdown plus 5.7 billion for something that will just be sawn through. NBC News: In test, steel prototype for border wall was cut through with saw. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/immigration/test-steel-prototype-border-wall-showed-it-could-be-sawed-n956856
  22. This is verified real? Part of the audio looks dubbed. Edit: Snopes verified it. Really bizzare. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trackdown-trump-character-wall/
  23. This reminds me a lot of their pushing Kavanaugh through but the Dems actually have power here. They better use it.
