  1. Serious. If anybody needs two Elmers for nine hundo or 10/12 year pappiez for stupid money, slide into my DMs.
  2. Picked up a ‘22 OFBB today to round out my display today. We also poured a Blanton’s and an ER10 Twin’s store pick for the trick or treat parents tonight and they absolutely killed the ER. It’s always a good dose of reality to meet people who say they like whiskey but have never heard of Eagle Rare.
  3. I almost never drink anything cheaper, made sense to me.
  4. Early Times is the category champ in that area for me. It won a 15 bottle blind one of our groups did against some pretty heavy hitters.

  6. For reals, prime patio season. Grabbed a sample of ‘22 birthday bourbon and it’s very nice. Takes the edge off of having to watch bullshit teams instead of the Dodgers.
  7. King Ranch is fine, better than Long Branch and Elijah Craig Toasted, but not as good as Woodford DO or 1920. Definitely no shame in buying a bottle and drinking it out of your F-series out at the deer lease. And at least it’s not shaming the great state of Texas like Balcones Rye.
  8. Still Austin is the real Texas champ.

    USC @ Utah FOX

That last possession was like the ghost of Clay Helton.
  10. Decent would be 3000 or less. 15 went up to 2600 and lot b was up to 1200 but they’ve been sliding pretty hard with everything else.
  11. Williams can’t throw an accurate ball, Addison can’t get open and everything is terrible. Other than the defense which is playing lights out and getting turnovers. Sark should be inquiring about an OC opening.
  12. Back on topic, have any of you tried Unforgotten yet? The name is super cringy, but If it’s more like older Bourye and less like Forgiven then I could see it being good.
  13. Sounds like something my wife would say.
  14. If any internet tough guys want to prove they’re not flippers and meet up for a retail transaction of Knob Creek 18, I’m your huckleberry. Hell, I might even bring you a Knob 15 just to prove I’m a nice guy.

I’m guessing that it’s hard work, just like dirt biking is surprisingly strenuous. But if I’m doing something that requires a helmet it’s going to be riding a motorcycle.
  16. Went to Twin tonight to grab a couple of bottles of French white to have with a side of King Salmon tomorrow. Dude was helpful and nice so I asked if they had any interesting bourbons around and he coughed up a barrel pick ER 10. It’s good, no blending necessary.
  17. My wife hunts with a Howa 270 win that I bought her for our first anniversary (I’m a hopeless romantic) for like $329 with a scope and I do love their bolt guns. I’m wanting to go a bit sexier on this one but I’ll check it out.
  18. I do like the finer things, but I don’t trust Aggies. I’ll check on the Christensens though.
  19. I’m ok I guess? I have a Ruger Ranch in 300 blk and it’s a great little gun for picking off does. I just want something that feels a bit more satisfying in the hand. The Q Fix and that Savage Axis Precision look cool, but I’m wanting a more conventional gun vs an AR-mag bolt machine.
  20. I’m about 6 months man bun-free so that opens up all the options. I guess I’d lean Creedmoor because I have plenty of weird chamberings already that make it hard to find ammo.
  21. I want to buy a 6.5 bolt rifle this year because of largely made up reasons, but nominally because most of my rifles are way overpowered for central Texas whitetail hunting. I’m definitely set on a bolt vs AR platform and would like something with either a laminate or fiberglass stock, no walnut or crappy plastic. My brand loyalty is nonexistent and I have Weatherby, Ruger, Howa and Savage bolt guns currently. Price range in the $1000-$2000 range is what I’m expecting. Hit me with your best options.
  22. I thought JT Daniels would be about 28 by now and couldn’t believe he was still in college. But apparently he’s just 22 and Covid has made the last couple years feel like an eternity. Good luck to these QBs or whatever.
  23. All set on the EHT, but I still think it’s a better use of funds than a $90 ER pick.
  24. Ha, wow. I’ll let my spare six different ER picks (no distiller selects) go for the low low price of 750 or a 19 GTS or a PHC wheat.
