  1. Texas sucks for finding stuff now if you’re here. Only thing worse is North Carolina.
  2. F that noise. My dignity is worth more than $180.
  3. I almost hate myself. I’ll probably just trade a couple for batches I don’t have, open one and put one in the collection. If it makes anybody feel better, they hide damn WSR in the back room with OWA and W12 up here.
  4. Meanwhile on my road trip to see USC at Wazzu. I also bought a sixer of Blanton’s because Vons will cut you a discount for buying in bulk.
  5. The crowd at Washington State was pretty thin for a game against USC. But I grabbed ridiculously good 50 yard line tix for $84 so at least the value was there. No beer in the stadium kinda sucks though.
  6. We’re back! Here to support the lack of Helton. The Palouse is a bit of a hell hole in the rain.
  7. Just grabbed one of these. I’m excited.
  8. Clearly you’ve never seen a rich family Quincineara at Caruso on the campus at USC.
  9. That is very 909, USC is not.
  10. Bring in Leinert and Bush? What a joke of a time to make this move. But good riddance, Helton.
  11. Well that makes more sense and last night did suck. K has also coached against Stanford which plays plenty of 7 lineman ground and pound.
  12. Out west in…*checks map*…Alabama? I think he saw plenty of that but maybe wasn’t paying attention while calling plays behind an NFL grade O-line like he also had at USC.
  13. Relegate USC to the Big 12. Oof.
  14. I’m a Teka enthusiast and would rock the hell out of a come and Tek it shirt.
  15. Ha, at least this wasn’t some weird made up story about buying a case of shelf bourbon. I guess if you really like it then enjoy.
  16. Making fake labels with DSP-KY-16 on them and then reviewing would be amazing. Please do this. You could be the James Frey of bourbon Facebook.
  17. Now we’re just casually throwing out made up acronyms for non-existent whiskey and nobody even says anything? I love Gentle Ambler rye so I poured a glen of the 4 yr Old Scoot tonight. Man, nothing goes with a glass of GAOS like football on a warm Texas night.
  18. I like the Woodford VFR. Tried some last night next to Barterhouse 20 and it’s a little drier on the palate and less complex on the nose, but it’s in the ballpark.
  19. I wouldn’t mind if UCLA won, and I think it’s amazing that they have a WR from Dripping Springs who gets a few touches every now and then. Also, having to knock out a water polo tourney before the game is the most PAC 12 west coast thing ever.
  20. It’s good, but falls well short of the others. I’ll buy five and put an extra away because why the hell not.
  21. I think I’m down to about a 1/3 on that bottle. It’s for sure not worth the secondary hype when there’s plenty of 10+ year MGP around if you look. At least this one is 12 yr instead of the Spec’s 8 yr bottlings that were absolutely average. I traded one of those for a GTS and an OWA and have no regerts.
  22. They’re all pretty wildly different. I have a Le Freche and a couple of Lous Pibous open and they’re pretty amazing for the price. That one in the pic is a ‘76 Le Sable 500ml euro edition that I haven’t cracked. It’s worth exploring but you can’t go into it expecting bourbon.
  23. Speaking of rye, RIP to this one. Checked the laser code and it’s a damn 2016. It has some great caramel on the palate for a rye and will be missed.
  24. Batch 3 KO Rye is fine, but I’m not running out to buy it at $209. Maybe if I find it on sale at a twin for $150 or something. I have a Batch 1 open along with a spare so no real need for more. The batch 9 bourbon is also killer and would probably go for Stagg Jr secondary money of their retail pricing was similar.
