  1. Let’s talk about what I’m going to trade you for that Boone County. Since we’re d swinging I have about 8 Blanton’s including a few store picks. Or maybe some RC6 since you’re a big into Maker’s and I don’t see any there.
  2. You find one yet?
  3. I think I described it as 25% better than repeal reserve for 2x the price. But I really like it.
  4. What. Checked the Twin app and it’s in stock at the one closest to my house. You can’t have to drive more than 10 miles right now to get one if you live in the general Austin area.
  5. I love a good tater bottle and didn’t mind the Peerless Rye, but damn that bourbon is an overpriced joke. Crack it and let me know what you think.
  6. Whoever recommended that Peerless is not your friend. Worst bourbon I drank or bought in ‘19, losing out slightly in the worst whiskey category to Balcones Rye.
  7. Ha, Remus Volstead is money but I can’t imagine it not getting crushed by EHTBP for me. The real contest would be Volstead vs EHTSiB, Masters Keep 17, Knob 15 LE and Wm Heavenhill BiB in a Power 5 conference/distillery 100 proof throw down.
  8. It’s my favorite Texas whiskey. Which is kind of like saying UT is my favorite Big 12 team.
  9. It’s worth $99 at Spec’s for sure. I like oak and age and it’s in the same price range as the Knob 15 LE at the same proof. I could argue that MK BiB 17 is worth $50 more and Knob 12 is worth $50 less, but there’s nothing else really that old and oaky for that price. It showed up again at Spec’s so most should be able to find one if they want it. In other news, I picked up an RC6 today while looking for the Maker’s 2020 edition. Why these bottles roll out a year after release is still a mystery to me. I’ve picked up a ‘19 GTS, ‘19 4R SMBLE and the ‘19 RC6 in the last 2 months.
  10. EC Toasted has that same slightly off note that Garrison Balmorhea has. I’m not even sure how to describe it but I don’t like it as much as the Michter’s.
  11. It’s really not that great. Bought two and traded one out for an ECBP and I wouldn’t pay $50 for another. It’s like 1910 except replace that amazing toasted marshmallow note with a bit of bitter wet oak. But not bitter wet oak in a weirdly good way like Michter’s toasted rye.
  12. Total Wine Mueller today but keep it on the DL.
  13. I have a bottle of Heaven’s Door that I use to demonstrate the Flintstones note. It’s pretty atrocious and I think I paid $109 for it before I knew better. The Dickel BiB 11 yr is infinity times better than the SAOS, Dickel Single Barrel and other vitamin bombs.
  14. The 11 year is really good, especially for the price and availability. Not sure I could pick it out of a BiB lineup as a Dickel product.
  15. Congrats, those are amazing. And speaking of blind, my ‘19 has worked over tons of bottles blind. It’s basically the perfect bourbon.
  16. Yeah, no idea what would happen if you listed one without the box.
  17. I saw it today, DSP-12 so Barton at a guaranteed 4 years old and 100 proof in a fancy box for $100. Oooooook. If you really want some Barton you can get Sam Houston 14 for the same price.
  18. This is amazing. I’m on a new lease with pigs coming by the dozen after dark. That Thor 4 384 looks amazing and I’m trying to think of why I shouldn’t buy it and I’m coming up blank. Is there anything better for the price for < 150 yd pig hunting?
  19. It’s really good if you like oak. I somehow managed to find 5 of those and bought them all. Good trade bait for sure.
  20. $500 for non age stated OF at barrel proof? Hard pass.
  21. Bring me that WT above and I’ll get you a bottle.
  22. Don’t be an idiot, go back and buy that WT. it’s the OG Master’s Keep release, the new one says Bottled in Bond on the front. They’ve been going for about $220-$240 secondary as people try to complete the set of MK as they become more popular. I have all the others (some multiples) but none of that release. If you don’t want it I’ll trade you something for it.
  23. Sorry ‘bout that Chestnut Farms, bro.
  24. Had the 130th tonight at moonshine for the first time and that stuff was excellent.
  25. $29 over original retail, but Twin pricing is all over the map so who knows. I’ve definitely never seen one on the shelf in my life.
