  1. It’s $220 shipped on BSM, so no.
  2. Ouch. I like to pay secondary or less for rare whiskey in bars. That’s 50% over.
  3. This is making my $101 combo purchase of Twin’s store pick Blanton’s and OWA today look weak.
  4. I was just trying to guide him to the sad but inevitable truth.
  5. It has a small batch 94 proof label, right? Probably lists the original barrel proof and age on the side label but unless I’m missing something it’s proofed down like every other ECSB store pick.
  6. That’s not a real thing. I’m working on some WT Decades Batch 02 and WT 101 8 year age stated tonight. Both are great with the 101 winning on the nose and the Decades on the finish. About the same on palate. Spec’s has Decades for $90 through December and it’s a worthwhile pickup at that price.
  7. It’s so good. Probably my favorite sub 100 proof bourbon I’ve had yet. Also doesn’t hurt that it’s $16 for healthy pours at my neighborhood bar right now.
  8. I will buy the next one I see for $99. But not the one sitting at my Eagle Rare honey hole for $175.
  9. Yeah, I bought one and have passed on a couple more. It’s new to me, need to crack it this weekend.
  10. Daaaamn. How much were the pours?
  11. If you know anybody in a control state like North Carolina they can probably hook it up by the case for < $30/750ml.
  12. One weekend kill on a GTS? That’s a power move.
  13. It’s good and all over Austin for $89-$109. I have a spare.
  14. Orphan Barrel gets shat on plenty, but this one is actually pretty good. I bought one for $149 retail and don’t regret it at all. I’m not saying I want to mow through a 3 oz pour, but it’s not a tannic oak bomb by any stretch. Thinking about picking up a backup because there’s nothing else like it available at retail routinely.
  15. They have a whole page dedicated to it. https://www.forward2me.com/ship-alcohol-from-uk/ They don’t seem to dig down into the state level and I do know that it works, as does thewhiskeyexchange.com, but they are always out of stock. I’ve also ordered directly from masterofmalt prior to them ceasing US shipments without issue. I think it’s always a risk, but one I’m willing to take for good bourbon.
  16. That did not answer the question. I need this in my life. Bunch of rule following boy scouts in here. Anyway: masterofmalt.com forward2me.com It’s not rocket science. Regardless of rules, you shouldn’t be doing this if you can’t afford to lose a couple hundred if customs gets you
  17. My replacement bottle should be here this weekend. Easily the best bourbon you can have shipped to your door for a little over a hundred bucks.
  18. I just made an unbelievably good old fashioned with 3/4 tsp cane sugar, 3 dashes angostura bitters, one 3” piece of orange peel and 1.75 oz of Willett 4 yr 114.4 proof rye with a luxardo cherry garnish. I feel a little bit bad using the WFE rye in an old fashioned, but it’s cold and I needed a Kentucky hug.
  19. Good lord. I was watching from the student section the last time this happened. Time to give Helton the Kiffin bus treatment.
  20. Brutal. Ref wants the game decided on a dead ball trash talk PF?
  21. Clay Helton is no better than Tee Martin at stopping the second half disaster that is the USC offense.
  22. Is anybody really struggling to find 1910 still? It’s at most Spec’s now.
  23. Looks like the old fashioned instructional video girl had been at it again.
  24. That Belle Mead cask strength on the bottom shelf is calling your name. Go back and get it.
  25. Made myself a flight board to hold the glencairn glasses Only took me about 10 hours because I’m the slowest wood/metal worker of all time. Top is 3/16 steel cut and die ground to hold the glass bases perfectly. The wood base is granadillo with leather straps to lift held with brass Chicago screws
