  1. you are correct as Lastpass had a breach a year or so ago.
  2. You can get a 5-10% edge when counting and changing your bets. Watch the video above, even with a 10% edge the variance can be a bitch
  3. do you realize that I don't read every single thread on this board? I ban him the second I see him, how about you report him instead of just complaining about the moderation of him?
  4. He'd be over par if this was a regular 6 inch rough US open
  5. 2018 https://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/news/politics/new-law-aimed-to-protect-skilled-card-players-but-whos-enforcing-it/article_210ec118-ece8-11e8-b728-934b308424f5.html I do have one person I know who moved to shreveport and makes a decent living, but from the article it doesn't look like the law is really enforced. In the late 90's I went up there about once a month. Probably only been back about 5 times in the last 25 years
  6. I probably pot on both turn and river. Hold em players playing a PLO bomb pot always overvalue their hands and call. People that play plo bomb pot only tables are there for the gamble and will call.
  7. Agree 100% it should be stopped. One of my kids was in a tournament and one of their opponents used it and did it every few feet from their ball to the hole. They literally stood over the hole on every green, stepping in everyone else's line without a care in the world. So every put my kid and the other players in the group had that was on a similar line or 90 degrees from them was through their stomps on the green.
  8. I don't know, haven't been there in years.
  9. Yes, from pit bosses I've talked to as long as others at the table are losing more than the counter is winning they don't really care too much. When they are winning more than the table is losing and it's into the thousands then they really start to care. If you haven't already you should watch this https://www.amazon.com/Inside-Edge-Professional-Blackjack-Adventure/dp/B07QMS68TC
  10. General rule is if count/(number of decks left) >+1 you should raise your bet. So if the count goes to +4 after the first hand, or is +3 when you are half way through or +1 near the end raise your bet. Really depends where you are at and what stakes you're playing for the amount of the raise. No one will really care if you go 4x your low bet, start getting closer to 10x your low bet and people may start watching. Also depends on stakes. $5-$50 probably won't matter, $25-$250 will. I went to Shreveport one time and ranging from $5 to $25 and the pit boss was staring me down. I brought my girlfriend the following week and would kick her under the table to raise her bet and she was going from $5 to $100 and they never even looked at her. Louisiana can no longer boot you for counting, you're free to range as big as you want. Never got any heat in Vegas last year going from $5 to $50.
  11. get a pump and shoot it back into his pool with the mud it created

Drove from Austin to Van Horn on Monday. Stopped at Balmorhea to swim. Got up early on Tuesday and headed north. Headed west to Dell City and had a wonderful lunch, three taco plate at Angel's Tried to follow the path from Overland trail guides but it was all fucked up. Road just ended at one point. Got a few scratches from driving through mesquite and cactus Wrong neighborhood mother fucker Ended up coming to a locked gate. Turned around and ended up camping outside Dell City. Wednesday Morning drove from Dell City around the north part of Guadalupe through Big Dog Canyon. Please don't tell mom we were playing in the street One thing I love about west Texas/Southern NM is when the road goes to the horizon Big dog canyon Camped Wednesday night and drove around Lincoln National forest on the east side of Guadalupe. Got up Thursday morning to this Eastern most part of the park and headed off to Odessa, but stopped to get some west Texas fine dining
  13. I lived with a girl who was a waitress for a while when I was in the Navy. I was an electrician in the Navy. I was fixing a loose wire on a toaster and she was watching me and telling me what to do, and of course she was wrong. I told her I'm a fucking electrician I know what I'm fucking doing, if I need help on how to wait on a table I'll ask you. I don't think she talked to me for about 3 days after that.

west side of Guadalupe peak, about to head out to the boonies for a couple of days
  16. That's our plan for the first year or so. Spend a month or so in Santa Fe, San Diego, LA, SF, Tahoe, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, NYC, DC. Go see every museum and point of interest. Have an RV but air b&b when staying for extended period of time. Probably buy a place in Tahoe or the Rockies after that and split time between there and a small place west of Austin.
  17. I have a few bond funds and over the last few years they've dropped >20% in value. I really don't see how the low returns make any sense if they can drop in value just like a stock. I'm slowly selling those off and just putting it all in the stock market and high interest savings. My plan is to have about 5 years of spending money in liquid and sell off stock to replenish as needed. If stocks shit the bed I won't sell till I really need to. I'm really curious what you guys are going to be doing on your retirement. Doing blow off stripper's asses? $1k bottle service at the club? I figure I won't have any debt and currently my bills and food total up around $3-4k per month. Social security should be somewhere in the 2-3k range for me so I'm just going to need to come up with a few grand a month to cover bills and money for vacations and a new car every 10 years or so. If present trends continue with savings and 401k contributions that should be around 1-2% of my invested money per year.

    Colonoscopy

It was really bizarre. I've never been under before, no surgeries, no broken bones. Even when they put the stent in my heart I was awake and watching them do it. Watched her put shot in IV, tasted something, woke up in recovery room. Didn't even have a chance to say, "thanks for the one price on this, usually I have to pay $200 extra for butt stuff"
  19. Same boat, very similar to you. Over the last year or so I'd gone from around 210 to 180. I wasn't sure why. I attributed it to intermittent fasting and not eating as much, but it really didn't make much sense as I was not eating very healthy and drinking a ton of soft drinks. Finally got around to going to the doctor and had some blood work done. Mystery solved, I was well into type 2 diabetus with an A1C of 11.2 and blood sugar around 300 and triglycerides off the chart at >400. I got caught in a vicious circle. The diabetes would make me thirsty, which would cause me to drink a coke, which would make me more thirsty. The other sign was having to pee about 10 times a day. Dropped from 4-5 cokes a day to 1 every 2-3 days, switched to sparkling water, fast food several times a week to once a week, sandwiches from several a week to once every two weeks, pizza weekly to once a month, and pasta multiple times a week to none, breakfast sandwiches and tacos to eggs and meat, lunch from crap to a salad most days. I also got on medicine for the triglycerides and blood sugar. In a month my blood sugar dropped from 300 to 111, triglycerides from off chart to 202 (<150 is good), A1C from 11.2 to 9. (It's a 3 month average so will take another month or two to get down), down to peeing 3-4 times a day and dropped 4 pounds to 176, which at 6'2 seems like a good weight. Going to start some exercise of some sort to help push the sugar, tri and good cholesterol in the right direction. If you've lost some unexpected weight, are thirsty all the time, and peeing more often than usual you should get your blood checked and make sure you're not on a bad path. My ex-MIL just ignored the signs for years and ended up losing toes and was about to lose a foot but died before she did. Main culprit is carbs. Get a food tracker like MyFitnessPal and keep below 40 carbs per meal and around 100 per day and you should be moving in the right direction.
