  1. Yeah it's like I told my kid, McLaren is basically inviting Max back into the WDC race by doing it the way they're doing it. It's like they want to yet again win the WCC while losing the WDC.
  2. Yep. And Alonso made 3 straight passes for points positions that they never showed replays of or even mentioned until several laps later. Crazy. Woulda probably been pretty wild to actually see Alonso catching Lewis at the end there, too. My kid & I were watching the gap drop like crazy & he didn't believe me when I said it was gonna be close.
  3. LOL, wow. This is the couple nextdoor, or at least the guy, to a tee. Really wild in college and afterward, lots of drugs and partying, etc. Now he's Mr. Christian Low-key MAGA. She's not so much, but she won't say anything against him unless she goes out with my wife & her friends & they get her drinking.
  4. Oh, boy. Here we go. What a dumbass. Posted this here because apparently (or afaik) the party is still backing him, and the Rs & Turnip are making as much political hay of that as they can. Virginia’s Democratic nominee for attorney general facing pressure over resurfaced text messages https://www.cnn.com/2025/10/04/politics/virginia-democratic-nominee-attorney-general-facing-pressure
  5. Yep ...
  6. Yep, & that reputation isn't just based on a few HS football playoff games a few years ago. It's his entire, disastrously bad, ongoing body of work, which is fucking huge.
  7. Nah. Fuck him. And he probably predicted they'd WIN 10-1. Now he'll quit on his team & turn on 'em again like he did before.
  8. I mean ... I didn't see that when Helodamus posted it, but if I HAD seen it, I'd have known right then and there that we were completely and utterly fucked. I probably wouldn't have even bothered to watch the game. I've never seen anyone make so many predictions & have so many takes, so confidently, and be so horribly wrong so often as Helobious. Seriously, fuck that guy.
  9. Yeah, clearly they're being told to get those shots, but it's a little creepy how often they do it and how long they stay with the shots.
  10. Yeah I'm still trying to work that one out in my head to where it makes some sense. So if the offense has to take a 10 second runoff when the defender rips the QB's helmet off, then why don't defenders just pull offensive players' helmets off all the time in that situation?
  11. Yeah, so ... about that.
  12. Man, that Elko dude sure is a sweaty motherfucker.
  13. Yep. And that's fine. Few can do it. I don't understand why he won't give it up. It's just idiotic.
  14. I'm just amazed that as soon as we get behind, our passing game is reduced to nothing but 20+ yard passes. Even on like 2nd & 5. What in the actual fuck?
  15. I coached Cam Dickey for 4 or 5 years of summer baseball up til his graduation from Crockett. I guess what I'm trying to say here is "You're welcome, Tceh fans".
  16. I'd describe him more as 'confused & uninformed'. But then, I guess that's how I'd also describe most MAGAts.
  17. Yeah my only objection when it came up was that Correa's arm would be wasted there ... and I didn't know that about Paredes at 1B. Sounds great to me. I love, love, love what Paredes brings to the team. If someone needs to go from the infield, it has to be Walker imho. Great glove and great at the plate when he's hot, but he's too streaky. And as an aside, man, I really missed watching Correa throw the ball. What an otherworldly cannon. Just effortless.
  18. Agree with this ... it's about more than aesthetics for me as well. Re: the Rangers' stadium vs the Astros, I'm an Astros fan, but Daikin really doesn't do much for me. Neither would the Rangers' new place, from what I can tell about it. Seems like some of the new parks are like shopping malls that happen to have baseball fields in 'em imho.
  19. So in MLB ... been to the Astrodome, Daikin, old Rangers ballpark with the steel bleachers (dump), the Ballpark at Arlington, old Padres stadium, Dodger Stadium, Fenway, Wrigley, Kaufman in KC (dump). For me personally, nothing compares to Fenway. It's just pure magic. A baseball time machine, and it's just how a baseball stadium should look, feel, sound, and smell imho. I need to get back there soon.
  20. Review should have a time limit in every sport of, say, 45 seconds. If it's not obvious enough to change the call in that amount of time, then the call on the field stands. The way it is now is beyond idiotic.
  21. Too soon, man. Too soon.
  22. nsiap ... A buddy of mine was ptiching the idea of trading Walker and putting Correa at 1B. I'm sure he has the ability to make that transition, but who knows. It would allow Paredes to play 3B, so that would be aight imho. ETA: derp. responded to the wrong post. Meant to respond to @hornmpa96's post below.
  23. Me, too. Big, swinging balls on that dude.
