  1. As a huge F1 and MLB fan, I'm not arguing with you, for sure, but they're all very difficult to do at a high level. I think maybe they're the 3 toughest things in sports.
  2. I was there ...
  3. Which way is she missing? In/out/up/down/off/tight, or just all over the place? I thought she seemed to be setting Madi too tight fairly regularly vs Minny. And yeah, I've been saying since last year that Jenna should only play back row when absolutely necessary.
  4. So, by set, who was setting the most? Particularly those last 3 sets? I didn't see the match yet. For me the bottom line is who the setter is when we're losing and who the setter is when we're winning. Full disclosure, I'm Team Ella too.
  5. Yeah I remember it being mostly if not entirely rumor derived from interpreting the technical directive about it. The theory was that they had some kind of illegal device that skirted the rules and the FIA quietly told them to cut it out, and then later issued a rule clarification that also said several teams were working on similar concepts. The bottom line is that the teams were skirting the rules and the test to get their wing to stall at speed and allow them to run higher downforce as a consequence, while still passing the deflection test. Been done repeatedly over the years, resulting in rule clarifications walking them back. Until now. They're still skirting the rules and the test now - designing the wing in such a way that it passes the test but still breaks the rule, twisting and dropping at speed, stalling the wing. But now it's ok.
  6. Travis Hunter is a big-time player, but without him and Sanders, this CU team has nada. I'm not sure Sanders is all that good anyway, and Hunter will probably get hurt.
  7. I never heard anything like that, rather just that their wing was flexing downward toward the ends. Either way, it's illegal, just as this is. But now it's ok.
  8. Yeah just like most of us thought after the aggy-Domer game, ND isn't any good either. So much for aggy's 'best loss' lmao.
  9. Looks like many people have been looking at the flexing in terms of how much the end of the wing drops, but that might have been the wrong thing to look at. Looks to me like the wings are twisting rather than just drooping ... allowing them to run higher downforce than normal while stalling the wing at speed on the straights. Aston Martin got smacked down last year for basically the same thing. Apparently it's ok now though. I wonder what changed?
  10. Yeah ... KSU 'held on' with a lot of fucking help from the zebras. Tulane got fuuuuucked. Were those Rig 12 refs? They called back the TD on a bs OPI call, then on the next play they looked the other way on an obvious DPI in the end zone.
  11. Where are they from?
  12. Yeah, that's exactly what I thought. Never saw it during the play.
  13. Uh, yeah. Bizarre. That was textbook afaik.
  14. I already got it from the app store on my Android and on Chromecast.
  15. Hermosa. Mmmmmm ....
  16. Cool. Thanks. Found it on Android using 'Victory+' after being unsuccessful with 'Victory'. Still not on my LG tv though. I wonder if it's on Chromecast. :checking: ETA: Found & installed it on Chromecast, but no luck on my actual TV. Also, when I signed in on my phone, it asked me if I wanted to pair with my tv. I said yeah, & entered the code, but nothing happened on my tv & I don't understand how this 'pairing' works. Weird. Works great on my Chromecast attached to the tv and that's probably the easiest way anyway, but it's irritating that I can't figure out the pairing.
  17. Apparently it also has a review problem if they can't get that one right. JFC. Bregman probably scores there, too after the Singleton walk & JP's single. If they overturn that, at worst, it's bases loaded and 1 out with Gamel up next. In a 1-0 loss.
  18. He said there are usually the most cars earlier on and people tend to leave little by little after that.
  19. My 18 yo goes and has always liked it until the last time, when he said the cars were pretty meh and it's mostly the same cars over and over.. He says you have to park in Lot C and walk or shuttle over to Lot A. He said it's not usually too crowded.
  20. The orange smoke is stupid and annoying. Fight me. If they have to do it, it makes more sense to do it at the end of a W.
  21. Yeah, 100%. Back in 1985, the museum was very small, pretty much limited to the old blue hotel building that's a small fraction of the size of the current facility. A lot of the old hardware that's part of the museum now was already being stockpiled out back in the yard. They told us then that they had big, big plans for expansion, but we had no idea it would ever be what it is now. And yeah, the re-enactments are really well done. It's really a great museum, run by people who care about keeping that history alive.
  22. Gosh, it'd be really cool if Bags told us 87 stories about himself.
  23. Well ... you know. Username ...
  24. Never has there been a better post on which to use the "FAFO" emoji.
