  1. This website ... is nice. https://www.f1-tempo.com/
  2. McLaughlin is a freak. Oughtta be in F1.
  3. ^LOL. And yeah, this is why I rarely watch NASCAR for going on 30 years now, after being a huge fan the first half of my life. I just have no interest in watching a huge pack of cars circulate for 3-4 hours, all going the same speed, bumper to bumper, waiting for a big one. I want to see the best teams and drivers be able to separate from the rest and see the differences between all the cars' performance levels. This shit is a lottery.
  4. Yeah anyone could see that shit coming. Pack racing is so stupid, but I guess it's what NASCAR wants. I see some people on other forums saying this is all on the drivers, but the drivers aren't driving in a pack because that's what they want to do. When the cars can't separate and spread out, you end up with pack racing no matter what the drivers do. Then, even if everyone tries to do everything right, it'll still typically end up in a big one. It wasn't always like this, and the drivers back then were every bit as aggressive as these guys are. Everyone who was paying attention could see this coming. We see it over and over and over.
  5. Keselowski. Shocking.
  6. Well, fuck. Duchene out, lower body injury. I wonder if that's related to the hit he took in the back of the leg that shoulda been called tripping.
  7. Yep and it wasn't just that weekend. It was for weeks or even months with road reconstruction, fences & lighting going up and down, the bridge being put up and taken down, etc, etc. The first year was the worst, but they still expect major traffic diruptions for 4 months out of the year due to F1. That temporary bridge is a major sore spot for the locals.
  8. Yep. Ferrari?!?!? Never gonna happen!!! (Even though he's hinted at it before) The Vegas pit facility, much like COTA's pit building for example, is mostly 'flex space', like you'd see at a convention center. IF or when they decide to move on from Vegas years from now, that building will likely go for a nice price in a place like Vegas. I think they'll do at least 1 or 2 more races there, but after that, who knows. And if they get their act together re: how they deal with the locals & not being so heavy-handed, who knows, maybe they can even win them back. If they don't ... at best it will be an acrimonious existence for them in Vegas.
  9. Campbell's on a roll, winning at Daytona in the 24 and then in the next race at Bathurst.
  10. It was a very entertaining race imho, and I actually liked the way the cars looked and ran on the layout ... but the locals were not amused with the way FOM operated there. From FOM's side, there's the expense. It was apparently far more expensive than they anticipated, but future races should be far less expenive for them.
  11. It doesn't matter. If the big casinos want it, it's happening. If they don't want it, it'll be gone. Not sure how much longer F1 or the casinos will actually want it though. COTA is in the city limits since it was annexed, and is surrounded by the County. The County's role here is apparently for Margaret Gomez to push through whatever COTA wants, while simultaneously contnuing to ignore her constituents' needs, into perpetuity.
  12. Great game, but ... bullshit no tripping call when the Oiler took out Duchene exactly the same way as when we took the penalty to go down 2 skaters. Fuck the refs.
  13. 2020 and he was incorrect He didn't say which season.
  14. He was also at the launch and spoke. Maybe this was all a storm in a teacup as the Brits say. But who knows. WeWillSee.

    Fuck Brett Yormark

Yeah, like aggy did while simultaneously dodging us when we invited them to play us.

    Fuck Brett Yormark

    Nah fuck that shithole too.
  17. Pretty sure they're talking about the vertcal aspect of the side pod inlets everyone's going on about. In other news ... Send in the Clowns. Don't bother. They're here.
  18. I've been on this for a while, so it's nice to see some drivers talking about it now. Fernando and George have taken up the cause ... Alonso: Three days of single-car testing unfair on F1 drivers Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso says it is "unfair" for Formula 1 drivers to only get one and a half day of winter testing in Bahrain. https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/alonso-three-days-of-single-car-testing-unfair-on-f1-drivers/10575897/
  19. Oh, COTA ... never change. Apparently COTA is having trouble getting purchase links sent out to people who put down deposits for 2024 USGP tickets.
  20. Yeah like others have said, many people thought it was a mistake because Merc weren't really challenging for championships. In 2013, they were right, but from the outside, most of us couldn't see the domination that was coming with the hybrid pu era. Unlucky for Nico / lucky for Lewis that Michael retired when he did and not a year earlier or later & no other top driver was available. Probably lucky for Lewis too that he was P4 in 2012, or he might have stayed at McLaren. Lucky for Merc that Lewis was available for 2013, but they were gonna win either way with that hybrid PU head start over everyone else.
  21. Nice. We knew it was a great crowd when we were there, but we had no idea it was a record! Fun bunch of fans. HAND: An Epic, Yet Emotional Emergence – Sportscar365 https://sportscar365.com/features/commentary/hand-an-epic-yet-emotional-emergence/
  22. Interesting video here, quickly reviewing some features of the AMR24. Especially interesting imho was the bit about the 'split lines' on the ramps that were causing fllow detachment issues last year. Now the entire sidepod is one piece, to eliminate the split lines.
