  1. John Turntine visiting Thursday per OTF https://www.on3.com/db/john-turntine-180479/
  2. Apparently the dude is from Germany and just started playing football 2 years ago. Soccer background.
  3. Visiting next week per 247 https://www.on3.com/db/jayden-jamal-hanne-240962/recruiting/
  4. LSU's On3 site posted a sunshine-pumping article about their NIL a few days ago.
  5. Jonah Williams visiting next Thursday for the pool party per OTF and IT.
  6. Ah, had a feeling I was missing someone. Forgot about Werchan but not sure he is returning.
  7. Updating the numbers (assuming all drafted guys sign) C (4): Galvan, Schuessler, Service, Chamberlain INF (7): Borba, Mendoza, Flores, Rodriguez, Richardson, Luna, Duplantier, Sanders OF (8): Winfield, Gasparino, Belyeu, Farmer, Cummings, Peterson, Scott, Jordan RHP (13): Grubbs, Howard, Duplantier, Hamilton, Tumis, Moffett, Burns, O'Hara, Zaharias, Rerick, Flores, Saunier, McCreery LHP (9): Whitehead, Mercer, Santos, Walker, Bing, Harrison, Navarre, Powell, Covert 41 right there
  8. Brooks or Terry seem like they may have been the 'hi' from yesterday. I know we all have reasons to be very afraid of Oregon right now but Terry seems like one we can and will get across the line.
  9. Texas Percentages that Gerry dropped this morning: Ffrench- 70% Lockett- 55%, A&M 35%, Bama 10% Fasusi- 40% (OU 45%) Brooks- 65% Sanders- 37.5% (A&M also 37.5%) Faraimo- 46% (Notre Dame 49%) Tilmon- 40% (Utah 40%) Anding- 36% (LSU 38%) Terry- 65%
  10. Great job all-around getting this done. Thank goodness for NIL.
  11. The ideal 3 man LB class always seemed to be Pettijohn, Barnes and Cunningham. Barnes, Faraimo and Cunningham would still be very much acceptable. Maybe it doesn’t fully pay off this cycle but Nansen seems like a plus recruiter and big asset on the west coast as we try to expand our footprint there.
  12. I am a little surprised Weiner and Schlossnagle didn’t process Howard after the year he had but maybe he is fixable
  13. Amazes me we are in 2024 and there are still people who judge recruiting efforts based on “locking down Texas”. Im assuming those people would have preferred Ory Williams over Brandon Baker last cycle and some 3-star safety from Texas over Derek Williams in 2023. Maybe there is a lineman at Lake Travis in a wheelchair we can take over Nick Brooks this cycle.
  14. IT and OB seem to both think Texas is in a good spot for Jonathan Cunningham headed into his announcement tomorrow: http://www.hudl.com/video/3/16667084/658250ccbd74410ac49b232d
  15. I believe Anding was ranked in the 900's before On3 did their last update. They gave him a significant bump.
  16. Well hello... (via IT) Aidan Anding‘s recruitment took a turn recently when the in-state LSU Tigers offered… or did it? A source close to the recruitment tells Inside Texas that even though LSU offered and Anding is reportedly heading to Baton Rouge for the Tigers’ end-of-July recruiting event, the two main contenders for the On3 Industry Ranking three-star defender are Texas and Arkansas. LSU may have thrown its hat into the ring too late after missing other top targets on the trail. Per that same source, Anding understands who has been in real pursuit the longest and prefers a program that actually covets him rather than one that threw an offer at the last minute. There’s no new timeline for Anding’s announcement after he was supposed to decide following June official visits. Anding is ranked as the No. 524 overall prospect, the No. 47 cornerback, and the No. 16 player in Louisiana in the On3 Industry Ranking. On3 ranks Anding as the No. 31 overall prospect and the No. 12 player in Louisiana.
  17. Kahalekai, Millett and Jordan were all let out of their NLI's. Rainer and Gillen are first round picks.
  18. Borba and Richardson profile to 3B. Rodriguez can play SS and 3B. I really think they are banking on getting Flores back so the draft is going to be a sweat.
  19. He's gonna be a situational lefty. Can drop down to a funky arm slot and make things uncomfortable for lefties. Having 1 or 2 of those guys in your pen is valuable.
  20. If you plug Terry, Townsend, and Cunningham into the class calculator, it gives us enough points to currently be 9th in the 247 team rankings. That feels like a decent position to be in with the pending decisions of Ffrench, Lockett, Brooks, Faraimo, Fasusi, Tilmon and Sanders. Maybe it's just the glass half full in me but it feels like a top 7-8 class is still pretty realistic and maybe even likely despite the misses to this point. Not breaking any news here but filling the 3-4 spots at DT with quality players will likely matter a whole lot more than the final ranking.
  21. He added in the comments that NIL is not driving the decision for Terry and his parents have handled the process really well. It certainly sounds like a recruitment that profiles to Texas.
  22. Updated: C (3)- Galvan, Schuessler, Service (could be OF), Chamberlain* INF (7)- Borba, Duplantier, Sanders, Mendoza, Luna*, Richardson*, Rodriguez* OF (8)- Gasparino, Belyeu, Winfield, Peterson, Cummings, Farmer, Scott*, Jordan* RHP (16)- Grubbs, Tumis, Hamilton, O'Hara, Duplantier?, Boehm?, Burns, Trop, Moffett, Howard, Zaharias, Vartanian, DeGroat*, Lyons*, Flores*, Sterling* LHP (9)- Whitehead, Mercer, Bing, Walker, Harrison, Bertsch, Powell*, Covert*, Navarre* So 43 right now but could be upwards of 45+ if we get good draft luck and a few more transfers.
