  1. No idea the validity but it's been mentioned a few times that getting Fasusi and Turntine (top OT in 2026) would be extremely tough. And we seem to be a really good early spot for Turntine.
  2. Alright, I'm filtering out all the JUCO guys because I don't think they are taking any of them. I'm assuming Thomas, Flores, LBJ and Witt are gone as well. I'll also filter out Rainer/Gillen as they have zero shot of making it to campus. This is what it looks like numbers-wise: C (3)- Galvan, Schuessler, Service (could be OF), Chamberlain* INF (5)- Borba, Duplantier, Sanders, Luna*, Richardson* OF (8)- Gasparino, Belyeu, Winfield, Peterson, Cummings, Farmer, Scott*, Jordan* RHP (19)- Grubbs, Tumis, Hamilton, O'Hara, Duplantier?, Boehm?, Burns, Trop, Moffett, Howard, Zaharias, Walton*, Jordan*, Millett*, DeGroat*, Lyons*, Kahalekai*, Flores*, Sterling* LHP (7)- Whitehead, Mercer, Harrison, Shaw, Bertsch, Powell*, Covert* That is 42 right there. I don't think we will have any problem getting under 40 between more transfers and draft casualties.
  3. Phillips on Saturday and Townsend on Monday. Gonna have to push through the next few days.
  4. They are still two years away from getting to campus, but our 2025 class is freaking loaded. Even if they just bat .500 on the draft risks it will still be a program changing class, especially on the pitching side.
  5. I heard Gerry say this morning that Texas leads for Brooks. I remember him previously saying it was a Texas/Georgia battle so that was news to me.
  6. Suchomel saying Texas is making a move with Lamont Rodgers Remember when January used to be the recruiting silly season? Not anymore. The month of July is now the timeline when things can and do change in a hurry, and NIL has made things even more volatile and at times, unpredictable. Here’s some zaniness that you all will actually enjoy … Multiple Oklahoma sources in recent weeks, including as recently as this week, have thought the Sooners were the overriding favorite to land Mesquite Horn offensive tackle Lamont Rogers. Maybe not, according to multiple sources in Austin. One trusted source tells Orangebloods that the Longhorns are very much in the race, but it’s not over yet. And this source said it’s actually Missouri that’s UT’s biggest competition. Aaaand … a second trusted source tells Orangebloods that there’s a feeling that Texas is actually going to land Rogers in what would be a bit of an upset victory. There’s been on formal announcement for a decision date but we’re hearing this one could get resolved as early as this weekend. As noted above, things can change in a heartbeat (as this story proves) so we’ll continue to monitor things, but the situation with Rogers looks MUCH better than it did last week.
  7. I don't think LeBlanc is going to be a part of this class. I think all the JUCO guys will be let go.
  8. Welp, nevermind. Kennedy just tweeted he is headed to K State
  9. I’m surprised Schloss hasn’t churned more of this roster yet, especially on the pitching side. But I guess we still have several more weeks and might get in a numbers crunch after the draft/additional portal moves.
  10. Root apparently got $400k to go to Arkansas so maybe they aren’t too far off. I can’t imagine there are many college baseball players in the six figures but maybe the market is evolving.
  11. Maybe I'll end up being dead wrong but I just don't think the juice is worth the squeeze with Jonah Williams. From his position to is he even going to play football or does he like baseball more?
  12. Correct, but that doesn't stop Georgia, Ohio State and Bama from loading up yearly at those spots. I think we will end up fine at DB, but it doesn't have the wow factor of some previous classes. Maybe a little like the 2023 OL class after we hit the grand slam in 2022 on the OL.
  13. I posted something similar yesterday, positionally on the defense. Edge is great. LB is good with Barnes and Cunningham, could be bumped up if the right third piece is added. CB is meh with Chester + ?. Safety with Phillips and Tilmon is somewhere between average to good. I really like Phillips. It's really DT as the primary (only) problem.
  14. Hit .286 in Big 12 in 2023 and .282 this year. Strikeouts became a big problem for him this year too. He’s a good player, but the hype on him got out of control after he belted a bunch of homers against Texas southern and western Illinois last year.
  15. Yeah, but it’s tough to know the exact number til after the draft and I’m assuming a few may also be processed. Might end up being a signing class closer to 10-12 with 80% being pitchers.
  16. Numbers wise I got this: Coming back for sure (7): Gaspo, Belyeu, Whitehead, Grubbs, Galvan, Schuessler, Borba Portal adds (4): Trop, Moffett, Winfield, Burns On roster, not in portal yet (16): Sanders, Peterson, Service, Duplantier, Farmer, Cummings, Selvig, Tumis, Hamilton, Harrison, Zaharias, Santos, Bertsch, Howard, Shaw, O’Hara Draft?? (6): Boehm, LBJ, Witt, Thomas, Flores, Duplantier Medical redshirt??? (1): Mercer
  17. He was apparently at LSU this past weekend.
  18. LSU was tampering the shit out of Gasparino.
  19. This one was dicey for a little bit
  20. We were in it for Root and Arkansas came in and blew everyone else out of the water with a NIL offer.
  21. Bicep, which is a little concerning, but beggars can't be choosers. Talent is there.
