  1. 27-6 since that date. Losses were to #4 TCU, #12 Washington, #12 OU, #2 Washington, #5 Georgia and #5 Georgia.
  2. We were blowing people off the ball and the defense was in a good spot. I can somewhat understand playing to make a 2 score game a 3 game in the second half but it was the second quarter. That isn’t the time to play conservative and start counting possessions. I’d have to go back and see the replay but watching it live I wasn’t thrilled with the way Blue navigated his blocking on that play.
  3. How I imagine the “take the points” people ignoring all analytics and game theory for the thrill of trotting out an unreliable FG kicker who has missed 4 of his last 10. They love it when we go for it on 4th down and get it though.
  4. A DL who entered today that Gerry said we will be involved with. From the Houston area. https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/stats/_/id/4683535/tyler-onyedim
  5. We seemed to get too caught up in Klubnik’s legs early in the game and were being too passive with our pass rush and spying. Too much dancing with lineman and hesitation. Once we turned up the heat a bit in the second quarter we started to find success. I can’t believe Clemson ran the ball on 3rd and 4th down at the goal line after what happened to A&M a few weeks ago.
  6. It looked like a few times they pulled him and moved Barron to nickel and inserted Holmes at CB. Muhammad had a bad game but I also thought a few of those throws from Klubnik were ridiculous. Tip your hat type throws.
  7. Do we know if he has additional voices on the headset now? Seriously asking. I know ‘hire an OC!’ is a popular reaction but have we thought about what quality, proven OC would come here to basically run someone else’s offense and have Sark looking over his shoulder the whole time? What if that OC leaves after 1 year? One of the things going for Texas right now is stability at the playcaller spot. Every recruit and transfer knows who will be their playcaller. It isn’t a dumb discussion but I think it goes a whole lot deeper than just saying let’s hire a playcaller at the hope it makes our head coach better in other areas when there is no guarantee it does. One of the biggest reasons we hired the guy is his ability to call plays.
  8. Well I don’t think you’d like who chimes in on the headset of what they want in special situations Its the head coach
  9. Like every other college coach. They didn’t reach the level they did with a bunch of knee jerk reactions and implementing whatever message board quick fix the fans want.
  10. Wisner scored a 50 yard TD on one against Florida about a month ago.
  11. Moved up 7 spots in NET overnight to #40. We are actually ahead of undefeated OU (#42). 0-2 Q1 1-0 Q2 2-0 Q3 7-0 Q4 Based on current NET rankings, 14 of our 18 SEC games will be Q1. Remaining 4 will be Q2.
  12. He expected this to be his NFL year and instead he has 4 total carries the last two games. We will have a fairly crowded room assuming Baxter comes back healthy and it sounds like we may look to add a portal guy. I just think it makes sense for Blue to go somewhere he can be more featured.
  13. IT with a few quick portal/draft related notes. My guess is Blue is who they are referencing in the second bullet point. *****Potential NFL departures have been a common query. I’m hearing more of the same on Matthew Golden and Michael Taaffe. “They’re up in the air. What the NFL recommends should carry weight.” *****IT expects one contributor from this team to enter the portal after this season. I think it’s a positive we’re only hearing one name, at least as of now. *****Of the players who have entered the portal, defensive tackle Tia Savea and Edge Justice Finkley are still with the team.
  14. Yikes. There is a large disconnect between what Maalik and his fanboys seem to think about him and what college programs seem to think about him.
  15. FCB — I'm hearing wide receiver Isaiah Bond(ankle) practiced on Wednesday and might be moving from questionable to probable for No. 5 Texas in a first-ever home College Football Playoff game against No. 12 seed Clemson on Saturday (3 p.m., TNT/Max).
  16. All is well in Norman. Added two FCS receivers today.
  17. “We probably had Eric Singleton in the bag until Auburn, with Hugh Freeze as playcaller and Jackson Arnold as QB, sent Singleton and his agent a PFF screenshot of Silas Bolden’s snap counts.” -Hermanator, probably
  18. Pete Nakos (On3) mentioned this regarding the Branch brothers “The brothers have an existing NIL deal with the Jordan Brand, which is something to know as their recruitment ramps up.”
  19. I am a little bummed to not see Air Force on the schedule.
  20. I know we are all happy that Davis was able to carve out a role after barely playing a lick his first 3 years, but as often as we find ourselves in 12 personnel, he just doesn't do much. PFF has him as one of the worst run blocking TE's in the country (go back and watch Arch's TD run against A&M and it's hilarious to see Davis with the opportunity to block about 4 different guys and he didn't touch a single one) and we know he doesn't offer much as a pass catcher.
  21. I'm sure Joey and the Double Eagle bros have convinced themselves they must push all the chips in. A joke of a non-conference schedule next year while avoiding four teams that finished in front of them in the standings this year. All that means probably means another 8-4/7-5 season loading. https://fbschedules.com/2025-texas-tech-football-schedule/
  22. *The Arch package. I'm not asking Arch to run QB power 5 times a game. But the threat of his legs should open up more options in the redzone, which is probably what this offense needs since we aren't very good at just straight up mauling people in the run game and have a QB who struggles when the field gets condensed and he has to throw guys open more.
