  1. I agree with what Gerry said this morning on coffee and football. It’s not what he looks like pregame or in practice that will matter. It will be how he reacts or looks after the first time he is hit.
  2. FCB with some injury updates
  3. FCB with an update on Ewers One source close to the situation said Ewers' ankle sprain wasn't progressing as quickly as initially hoped. That source said there's obviously still time for the ankle to respond to treatment before Saturday. Monday's practice was more of a walkthrough as Texas put in the game plan for Texas A&M, so not much was required physically of Ewers. Tuesday and Wednesday were more physical practices, and Ewers' ankle "was in a stiff brace." "Quinn took the first snaps with the first team offense, but he was definitely limited," the source said. Ewers has been getting daily treatment on his ankle, which will continue on Thanksgiving Day and Friday. The hope is that the injury will improve by Saturday.
  4. I’m not sure if it was just a bad stretch or unluckiness but they were in foul trouble that entire tournament. Had to sit a lot of guys for extended stretches. They play Baylor this week before coming to Austin so they could have 4 losses.
  5. Well that UConn game next Sunday just got a lot more interesting after how they looked in Maui. I guess you can’t control how the teams on your schedules play but we were all thinking UConn would be a top 5 team and assumed we would play a top 15-20ish Tech team. I guess Ohio State being a little better than expected so far might offset that. NC State game on Wednesday is pretty important. Looking like a Q1 road game.
  6. UConn about to go 0-3 in Maui?
  7. That is last year’s NET ranking (#30). I thought the same thing as you the other day when searching around for it but it said it hadn’t updated since March 17th. https://www.warrennolan.com/basketball/2025/net I don’t think they release the first one for this year until early December.
  8. The only narrative I’ll agree with a little is since he has pulled him once for performance, if he does it again even if it is for injury and the backup comes in and plays very well, there may not be any going back. And that probably isn’t a bridge he wants to cross but it’s also his job to do what is right for Texas and I think he knows that.
  9. Okay. Bottom line is Sark pulled him in the biggest home game of his life when that was probably the last thing he wanted to do, so those saying he won’t sit him or pull him this week if it comes to it doesn’t feel accurate.
  10. I mean, we are barely a month removed from Sark benching him in the second quarter of a game for performance so I have very little reason to believe he won’t do it again whether it be for injury or performance if he deems it necessary.
  11. At least one of their losses was to Tennessee.
  12. Ole Miss being ranked 14th with 3 losses to unranked teams is beyond embarrassing.
  13. I would feel fairly confident in that interior. Wild to think Neto was the same class as Campbell/Banks/Williams and would just be seeing his first significant action as a redshirt junior. But the reports on him seem to be good. It’s just an odd roster cycle at a position where you have 5 starters to have 4 of them departing after this year.
  14. Probably, but it’s already hard enough to get portal offensive tackles as it is and you would be trying to find one willing to come in and compete for a starting job or be content with being the first tackle off the bench. Easier said than done.
  15. I mean, can we confidently say the staff likes Stroh when he hasn’t even touched the field in two years here? Cojoe, Chatman and Goosby are all ahead of him in the pecking order in his own class as things currently stand.
  16. I hope they try to play Owens. A dude who isn’t even good coming off a major leg injury and playing for the first time all year? Yes please.
  17. We’ll know if Tyrese Hunter is the same guy if he goes 2 for 10 from the field tomorrow with 3 turnovers. Didn’t he have 32 points against OU in the last regular season game last year before going like 0 for 9 in the first round of the Big 12 tournament?
  18. What if a Kentucky defender rolled up on Jake Majors or Kelvin Banks or Isaiah Bond who is also playing with a bad ankle? It’s football. The risk of injury is there every play whether you are 100% healthy or not and is not a reason to not play someone if they are given the thumbs up from the training staff. Odds are about half the roster is dealing with a minor sprain somewhere at this point in the season. It’s week 13.
  19. He redshirted last year and has played in 6 games this year.
  20. Because I’m sure the answer would have been very insightful and not at all coach-speak. It would be a waste of a question. Seriously, what would you expect him to say if asked that?
  21. Because I’m sure the committee would look at Arch Manning the same way they looked at Brock Glenn.
  22. The OL also didn’t hold up well on that play.
  23. The fumble/pick 6 was not an injury thing. That was also a pretty good defensive play. The screen pass he threw on the 3rd and 23 was pathetic and he should have been pulled immediately after that. It sucks for him because he looked pretty good in that first half. Also, the fact he gets hurt about every other game is going to ding his draft stock maybe more than any play on the field.
  24. It was a long, winding road to get here, but a Charles/Sharma/Mbatchou DT class is about as good as we could have hoped for.
