  1. Michael Terry will be attending the pool party at the end of the month (25th I think), per Justin Wells
  2. If that 247 article from this morning is right this will be the top schools list with the announcement date being made public.
  3. Overall team ranking also moved from 15th to 13th with the update
  4. On3 released a rankings update: Smith Orogbo: 26 -> 20 Lance Jackson: 37 -> 22 Bo Barnes: 117 -> 61 Kade Phillips: 105 -> 65 James Simon: 115 -> 161 Rickey Stewart: 212 -> 215 KJ Lacey: 215 -> 255
  5. From Chad Simmons (national guy at On3) 4-star LB Madden Faraimo The buzz: Madden Faraimo wants to end his recruitment as soon as he can. He was quietly eyeing a decision last week, but the San Diego (Calif.) J Serra linebacker held off. That was a positive for Texas. Heading into that last official visit to Austin, the buzz was heavy around Notre Dame. USC isn’t going away either, and they have to be considered a contender, but Faraimo looked to be a lean to the Irish. That official visit to Texas opened his eyes. A decision this month is now unlikely, and he could end up taking a couple of more visits before he makes his decision. Faraimo is big on family and he has been around a lot of family members over the past week and he is working to make a decision. He just isn’t there there and there is a tight battle for that top spot.
  6. Gerry running through the upcoming decisions this morning: WR Kelshaun Johnson- A&M or Texas on July 10th. A&M has been pushing the longest but Sark has been in contact with him and his mom multiple times this weekend. LB Jonathan Cunningham- Texas or TCU on July 12th. Comes down to if he is okay with sitting a year and developing at Texas vs potentially getting on the field right away at TCU. WR Tanook Hines- USC, Notre Dame or Texas on July 15th. A&M has been in contact too and he thinks maybe it could be tied to Kelshaun Johnson TE Nick Townsend- Texas vs A&M and USC on July 15th. DT DJ Sanders- Texas or A&M. Michigan running third. Decision at some point in July. S Nathan Tilmon- An announcement is coming any day. Texas trending over Utah and TCU LB Madden Faraimo- Texas or Notre Dame. Decision coming this month. CB Aidan Anding- LSU visit in late July. Will be a Tiger unless something weird happens. WR Kaliq Lockett- A&M turning up the heat along with Texas, Bama and FSU. Decision in early August. WR Jamie Ffrench- Texas continues to feel good ahead of August 30th decision. OT Michael Fasusi- Late August decision. Texas vs OU with OU trending since late June. OT Nick Brooks- Texas continues to have confidence over Georgia ahead of the September decision ATH Michael Terry- Fall decision expected. Texas, Oregon, A&M and Nebraska.
  7. Damn apparently Patton got the same price tag as Zach Root. Around 400k.
  8. Myles Patton to A&M. That is a bad beat as was leaning Texas for a long time. I’m assuming the money truck got backed up when A&M found out Texas was involved.
  9. Johnson, Townsend and Hines pushing back their announcements due to Beryl, per OTF. Johnson now set to announce the 10th. Townsend and Hines the 11th.
  10. Should probably see what happens with Brooks and Fasusi. Seems like that guy could be someone to circle around to during the season if needed.
  11. I somewhat get the point you are trying to make but you just listed 24 guys. At some point the number of guys brought in for OV's is going to far exceed the number of spots in the class. Several of those guys you mentioned Texas barely even seriously recruited the last 6 months. I had to look up who Jonte Newman was and Michael Turner didn't even have a Texas offer.
  12. Texas is involved with Fisher but like you said, he has a lengthy list is suitors. I don’t think he is one of the ones on campus. I think one of the guys on campus is this guy https://gamecocksonline.com/sports/baseball/roster/player/connor-mccreery/
  13. I think they can get Mendoza across the line. That recruitment profiles well for Texas.
  14. This was signee I mentioned the other day that was close to flipping from A&M. It’s done now. OB said he doesn’t want to publicly make a big deal about it due to the backlash from A&M fans.
  15. Pretty damn important that Alex January is a hit and flashes early. Would be cool if Bryant and/or Bledsoe decided to turn the corner too from the 2022 class. The 2022 DT haul was not seen as anywhere close to a failure at the time. Ross, Bryant, Bledsoe, Swanson. Swanson was probably the only one questioned at the time when we took his commitment. The decision to only take Sydir Mitchell in 2023 is where things started going sideways. They passed on multiple guys in that class or would have crawled over broken glass to commit to Texas.
  16. It's interesting the difference in On3, 247 and Rivals when calculating rankings. I personally like On3's system, which only factors your top 14-15 commits in their overall scoring, so it doesn't reward teams who oversign. Texas is currently 16th. 247 rewards teams who sign a lot of guys, which is how you get Rutgers with the 14th-ranked class with 29 commitments in early July. Texas is currently 23rd. Not even sure what Rivals does but I'm sure it's stupid and makes no sense. Texas is currently 37th.
  17. Pettijohn, Rogers and Phillips are tomorrow. Should go 1 for 3. Nick Townsend on Monday. Cunningham next Friday. Tilmon is supposed to be soon
  18. Kade Phillips 5:30 announcement tomorrow per Gerry. Texas or LSU https://www.on3.com/db/kade-phillips-177910/
  19. "Dekorien Moore's mom texted Gerry Hamilton this morning and said it was a not money decision, Dakorien felt like it was a better overall situation at Oregon"- Bobby on OTF Obviously, I wouldn't expect a mother to come out and say it was all about bags, but part of me wonders if the entire family hoping it would be Texas, actually pushed Moore away and made him want to get away from home.
  20. This isn’t 2012. These kids don’t give a shit what Texas is doing and had no problem leaving the state the last 10 years.
  21. He is on his 4th job in 4 years and got laughed out of the NFL. He is great at a place like Oregon where his biggest strength (recruiting) is maximized and pairs well with their $trategy.
  22. These coaches love jerking each other off. Jones was the head coach at South Oak Cliff 10 years ago and Samples is self explanatory. Always gotta look out for your own.
  23. Just looked and in 2024 it was 3 (Simmons, Black, Filsaime) and 2023 was also 3 (Cook, Hill, McDonald). 2022 was 2 (Campbell, Banks).
  24. Gerry said two days ago none of his current hi’s have come off the board yet. He said he won’t even do hi’s for defensive lineman because of how wild the swings can be in those recruitments. No idea how many are outstanding but I’m assuming guys like Townsend, Phillips, Tilmon, Brooks make up some of them.
