  1. Hahahahahaha how on earth do you overturn that
  2. They said Jelkin was dealing with arm fatigue or something similar a few weeks and he threw out of the bullpen against K-State before making a normal start against TCU and being skipped completely against Tech. Not sure about Jean but he was roughed up his last two outings. Jelkin and Jean are two of the better pitchers in the conference so it would be a fortunate break for us if neither is available.
  3. A basketball poster on the OU on3 site who seems to be reputable said that OSU met with Brandon Garrison yesterday and upped their NIL offer to 300k to try to get him to return. He apparently told OSU the offers he has been getting from other schools, including Texas, are at least 2x what OSU is offering. This is for a dude who, while extremely talented and has a ton of potential, averaged 7 points and 5 rebounds last year. Lines up with what Gerry has been saying on OTF about the asking prices being out of control this cycle.
  4. That is a fake Twitter account. There is no Chris Reynolds who works for 247. Same account also tried to say Wade Taylor entered the portal last night.
  5. The starting pitcher for UH tonight is the pitcher from this video
  6. This Kent guy for Indiana State had pretty good numbers again the best competition they played: -14 points, 4 rebounds against Bama -12 points, 3 rebounds against Michigan State -7 points, 10 rebounds again Drake -6 points, 20 rebounds in the second matchup against Drake -22 points, 9 rebounds in the MVC final against Drake -35 points, 9 rebounds against SMU in the NIT -16 points, 7 rebounds against Cincy in the NIT -13 points, 7 rebounds in the NIT final against Seton Hall
  7. Another Indiana State guy we are in on
  8. Guys, that video is from over a decade ago when he was an assistant at BYU and did some video for a ceremony at Kentucky for the ‘96 national title team.
  9. Jamie Shaw (On3 national basketball guy) with some portal intel on a few guys PG Julian Larry, Indiana State INTEL: Julian Larry started 108 games over his four seasons at Indiana State. The 6-foot-3 lead guard who is originally from Frisco, Texas earned first-team MVC All-Defense for the second consecutive season this year. He finished second in the league with 188 assists and he led the MVC in steals with 59. I am told Larry will take his first visit this weekend, and Texas will get the visit. One source told me that the visit is worth monitoring. Larry, who shot 46.2 percent from three on the season, has also heard from programs like Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and others. His Indiana State head coach Josh Shertz was recently named the head coach at Saint Louis. I am told that he will go through the recruiting process, so continue to see where he sets visits. PF Carey Booth, Notre Dame INTEL: Carey Booth, the son of Denver Nuggets General Manager Calvin Booth, is a former top 100 prospect. The 6-foot-10 Booth ended his freshman year at Notre Dame with 19 starts in 33 games played. In his starts, Booth averaged 7.1 points and 5.0 rebounds. When I spoke with Booth last week, he mentioned programs like Ohio State, Illinois, Colorado State, Michigan, Texas, and Illinois. Booth has scheduled his first two official visits. He goes to Illinois on April 12 and then to Colorado State on April 14. Illinois gets Booth on campus first. Continue to watch for a commitment timeline and if he goes on any other visits.
  10. Visitors expected in the next 10 days according to Gerry Chris Youngblood, G, USF (15.3 PPG, 40% from 3) Robbie Avila, C, Indiana State (17.1 PPG) Julian Larry, G, Indiana State (11 PPG) Brandon Garrison, C, Oklahoma State (expected to visit for spring game next weekend) Malik Mack, G, Harvard (17.2 PPG) Jordan Pope, G, Oregon State (17.6 PPG) Rytis Petraitis, F, Air Force (15.7 PPG)
  11. We didn’t understand you the first 10 times you said this tonight but the 11th time it really sunk in
  12. Texas State’s Saturdays starter warming up in the bullpen lmao
  13. He also expressed excitement about Chris Stuart as the closer last year. We might be the best practicing and bullpen throwing team since 2019 Texas football under Tom Herman.
  14. Hurley, Duplantier, Hamilton were all available and we trotted out Cole Selvig in a key situation that decided the game.
  15. Throw Duplantier in the 4th and we are probably winning this game 2-1 right now.
  16. About to score fewer than 3 runs again against midweek arms. Only consistency is the inconsistency.
  17. Just a poorly managed game. Duplantier or Hamilton should have been used when it was bases loaded 1 out. You use your best bullets in the 3-4 moments that decide the game. Instead we used two throwaway pitchers and are now using our decent pitchers when the outcome is decided.
  18. Yeah, that pipeline has little to do with him. He was the lead recruiter on Casey Cummings though! It has been discussed here before but pretty sure Pierce wanted to dump him last offseason but he had another year left on his deal. Longley is far and away the best assistant and does the majority of the heavy lifting on the recruiting and hitting side.
  19. Third straight season he has used the home game against Texas State as a throwaway game after winning in San Marcos the previous night. May have been the difference between us hosting and not hosting last year.
  20. I’m not sure where people got the idea this was a 7 inning game.
  21. Good to see Hamilton was available and we brought in Selvig instead in a key situation.
  22. Add Harrison to the Texas Longhorn Tommy John wall of horror. Have split the series 1-1 the last 3 years with the road team winning every game
