  1. Growing up I always heard the game wardens up there made Wise County sheriffs look like Andy Griffith
  2. I've met OBrien he's like 5'4 and it pains me to have to take his side here
  3. We're gonna fuckstomp this team and then Tech will probably scare the shit out of us
  4. Im not sure we know these tournament games count towards the overall record
  5. Nix and Penix have been around so long the college game has slowed down for them. Its like a 26 year old putting up numbers in AAA, the college game is slower and it took them 5 years to catch up. Sometimes those guys make it at the next level but the safer bet is the guy that's young for his level. Ewers is 20 years old and still adjusting to college game speed, but has much more room to grow
  6. A lot can change one way or the other over the course of the next 3-5 games
  7. Veteran running backs on their 2nd contract have less value than 10 years ago. Cheap running backs in the draft still have value. 2 were drafted in the top 12 and 7 on the first 2 days. Those guys fell 10 spots at most, but Brooks is gonna drop from potential 1st RD completely out of the draft? His injury is so risky no NFL team will touch him but simultaneously we believe he'll be good to go week 1 if he comes back to Texas?
  8. It happens. I guess you don't keep up with the draft. Teams will gamble on upside 2014 Jaylon Smith 2nd round 2019 Jeffrey Simmons tore his ACL in predraft workouts. Drafted 19th 2021 Caleb Farley drafted 21st overall despite extensive injury history 2022 Jamison Williams torn ACL in the SEC championship game. Drafted 22nd overall
  9. Is aggy a better HC job than Michigan or USC?
  10. Brooks has basically nothing to gain by coming back and a lot to lose. He's got 10 good games of film out there and was the top RB on most people's board before he got hurt. That's enough to for some team to roll the dice on a potentially blue chip player with a Day 3 pick. Roschon got 800k guaranteed for signing as a Rd4 pick. Brooks does not come from money and Surly paid him 3500 dollars to tear it up for Texas this year. Now what if his recovery looks more like Neyor's or Michael Gallup. His 2024 film is what he'll be judged on, not this year. Even Blake Corum who has been posited as an extremely optimistic "he did it so everyone should be able to" does not look like the same back this year as he did last year. If his knee isnt full speed in 2024 he can get paid and nurse it on IR in the NFL. If he's not fullspeed at Texas he may be SOL
  11. Triston Casas 40 more walks and substandard 1st base defense was more valuable than Josh's premium 3rd base defense and otherwise identical offensive numbers, in the eyes of the Boston loving baseball writers
  12. How much H Town box is Sengun knocking down on a weekly basis?
  13. Hill. He would be number 1 on theirs or any team's wishlist off our roster. Someone let the coaches know please
  14. They made a Louisville commit look like absolute garbage last week with their pressure up front
  15. 0 is the biggest player we will have to pony up to hang on to
  16. He probably has an NFL job lined up already. I'll call my shot. The Panthers dickhead owner fires Reich after one year and gives Lincoln huge money to fix the Bryce Young mistake. Another easy division too
  17. Houston sports radio is going to be on fire tomorrow: Texans win Stroud may be the NFL MVP at this point Astros hire a manager Rockets take 6th in a row Got Jimbo
  18. Kyrie actually has been pretty fun to watch for the Mavs. He's mostly behaved pretty well since he's been here and is a good complement on the floor for Luka, since he can take over at times and gets the rest of the team involved in a way that Luka doesn't. Sure it could all come crashing down st any time- but such is life
  19. I expect the prayer circle at Clint's apartment clubhouse to be quite lively this week
  20. Has a rookie ever won NFL MVP?
