    Outcoached

One factor in being "outcoached" is that while Texas is a more talented team they are also a younger team. Oklahoma's offense has 8 starters in at least their 4th year of college football. Texas offense has 2. Probably a factor in a lot of the mental presnap mistakes. The fake punt in Q1 was a huge call Sark deserves credit for getting us in the football game, as well as the Red pass on 4th. He fucked up the end of the game though. I just hope he learns to finish in the red zone and at the end of games. Against Alabama we had nothing to lose and played to win. We came out scared to lose and played scared to lose
  2. Because the safety met Murphy 3 yards in the backfield while he was still getting out of his stance.

I never cringed harder than when he stopped and said "Beautiful day for a game" all nervous sounding after the interview was already over

Seems like a time to bring up the fact we hired a WR coach who's supposed strength was "being the adult in the room". You would think that would mean our guys played hard, blocked, didnt drop passes. That same coach hasn't made much impact on the recruiting trail either

People thought that the effort OU put forward on a gray Saturday morning in that ugly Cincinnati stadium in a game they took control of immediately and were never in any danger of losing was the truest measure of what they could do

What pisses me off is hitting a big play to the one to get them on their heels then fucking substituting giving the defense a chance to sub and catch their breath. All because you want to send in your cute goal line packages. Seems like every time a team hurrys to the line in that situation they catch the defense on their heels and punches it in. But we refuse to do that. Also, seems like there is a reason that for the first 80 years or so that fullbacks were used in football, teams utilized a different skillset than fat defensive linemen. Too slow and it cost us just like the stupid reverse to Whittington in the 1st half cost us
  7. Its probably still Sweat or Murphy but Im still mad at them for being terrible fullbacks plus they play half the snaps
  8. This dude needs some respect as far as how good he is and what he means to our defense. He's given up like 2 passes this year (arguably he may have expected help on those also) and was a huge reason why our pass rush- regarded by many as a question mark coming into the season-was such a strength so far this year. He's also a much better tackler than Holmes, which is obvious because he outweighs him by like 40 pounds. Not making excuses, because injuries happen and they happened on both sides. And Holmes/Brooks/Malik didnt lose us the game. But we are a completely different defense without him shadowing and clamping the other teams primary receiver. He may be our best defensive player
  9. Aggy will move into the top 25 with Maryland and UK and possibly Louisville getting beat
  10. I used to work with this chick who's 3 year old son was always running around the restaurant. He's a 6'4 freshman defensive back now in Cali and just got offered by Washington and Arizona
  11. They will gaslight us all and say intentional grounding is not reviewable
  12. Why do we as a country continue to accept garbage ass crooked officiating?
  13. I feel like UCLA favored over Wash St by 3.5 is crazy. What am I missing?
  14. Forney QB sacked on 4th down at the Longview 10. 30 seconds left. Lobos hang on
  15. Longview up 13-7 drives to the Forney 1 yard line and gets stuffed. FG is blocked but Forney blows the scoop and score. Jackrabbits ball just short of midfield with 4 minutes left
  16. Longview 10 Forney 7 at halftime. Two top 10 5A teams. Forney has turned their program around nicely. They have a 2026 RB and Kelvion Riggins apparently plays for them now too
  17. Pretty stupid to have Duncanville at 3. 30-0 at halftime over Waxahachie. Duncanville has elite talent at QB, RB, WR, DE and DT. They havent allowed a point since SOC put up 13 in week 0. Duncanville beat North Shore last year to end the mental edge NS had and this years team is better.
  18. True. I don't even know who would be a candidate for the team though that would anchor a defense. 1992 Scottie aint walking through that door. Better just score every time on offense. It also does seem like a wasted opportunity to get the next generation some rub, although Fox or Edwards could really elevate themselves being the most athletic guys in the tournament.
  19. Its not just about the Alabama game. The Ags for sure want to keep as many recruits away from Dallas this weekend as possible, because who wouldn't want to play in that game
  20. 4-1 Waxahachie has Duncanville tonight. The Wax is really good, and made a very good Desoto team play 4 quarters. Having said that, this Duncanville team could potentially be the most dominant Texas high school team ever.
  21. If nobody is off limits Curry, Fox George, Booker KD, Tatum Lebron, Draymond Embiid, Davis* Final 2 spots probably Bam and another guard pick from Edwards, Jimmy, Dame or Derozan. No to Kyrie or Harden *Im a Banchero stan so Id give him or Mobley the last big spot if one of them (Davis) can't go
  22. I've argued for years that if a player is good enough to make an NFL roster they should take the money. But i wonder if that calculus has changed in this particular scenario. He's not gonna be here playing for free. Caleb Williams claims he will make more $ as a senior at USC than as the #1 overall pick. He's probably full of shit. But think about the earning power of a potentially Heisman finalist running back for the biggest brand in college sports. Compare that to a second round, 4 year NFL contract which is 99% likely to be the only multi year contract a running back is going to get. Big second contracts for running backs have gone the way of fullback. But that bag will still be there in 2025 and for Brooks, he should consider how to best maximize his potential value in the environment at hand. Tl,DR it may be conceivable that in Jonathan Brooks specific case he could earn more for a season at Texas before signing a 4 (or 5) year contract than what he's going to get paid after signing said contract
  23. Undefeated 6A #9 North Crowley takes on 3-1 Boswell. Last year's game came down to a dropped potential GW touchdown pass for the Pioneers. Boswell has a good RB, tough QB, and some pretty good athletes on defense. North Crowley probably should be favored by 15-20
