  1. I remember when Fox first started broadcasting NFL football its pregame show was a little weirder and they would do a top 5 players of the Week every week and Al Del Greco was always number 1. My brother and I didnt know why that was funny, and I still don't. But we still laughed
  2. Good job giving him the attention he comes here for guys
  3. Wild timing for ISIS to make their US comeback just in time to provoke us into clearing their asses out of Syria so the Russians can have their port back
  4. If there wasn't a playoff imagine this Oregon team vs a 2 loss backup QB Georgia for the chip
  5. Its interesting that ESPN both A. Teamed with the NFL to put a game featuring the leagues biggest star Mahomes on Saturday directly in competition with the playoff games on TNT B. Have their top cfb talking head Herbstreit shit all over the new playoff system repeatedly It looks like ESPN is so invested in the mega conference system, in particular the SEC that they want the playoff to fail so the conference can set up its own postseason tournament
  6. That Nix bomb traveled 67 yards in the air and hit his receiver in stride
  7. Gbenda could sneak in there. Unlikely but possible
  8. Its a pretty old and simple sports trope. Heels are cocky and run their mouths about how great they are and people buy tickets hoping to see them get their comeuppance.
  9. Both can be true. Teams in the 20s look like they'll get a solid R1 prospect. Some past drafts have seen a dropoff in the mid-late teens I wouldn't take Hunter in the top 10 without a solid plan of what you're going to do with him. Carter and Williams are both badass, although maybe we made the UGA guys great. Tet McMillan at 15 is a great pick
  10. Pretty strong first round if you aren't needing a QB
  11. Wonder what Schloss thinks about the recent juco ruling. If its applied to college baseball, and it appears that it will, its going to have a bigger impact than even NIL Big teams like Texas and other SEC teams are largely gonna be made up of 1st round prospect types and 26 year olds. MLB teams are already increasingly preferring to draft college players so these prospects will end up in juco or mid major colleges and then transfer to the SEC for their "contract" years. Kentucky always gets the top basketball one and done basketball guys, but the teams lose because they are talented 18 year olds going against slightly less talented but more experienced 22 and 23 year olds. Hurley at UConn figured it out and thrives in the new system, where titans of the old system crumbled Super interesting to think about and watch play out from a talent acquisition/identification standpoint
  12. We need two defensive tackles. That's it. Anything else is a luxury. We have until the beginning of next season to get them. And this season is still going
  13. I will say it was nice to watch a Texas game without Herbstreit
  14. The obvious question is whether Sellers is going elsewhere and it hasnt announced for whatever reason
  15. Somebody should hire the North Crowley OC. Nevermind the Asian thing, not only did North Crowley smash the state record for points, they put together an extremely impressive game plan against Westlake and went over 600 yards. Quentin Gibson went from a backup qb as a jr to turning into Antonio Brown scoring 36 tds his senior year. That's coaching. Gates has put together a hell of a staff, and is doing a phenomenal job himself. But Eli Reinhart is a rising star in the coaching ranks https://spectrumlocalnews.com/tx/south-texas-el-paso/news/2024/12/10/football--minority--asian--coach
  16. Im just gonna say that Penn St and OSU looked better than I think they actually are because it was too fucking cold for SMU and Tennessee
  17. The only player I can remember who was 100% determined to play a different position than his coach wanted that has actually succeeded is Drew Sanders
  18. Number 13 for North Crowley is a sophomore tight end looks like a dude we should know
  19. Gibson blew up this season. Went from 0 offers to what he is now, which worked out for Coach Prime. Cunningham the LB is a Horn and Turntine the tackle is our top 2026 target
  20. cmontexas replied to naija's topic in Football
    Goosby is better than Williams
  21. God I love threads where its just drunk happy dudes posting their bourbon 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
  22. North Crowley has a chance to complete the 1% sweep /there's something happening here
