  1. CTJ, I know you're involved in the money side of things. I theorize that Choice had great unseen value on the retention side of NIL, getting his guys to buy in and reup cheap. That will be difficult and potentially costly to replace.
  2. Hey, the fun thing is, we'll get to see if we start pursuing transfer rbs in the future and if that's just a lucky coincidence
  3. That's a prestigious award
  4. Its no disrespect to Choice to suggest that good coaches sometimes have differences in philosophy and move around. Choice didnt want to recruit college running backs. Maybe he didn't want to fuck over his fellow rb coaches who knows. Its not a knock on his character. Maybe we get a rb coach who's more aggressive with the transfer portal. Maybe Choice is more suited to coaching grown men under contract in the NFL and positioning himself for a bigger role. Both can be true. Maybe I'm completely wrong. Either way Im just some dumbass who watches too much Texas football
  5. Remember when he was asked about the Horns potentially targeting rbs in the transfer portal and he said "Nah, Choice good"? That got under my skin a little and I took some heat a couple weeks back when I suggested he may have been nudged to the door. Understandably, since hes a respected assistant who was a key factor in several recruitments at different positions. He will be a loss. But I'm excited to see some new blood in the offensive coaching room
  6. Adrian Peterson Jr (the belt one I think) is a 2030 RB that hilariously destroyed his 7th grade competition this year
  7. https://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/2024/10/rutgers-plans-to-up-playing-time-for-deeper-group-of-defensive-backs.html
  8. If this is true then Jack Dorsey had it all too and did absolutely nothing with it
  9. Schiano is a good defensive coach to learn from. It should also be pointed out that Schiano is pretty hands on with coaching his DBs and came up as a DB coach, so our new guy may not deserve ALL the credit for developing those pros
  10. I really dont think they wanna move the team to Vegas. It's gotta be some back table deal to legalize it here in Texas. Vegas is hurting right now. The younger generations like phones more than slots and its too expensive. https://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/football/super-bowl/lvcva-projects-4-decline-in-number-of-super-bowl-weekend-visitors-3278196/
  11. Holy shit this site has become facebook
  12. Wallen was my initial prediction, but he may be too much of a drunken liability. After serious consultation I now put Post Malone as the favorite on the board followed by Luke Combs
  13. I love the OG sponsored bits he throws into every Landman episode. Obviously designed to go viral amongst the chuds who love tough talk and owning dumb libs
  14. Rock isn't coming back until they figure out how to make chicks like rock music again Rock bands make music for dudes and dudes don't go out unless dragged by their gf
  15. Hot sluts are the engine of the music industry. Before cell phones and tinder we had to go out to bars and watch local rock bands to see and possibly engage with hot sluts. It drove the scene and those bars full of hot sluts and horny bros gave bands something to work for. In the late 90s/2000s all the sluts shifted towards wanting to fuck rappers. So everyone became soundcloud wanna be rappers. Rap almost always sucks live too so the live music scene crumbled. Country has been the only music with a thriving live scene, and the sluts and bros are starting to discover it. Now all the sluts are out looking for a Morgan Wallen and the bros are dressing like him
  16. Next year they'll get Morgan Wallen As much as I hate the stupid asshole comments about rap and never want to be on those people's side ever, I think hip hop's era as the dominant form of pop music is starting to wane. Country is the new NPC music
  17. Thats not what mumble rap even is
  18. This is kinda like if Buster Douglas had tweeted at Mike Tyson after the Jake Paul fight. Also, of the 25 Super Bowls this century, Tom Brady has been in 11 of them, so pretty good odds that he would in fact be there
  19. Next year will have The Eagles to make the old whites happy
  20. They should race their BMWs around Loop 12 for DCC privileges
  21. I have a phone that tells time
  22. I wonder how deep he was into that Sam Bankman Fried scam
  23. I wonder if we'll see a different philosophy regarding the Star position. Personnel wise I think its an interesting fit. We bring back 3 starting safeties, a CB and last year's Star. Barron moved from Star to CB his contract year and it worked out amazingly. Im wondering if Guilbeau plays CB next year (he's kinda slow though) and McDonald moves down to Star, and plays it as more a SS/LB hybrid instead of a slot corner; with Williams and Taafe at the two safety positions. Probably a discussion for the DB thread or elsewhere, but it relates to the Coaching staff thread inasmuch it will be interesting to see what school the new coach subscribes.
  24. Canelo turns down Jake Paul, will fight in Saudi Arabia for big money. They probably got to the stage of negotiations that involved fixing so team Alvarez (wisely imo) bailed
  25. Refs wouldnt let it happen
