  1. Unaware of the parameters of your trip, nor the disposition of your pet, but...I can't help but think that you would be better off finding a good boarding facility near you.
  2. They’d be better off if they just wrote it off. Amirite?
  3. So many Sunday dinners, celebrations with friends, birthdays, and memories there. My Dad was tight with Mr. Lee, and he used to love to tell Mr. Lee to "feed us" and he would start pulling the puppet strings in the kitchen and lay out an off-menu feast for us. In high school, I took many dates there and was pretty tight with Larry. I always remember him studying behind the cash register. He even hooked me up with a decorated private room for one of my Proms. Aside from the awesome memories, it is the Chinese food from which all others are judged. I have rarely found any that lives up to Mr. Lee's standards. I can duplicate the Egg Foo Yung, but I've never been able to duplicate the Egg Rolls or the Fried Rice. The marinated Pork they used was truly something special. Good times.....
  4. Necro bump here... Ever eat at Chung Mei at Dodderidge & Alameda?
  5. If you are not a Beatles fan, then why the fuck would you consider paying good money to see a show that features…ah…never mind.
  6. You tell ‘em, Steve Dave!
  7. Just booked a trip for the first week in Feb (happy birthday to me!). I've stayed in every Bonvoy property around the area except the W. Love that location, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Wife (no pics) requested Arnaud's and then told me the rest was up to me. Hmm.....
  8. A great place to party. That’s awesome.
  9. Those guys...?
  10. For those in the East Texas area, The Tamale House on US 69 & FM 706 outside of Lufkin has the best pork tamales this South Texas boy has ever had.
  11. Try this again.
  12. Made Burnt Ends out of it. Brined with Molasses, seasoned with my own Pork Rub, smoked with cherry wood til 170, cubed, and then tossed in a mixture of Stubb’s Spicy, Honey, Serrano Pepper Flakes, and Coke. Then back to the smoker for a few more hours They got really dark, but taste a helluva lot better than they look. Turned out great.
  13. Was a good day.
  14. So…480 resolution? And the hot shit audio at the time was Dolby Pro-Logic. Hell, I still have a 1994 JVC Pro-Logic receiver that currently powers my awesome 4.1 sound in my Game Room. Old-school, baby!
  15. I had a buddy that had hundreds of these. I would go over to his apt for movie nights in his apt. It seemed badass in the early to mid-90s, but now it makes me wonder what kind of resolution and sound we had back then. What was so incredibly badass then seems quite quaint now.
  16. Well…fuck that doctor…? If they’re gonna be that fucked up about their operations, then why would you give a shit about maintaining an appointment or hearing their medical opinion about…anything.
  17. How many different upper respiratory viruses have you had? How would you fucking know?
  18. Divorce thread over there ———->
  19. I miss that place. Shopped there most of my life.
  20. Judging from his menu, you may not want to…
  21. Even though it’s closed, it’s still the nicest place in town.
