  1. Seems like they should know. Kinda like all the emails, postcards, phone calls, and text messages reminding me of the census. Don’t you assholes already know that I’ve done it...!
  2. Feed him a shitload of donuts and vodka on a Saturday night. Throw a screaming child in his living room on a Sunday morning. Blow Paprika everywhere. Roll film. He’ll be fucking great!
  3. Excellent scene. Completely fictional, but served the narrative well.
  4. Cheers to you! Happy 40th.
  5. When I moved from Corpus Christi to Fort Myers for 3 years, it was hot there, so I came back.
  6. Thermometer in my car read 99 this afternoon in Naco. Was humid as fuck, too. But I had an awesome Cuban for lunch at Macklemore’s along with my first Karbachtoberfest of the year. Except for the swamp ass, it was a good day.
  7. Feeling incredibly grateful here in Lufkin. A few doses of some much needed rain. A few breezes. By dawn, the rain is done and all is dead calm. Gonna be a normal day around here. Relieved and grateful for my piney wooded homestead.
  8. If you do, you'll be the first person to actually say it...and then do it.
  9. Fucking eye of Irma went right over my goddam house. I know that because I was there. "Hurricane-proof house" and all that. Spent a week without power. No damage at all. Lost $100 worth of groceries and $500 in wine. Oddly, FEMA didn't seem to give a shit about that. My utility bill rocked that month, though. Drove through Michael's damage the morning after (when they were still mobilizing to clean IH-10 and all the side roads) on our move back to TX. That was a long fucking day. I live in the East Texas Piney Woods now. First time in my life I've not had to worry about having storm shutters.
  10. Where’s Powers Boothe when we need him?
  11. Sounds like a Tuesday on my back patio.
  12. I thought we had rules here...
  13. Agreed. Can't blame them for doing some profit-taking over the their previous 6-year product. Just not really worth it considering all the other drinkable product out there. I don't dislike it. Just not a favorite to my palate.
  14. Sounds like poor planning. I would cut a bitch for some Hooters right now.
  15. I have a friend from high school that looks like that now. So grateful I got to play with them back then. Good times.
  16. Totally worth the visit if you’re in the area, though. Amazing staff (sexy too!), superb food, excellent Southern hospitality. And, of course, the fine brown liquor.
  17. Brisket cook and some Elijah Craig Barrel Proof sampling yesterday. Between The Whiskey Project on Saturday and this, it has been a fine weekend in GA, indeed.
  18. I’m from South Texas, and this offends me. Just cuz you caught a fish once down there doesn’t entitle you to destroy the good name of the region by naming your shitty overpriced Bourbon after it.
  19. Side question for my fellow-brown-liquor-enthusiasts... Has anyone been to The Whiskey Project in Roswell, GA? Will be in Atlanta this weekend (Canton, actually). Was wondering if it’s worth checking out? Do I need a res?
  20. Has anyone been to The Whiskey Project in Roswell? Just wondering if it’s worth it...?
  21. How long did it take you to explain your order?
