  1. Y’all have a place to buy seeds from? I’m assuming there much better price/variety from somewhere that isn’t HD e Lowe’s online
  2. We were camping in brazos bend last night. Got heavy rain around 6p plus haul, then a break until sometime around midnight I guess. Crazy amount of lightning. On our way out today, not far from the park, we saw a power line pole snapped in half and tbe wooden fence farther off the road looked like something ran through it. Wild night.
  3. Yes. Looks like it was V
  4. Great games in the background. I played some d&d like dungeon crawler that had some graphics but was mostly text. You could make characters to fill your party up to 4, if someone died you could rez them or build a new lvl 1 character that would probably also die. There was no map in the dungeon. I think the intention was for you to get out some graph paper and chart out as you went. F that. Of course without a map one wrong turn and your lost hitting random encounters and quickly having to roll 4 new characters
  5. This seems suspicious. Did I miss the news cycle where people speculated this guy was off’d? I’ve seen The Voyeurs. No way I believe it was really suicide
  6. They sacrificed a bunch of dudes and hung them upside down to drain their blood and then used that blood as war paint in the first movie. They’re bad people. We’re not supposed to be surprised they do bad things. Why are we surprised they do bad things?
  7. Sort of related - anyone know where I can get some cheap / free laying hens near lake Jackson?
  8. One of the best games. I need to play through this with the kids.
  9. About 3-4 years ago I partially tore my right pec. Doctor did injections of my own blood (plasma?) to promote healing, but surgery not an option. My left pec has very recently started hurting doing bench. Feels like it might be similar pain. I’m also mildly terrified of tearing again, so it’s always in the back of my head fucking with me, but it’s always been a fear of re-tearing right side. Question 1 - can a doctor do any scan and say ā€œyep, you’re about to tear it if you don’t stopā€ question 2- is there anything I can do that isn’t never lifting again? I’m fine taking a break if that would do it, but if I have something wrong with ME I’m concerned it would just come back after a break
  10. You were so messed up you dropped your kids off in the dark at a vacant school during spring break? Did you leave them there all day 😃
  11. Yeah I’m not sure I consider flint stones a 90s thing, and every kid from at least the 80s and forward knows the simpsons.
  12. No. I mean like most code things it depends on where you are, but in general no.
  13. I’d get more info on the backstab / wire size thing. Bunch of electricians with their noses in the air saying that’s not how we used to do things. Wire size is legit concern, but unless I’ve worked with someone before, I don’t trust them to not try and sell me blinker fluid, and I’d want them to show me their math or do it myself. You got a pic of the hole in the breaker panel? eta - also, what exactly is wrong with your water heater?
  14. Yeah i guess if people are openly doing drugs and sleeping at work a first written warning may come off as draconian.
  15. How about just write him up every time he falls asleep at work?
  16. we didn’t have any records then, and we still don’t have any now.
  17. I just found an unopened Amazon box from 20 fucking 18. We needed a record play so bad we just couldn’t live without it. We have a cash flow problem, yet shit from Amazon just keeps showing up and getting shoved in a hole somewhere unopened.
  18. Yeah. Whether someone is renting or owning, things are going to break, and it just takes time to fix them. If you’re not willing/wanting to be the asshole then it is worth it to hire someone to tell a tenant to stfu about something like an AC unit in February / March.
  19. Thanks. Reading around, sounds like planting sweet corn anytime in March or even early April should be ok. I’ve never grown corn before. Is it something I can walk away from for 2 months except on the weekends?
  20. I think we’re going to stay in Brazoria where we have a couple acres this summer. Kids really want to plant a garden. Is there anything we can plant late May that would give some enjoyment? Peas? I don’t need award winning fruits/veggies or a harvest that will feed us all winter, just something to enjoy. Would any tomato’s grow? Is there anything incredibly low maintenance we could plant in a weekend in March that would survive and produce in the summer?
  21. If this is your supply line from the meter, might be cheaper to run a 1ā€ Pex supply line yourself at this point.
  22. I know they are showing R rated films like Deadpool now, but I think child rape in a kids cartoon is probably a bridge too far even for Disney.
  23. I know we all want to be back, and we point to how fast we did it 60 years ago, but no one mentions we killed 7-8 astronauts trying to get things off the ground then versus zero now. Safety culture in all industries is different now, and that’s a good thing, but it also comes with more caution and slower progress.
  24. First episode was good. You never know what you’re going to get with your actors, and I think all these kids did pretty well
