  1. Thank you for all the responses. My goal is just to encourage her in a way she can keep learning because she enjoys it. There is a small college around here, so it sounds like reaching out to them and her band teacher may be the best route
  2. My daughter has always liked playing instruments, and we’ve encouraged it. In 6th grade the school we were at had an orchestra and she started playing violin. She’s continued this year in 7th grade and enjoys it. She can listen to songs on the radio and convert them to her violin. She’s dabbled a little in writing her own song for the piano with her teachers help. We have just moved, and she’s going from a science magnet with orchestra to a school that is smaller and more similar to what I grew up with. It will require a bit more student/parent outside of school work. She’s going to have to switch instruments, but she’s excited about that because she’s wanted to learn clarinet. I know nothing about music. I see all these books about music theory, and I even see they offer classes on it at some of the fancier high schools. She loves to read also. Is there anything anyone would recommend for her age level? Or even any YouTube instruction videos? I just have no idea where to begin and don’t want waste her time with something that is frustratingly advanced or just poorly put together.
  3. Original pirate you mean Jod? He was in the supervisors tower, and I’m sure he escaped The setup and line “so which are you lying about” was great
  4. I don’t think even god can do anything about the rail road.
  5. It doesn’t look anything like the one Luke used. It looks like something from the high Republic.
  6. I hope we can get at least 45 minutes for the finale
  7. He was great GoT. Similar enough character I think he can pull it off
  8. Kinda lost all hope that capn jod might turn out to have a soft spot. I love the Star Wars pirate music. Was that the father / son / daughter in the background of the office the parents were taken to?
  9. I could have retired at 35 if I’d found a way. Now I’ll probably work until I’m dead.
  10. Based on the pictures you were probably also 50-100 lbs lighter. Who manages the wreath fund when you give yourself a heart attack?

    Dragon Age

Is this just Inquisition continuation, or did they change the fighting system?
  14. I drove over an hour to a sheet metal shop on roughly 59 and 610 N. The fencing I need is about 35 cents a foot there vs 85 cents at tractor supply (and over $1 at HD/Lowes). Got my car in line and went in and they were closing because of the rain. Ffs. Forklifts work in the rain, even if it’s bodies in the trees rain.
  15. You could skip the middle step and just go ahead and light your house on fire. That will keep the pex from freezing.
  16. Who was the actress playing the host / guide on the planet? Jod’s take on not having any attachments is a fun twist on the Jedi dogma.
  17. I’m xenial, but my wife says I have the mind of a boomer. So explain to me these browser add on things.. Are they for everything? Different browser add on for different stores / shopping category? Are any worth using? I mean 30% cash back seems ridiculous. I don’t trust that and feel like there has to be a catch
  18. POS cop and POS governor, but, shockingly, something on Twitter is a lie trying to get clicks. There was no lynching. There was a murder. DeValkenaere was the first Kansas City police officer convicted of killing a Black man. He was found guilty of second-degreeinvoluntary manslaughter and armed criminal action by Jackson County Judge Dale Youngs in November 2021. In March 2022, Youngs sentenced DeValkenaere to six years in prison. Lamb was killed in December 2019 after police followed him onto his property. They said he had been in a high-speed chase with another car, that he had traffic violations and he had recently harmed a woman. The courts found that Lamb was not in possession of a gun at the time of the shooting, that DeValkenaere’s entry onto Lamb’s property was illegal and that DeValkenaere was not acting in self-defense or in defense of the other officer.
  19. You know it’s true though
  20. That looks meh. However, John Williams makes good movies great, and great move movies iconic. I hope they decided to lean in to his music.
  21. Can you 3d print a gun?
