  1. @ONE YARD not bothering me. I enjoy seeing real world rehab. Better than the hgtv rehabs by far.
  2. You charge them to do that? If not you should.
  3. Gotta say I’m impressed and surprised with my kids. I figured they’d get tired/bored after 5 minutes and I’d finish it all. I’m paying them $5 and all the s’mores they can eat. May need to bump the cash payout.
  4. Check your local pawn shops. We got a 2300 psi electric ryobi for $100. Works great on driveway, house, and brick wall. Also found a 21 V dewalt electric framing nailer pulse charger and battery for $225. on the pressure washers - had anyone tried to remove flaking paint with 2300ish psi? I’m wondering if I need to rent something bigger to nock the paint off the exterior of a house before repainting. I’m mainly interested in getting the loose stuff
  5. I remember that but I just thought that was part of his crazy.
  6. Was golden man a statue in episode 1, or we just didn’t notice he was alive?
  7. Didn’t know that Wanda’s kids were in this. I’m betting vision shows up
  8. There hasn’t been enough positive in this thread, so I’ll start: lumber is back down to only about double what it was pre-pandemic. A little bit of sarcasm thrown in but it is a nice teen and I hope it continues so I don’t need to bring an armed guard to HD to get lumber for framing. To get back on track though, from one of our suppliers this morning: I want to provide you an update on the impact of the Sulfur market. For 2Q22, the Green Market Sulfur index has settled. The index is now $481/LT, up $199 from the 1Q22 index of $282/LT. It’s a big move for sure. The only other time the price has been at this level was in 2008 when it hit $617 before falling to -0- a few months later at the start of the 2009 recession.
  9. Don’t those style shingles last a hundred years or something ridiculous?
  10. Most of our kids don’t know such a time even existed.
  11. Going to hijack a little. At work we went from iPhone 10 to 13 as the 10s have needed to be replaced. I was the 2nd or 3rd to get one. All 3 of us have almost no speed when off WiFi. Something like 0.1 down 0.1 up. 5g or lte. Doesn’t matter what part of houston. We have ATT. All the iPhone 10s still work fine. IT guy hasn’t figured it out. Any recommendations?
  12. Never really expected to read a comment about silsbee, let alone one recommending a restaurant. Grandpa had a log cabin in silsbee on a hundred or so acres right next in his brother. My parents and i lived there for a year or 2 when I was 4-5. Lots of exploring, hunting, fishing, swimming and boating. Both were sold when they died. Miss doing that. What was the all you can eat bbq crab place? Loved that growing up. We were related to the owner in some distant way (which could probably be said if about 90% of the population).
  13. We’re looking at stopping in Nashville on our way to see family in June. We’d have all day on Sunday and time Monday before we left at noon. Wife and kids like music stuff. We also like outdoors stuff. I’m agreeable to anything. Any recs and must dos?
  14. I know this one at least initially is supposed to be insulated a little from the main MCU, but there were posters up for the post blip relocation / rehome for all the dusted people that came back. But the Ethan character didn’t mention the snap with the holocaust. Is he team Thanos was (half) right?
  15. Lol. I’m a nerd (Obi Wan) and engineer, not a lady doctor.
  16. Sort of an interesting related occurrence - I’ve had 3 operator candidates from companies making hand sanitizer over the last week that are seeing layoffs or reduced hours and wages. Combination of high input costs and cratering demand.
  17. A lot of the 2-3 year hourly staff has. Some have almost doubled their pay rate. Myself, I like what I do and have worked myself in to a decently high position and salary for my age. I’ve looked around casually and would have to take a pay cut in most cases. Or move to Crosby.
  18. I’d love to only get a 6% raise. My company, after not giving a raise since 2019, will be giving an average of 3.25-3.5%. I will say at least we bumped the starting hourly rate because it has been hell competing for skilled mechanical labor when Buccees pays more. We also got a notice from different chemical suppliers of another 10-20% price increase starting in May on 3 of our chemicals (2 of which are our main ones that make up the bulk of our expenses).
  19. I’m a marvel nerd and didn’t know anything either. I like issac, thought it was humorous in spots, and it was actually more suspenseful than I expected. Overall enjoyed it.

    Getting old sucks

Does anyone know if you can take predisolone long term? I’ve been having a lot of pain from right shoulder blade to left from January. Dr have a me a 5 day prescription (6 pills day one, the. 5, 4, ext). Felt great 6 hours after first dose. Mild pain started doing back a day after stopping. It’s been 2 weeks and it’s got owrse
  21. Is that scaffolding? Haven’t seen that setup before if so. It would be mildly terrifying being the person cutting that beam out.
  22. Well it had to do with (stopping) penetration, so I thought you might have some relatable knowledge
  23. @Steel Shank or @ROFL BOX or any of the others here that might know what they are taking about: any thoughts?
