  1. This thread is approaching peak surly nerd. Good work.
  2. It was explored in the EU, but a Jedi doesn’t have to be Sith to be a bad guy. If you only know the movies, that’s all you think. But it makes sense from a story telling perspective to not make everything black and white and expand the possibilities as that expands the stories you can tell
  3. There was a 2-4 episode arc where the clone troopers were laying siege on some planet. There was a Jedi that they were laying the ground work for a dark turn, and he treated the soldiers like fodder. Lots of questioning of command chain, clones dropping left and right, questions whether they were human with a right to live essentially. Very dark for a kids cartoon. Was not sure it was appropriate for my (at the time) 4 and 6 year old. We forged ahead though. Getting them ready for the opening scene of saving private Ryan.
  4. Yeah, want to know if my friend should feel dirty or not. I had no idea what/who JoJo is. I’m still not sure of the age in that picture taken in 2006, but a quick google search indicates no shame should be felt looking at current pictures
  5. It’s been a while, but i think I remember not dealing with artillery unless they had enough movement to move and shoot or I had enough to roll them in and out of city bombardment range. If you didn’t know attacking across rivers is bad - did you know you get a bonus defending from a hill? I think trees provide some bonus as well, and maybe it’s wooded hills that provide the highest.
  6. What is that meme from?
  7. Crazy we don’t have one. This is it then. Either of Civ 6 or Civ Revolutions 2 on iPhone worth it?
  8. Wellyeah.gif I played the original civ on the 486 that I bought from my cousin in early mid 90s. He didn’t have his manual, so I had to guess at the questions to keep playing. I don’t know how many months of my life I’ve spent on “just one more turn” and then “oh look the sun is coming up.” Pretty sure we have a thread around here. The thing that always drove me nuts was the time between turns by about the industrial revolution. Even recently for 6 (maybe it was 5) I had a computer that was decently over spec for that version and it’d still take WAY too long g on big maps near the end game. I still waited and drank my coffee at 4 AM waiting for that next turn.
  9. I say this not as an insult, but maybe go back to the rock you were living under and watch the movie when it comes out. If you’ve kept yourself this spoiler free, that’s pretty amazing and you should just go enjoy it.
  10. Pretty much. And nothing wrong with that. I enjoy being surprised. Also we don’t know if something in L&T would give too much away for DrS2. I enjoy Bale as an actor. I hope his character lives and ends up being the Loki/Thanos reoccurring villain for this phase.
  11. I have no idea what is supposed to be going on there.
  12. @TXSooner518 the way I read your post, you have access to about $370k in capital that, even at 5%, is still cheap money. I’d find a way to get that money to earn more money.
  13. 1) Run extension cords to your neighbors 2) Charge them 10.0 for elec 3)???? 4) Profit
  14. Yeah, I don’t believe him. @Wulaw Horn prove it!
  15. This is a shitty political take and needs to stay the fuck out of this thread. We generally struggle with a few from *bothsides* per page, but today seems to have been particularly bad. We’ve made it a year, how about everyone try to keep this thread from getting moved to CR because it will be beyond worthless there.
  16. @ONE YARD not bothering me. I enjoy seeing real world rehab. Better than the hgtv rehabs by far.
  17. You charge them to do that? If not you should.
  18. Gotta say I’m impressed and surprised with my kids. I figured they’d get tired/bored after 5 minutes and I’d finish it all. I’m paying them $5 and all the s’mores they can eat. May need to bump the cash payout.
  19. Check your local pawn shops. We got a 2300 psi electric ryobi for $100. Works great on driveway, house, and brick wall. Also found a 21 V dewalt electric framing nailer pulse charger and battery for $225. on the pressure washers - had anyone tried to remove flaking paint with 2300ish psi? I’m wondering if I need to rent something bigger to nock the paint off the exterior of a house before repainting. I’m mainly interested in getting the loose stuff
  20. I remember that but I just thought that was part of his crazy.
  21. Was golden man a statue in episode 1, or we just didn’t notice he was alive?
  22. Didn’t know that Wanda’s kids were in this. I’m betting vision shows up
  23. There hasn’t been enough positive in this thread, so I’ll start: lumber is back down to only about double what it was pre-pandemic. A little bit of sarcasm thrown in but it is a nice teen and I hope it continues so I don’t need to bring an armed guard to HD to get lumber for framing. To get back on track though, from one of our suppliers this morning: I want to provide you an update on the impact of the Sulfur market. For 2Q22, the Green Market Sulfur index has settled. The index is now $481/LT, up $199 from the 1Q22 index of $282/LT. It’s a big move for sure. The only other time the price has been at this level was in 2008 when it hit $617 before falling to -0- a few months later at the start of the 2009 recession.
