  1. So y’all are doing football practice? 😀. Hated the sled as a freshman. Came to enjoy seeing how far we could push it in our given time as we got heavier and stronger. Over half way through no alcohol January. The urge I had to go buy a case of Coors Light when I saw someone bringing a case to a picnic at the park this weekend makes me feel like I might need to spend some time in the alcoholics thread.
  2. If you can’t trust investment advice from a madman stranger on the internet, who can you trust? I know shit about silver/gold. So why doesn’t it go up with inflation? Or is it specific to our current Covid upset? Would you expect to see it grow if everything comes crashing back down, or is it just a “safe” place to convert your money when because it won’t move much when things crash? Or should it crash hard too?
  3. About to get tested. In same boat that I would normally chalk this up to allergies, but that’s how about 50% of the cases at work started.
  4. What in the fuck? Where do you live and why are you still there? Antarctica? 60 below doesn’t even compute in my brain. Do you leave your house when it gets that cold?
  5. That may be the point, but I thought there was a question of how many he would have saved, and the strikes had already been stopped.
  6. This is the best thing about omicron. I haven’t caught any version yet, and I can handle fever and respiratory shit for a few days, but I’m not sure life is worth living if you can’t taste your food.
  7. Was eating 275-350g of protein a day in college my first year when I only weight 165. Eating a dozen boiled eggs on the FW bus as my second meal at 7A. My roommates hated me. Right now I’m not exercising much other than walking and “beach body work out” (bench bis tris pull ups). Still getting over knee surgery. Without thinking, I squatted down yesterday and started pushing on something at work. Was thinking leg amputation might be less painful at that point.
  8. Strikes occurred before Holden had a chance to kill him. In fact, Holden had already figured out how to stop strikes at that point.
  9. Says who? Lots of people programs start that like that. It has worked for me in the past (lost 20-25 lbs right when child #2 and kept it off til March 2020).
  10. I thought it was known 2 years ago this was the last season?
  11. 1) I feel like I need to kickstart things a little. I’m not obese, but I treated myself like shit in 2021. 2) 1500 is my m-F goal. I let myself mostly eat what I want on weekends, but tracking calories actually helps me (or guilts me) in to making better decisions on the weekend. Anyway, I end up around 1750 avg if i shoot for 1500 during the week. I plan to bump to 1650 in February depending on how things went the first month, and I’ll (probably) slowly adjust up every 2-3 weeks until I feel like I’m where I want to be. I do have control issues. If I give myself too much margin I’ll just eat a whole ducking box of Oreos. Friday weigh in at 195.8. Making progress. Also somehow managed 2 weeks with no booze.
  12. There was zero point to the zombie kid story line. It was a waste of the first 3-6 minutes of the show all season. I am surprised they wrapped up the human side if it and thought they did a good job.
  13. I’d say most on this site weren’t the primary audience for Black Widow. I wonder how it would have done in theaters with no Covid. My daughter loves the movie and is torn between BW and Hawkeye-Kate as here favorite now.
  14. I was entertained. Hate that they killed off the Gilgamesh. I liked the actor/character combination.
  15. Still not seeing this wrap up in 40ish minutes Friday.
  16. Prices are up, but I think he’s cherry picking dates dates for clicks. 1/12 last year lumber was 800, and then it dipped for a very brief time. He’s probably using the bottom of that dip for his “omg1 91% increase”. It’s 1200 today. It was also 1800 mid May but he’s not writing about how we’re 33% lower than mid last year. Yes prices are up, but he needs to be slapped.
  17. Here, there is an impact but it is temporary. 3 months means your pregnant They note that this group experienced an average 2.38 days increase in cycle length compared with unvaccinated individuals. By cycle six, the last of the recorded cycles, the researchers noted no significant differences in cycle length between the vaccinated and unvaccinated groups. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/covid-19-vaccines-linked-to-temporary-increase-in-menstrual-cycle-length#Natural-cycles
  18. Yeah I generally do my best to estimate it and log it In MyFitnessPal, and this was not a chain. I don’t know if I way overestimated the calories or what, but I just couldn’t take it anymore. Broke down and had some low sugar oatmeal, blueberries, raisins, and milk. Not terribly unhealthy at least, but blew right by my 1500 cal/day goal. Have to start over again tomorrow and do better.
  19. I don’t know about a 3 month delay, but my wife says it fucks with hers and it is a known side effect for some women. She’s not looking forward to her booster this week
  20. Witches. Of . Dathomir! Fuck yes! Speeder animation looked at little off
