  1. Thank you, sir. Had to send it away for a week to get wrapped so having withdrawals. But, should have it back this week and can finish breaking it in so I can finally step on it.
  2. You need to go talk to McCroskey.
  3. This comment leads me to believe you know actually nothing about racing. We are now all dumber for reading your post and I award you a 0.0. Please read here, and a lot of other places, and learn before “contributing.”
  4. I am a pretty big Hamilton fan and one of my best friends, who I race with, hates him and is a huge Verstappen fan. That said, I would have been fine if this was a straight up win by Max and even my good friend said, Hamilton got fucked, he won this race. I don’t think this is how any real fan wanted this season to end. I think FIA, due to DTS, tried to make this ending more dramatic intentionally. It actually tainted my view of F1.
  5. If you are ever in the Houston area, find a Kelley’s Country Cooking. Their CFS is killer.
  6. Train wreck is a solid word, imo. After watching that sans ankle biter, I go with fuck F1. It feels like they did that restart to create excitement and it’s probably DTS’s fault (that may be the worst thing that happened to this sport). But, as far as the pass, that seemed pretty legit. Hamilton seemed to leave the door not just open, but wide open. Max took advantage and was far enough ahead to claim the corner. I’m not a conspiracy theorist but that entire chain of events (restart snd wide open door) is really suspect and a bit of a turn off.
  7. Rewatching now starting before the last yellow flag. But, after the incident where Max parked on top of Hamilton, I read the rules pretty closely. They are very particular on who is doing the passing, whether they are on the outside or inside and how far up they are at corner entry and apex. Not saying if Hamilton had turned in (from what I recall he started then bailed) and made contact it wouldn’t be Max’s fault. But, if they were both out of the race, Max would have won anyway.
  8. I haven’t read all he replies yet but from the first time I watched it (while being distracted by an ankle biter), it looked like Lewis left the door open which allowed Max to late brake and push him out (which is also predictable for Max’s style). If he would have driven a more defensive line, this wouldn’t have happened there (it still may have later in the lap). This is from someone not a fan of Max and a fan of Hamilton.
  9. Completely different than the 991 so far. The 991 is loud (it does have an exhaust), it’s bumpy, it rattles, makes noises, shifts kinda hard. Basically, it feels like a race car. I might feel differently when I get the 992 on the track but so far, everything about it is much more refined. Its almost too nice (I may feel differently after the newness wears off). It’s not that loud (I will fix this), it shifts smoothly, it’s not that bumpy…it basically feels like a Carrera S with more power and better grip. Even though it’s bigger than the 991, it doesn’t feel it but it does feel lighter. It’s still in the break in period so I can’t step on it yet but you can feel a huge difference in grip and responsiveness and bite of the front end. I have a feeling the understeer issue of the 991 is now fixed. As far as the fit and finish, it is much, much nicer than the 991. It has all the technology, looks and feel of a luxury car. Then again, my 991 is pretty “base” and this one has just about every option you can put on one. For my build, I wouldn’t change a thing. The black metallic almost has a deep blue hue to it and looks awesome, IMO. It sitting next to my wife’s (no pics) jet black 991 looks completely different. Interior with the lights, stitching, etc is perfect for my tastes. The seats have good road feel but are still comfortable. The steering wheel moves a little too easy but you can still really feel the car grip. All that said, I love it so far but, unfortunately, manufacturers seem to be forced to move further and further from raw sport cars in order to remain competitive. This is another step in that direction and a much bigger step than from the 997 to 991. That being the case, the 991 and all it’s obnoxiousness isn’t going anywhere (even though it looks very dated next to the 992). For now, I guess you could say the 991 is the stripper/porn star you want to bang for the weekend and the 992 is the one you want to marry but I reserve the right to change my mind after taking it on the track. I have a feeling she is a lady on the streets and a freak in the sheets.
  10. Hah. It couldn’t go over 20mph at that point and was just going to the dealership from the truck. She’s home now. Will try to post more pics tonight but here she is.
  11. It’s Christmas Day a little early. Will update with more pics later.
  12. They run between 310-410/ft. Sweet idea I just think they could turn hugely south if this track goes the route of TWS.
  13. Checking in here. Been playing golf for 30 years (much, much more frequently recently) and finally got my first ace. I’m a 13.5 mainly due to me sucking at driving but on this particular hole, hit an 8 iron 159 with wind hurting and left to right. Bounced once and trickled toward the hole and then disappeared. Apparently I threw my 8 iron about 80 ft after that during the celebration. Super cool and hope everyone gets to experience that feeling.
  14. If you ain’t first, you’re last. Lewis is definitely great in the rain. Verstappen is just better.
  15. No need. Rain is the great equalizer. That being said, as much as I don’t like him or his style, IMO Verstappen is the best driver on grid followed by Hamilton and then probably Russel, Perez and a few others. But, if you stuck Hamilton and verstappen in the same car, I feel Verstappen would win 8 times out of 10.
  16. Definitely not. That said, it's hard to beat the 993 and they should treat the 996 like the fat girl you took home out of desperation and never talk about it again.
  17. Checking in. Had the first one of the season and introduced them to little man too. Then used his left overs to catch 3 catfish in the neighborhood pond.
  18. Maybe not trivial, but, good people. Left hula hut and put my phone on the roof of the car while putting little man in and of course I left it there and drove off. Realize about halfway home i forgot it. Got home, got my iPad for the find your iPhone app. Chased the little dot all around west lake, through zilker then down Congress to South Austin all the while thinking “why hasn’t this guy stopped, why am I going all over the place, certainly this person knows phones are track-able”. Finally, we stop at a house and I have no idea what to expect. But, a really nice cyclist walks up to the car asking if the phone was mine. They could have easily grabbed the cash (it’s a wallet/phone), kept the wallet and tossed the phone. People don’t always suck.
  19. I'm out here too and think the residents are already making complaints and I am sure someone will threaten "nuisance" or something. Also heard of some kind of endangered animal living out there. Either way, I hope it doesn't happen. I don't want to go in my backyard and hear random ass fans/concerts and there are enough golf courses out here already with driving ranges. no need for another. I have the olds.
  20. Mine has been on "start production" for awhile now. Timeline says 53 days now. We will see.
  21. Just now watching the race after getting back. My initial thought, Danica needs to use her mouth for something besides talking about racing.
  22. What’s the consensus on the best spot for aftermarket accessories. Just picked up 4 seater can am commander and want to add some things to it.
  23. Wow, that is super dick-ish. I wouldn’t go near them either. I check on my car’s progress everyday and it went from 30 days left to 60 one day with no real explanation why. I am sure it’s a chip or shipping or whatever. It was supposed to be here the Friday after thanksgiving. Now the week before Christmas.
  24. Couple thoughts. First, holy shit that was the most packed I have ever seen this place on qualifying day and second, it is a terrible, no good, very bad idea to take a 2 year old to F1.
