  1. Just sharing some excitement in this messed up world. Today is the day the ordering of the 992 GT3 opened up. This bad boy is now ordered and should be here by the end of the year. Manual box (cause fun) and no PCCB's (cause they suck to replace), bucket seats (cause harness) and shark blue sticking with carbon on the interior. Feels like Christmas morning.
  2. While I have no experience on the matter, I don't like fucking sheep so I don't go over there. But, I certainly understand your point.
  3. This officer should be so fucked. If he's not, I am definitely worried about the aftermath toward our police force and justice system.
  4. Even if everyone gets 1M per massage and he gets 40%, that’s a drop in the bucket to him. If anything, my guess is it’s about his political aspirations.
  5. Nah, they already self inflicted that.
  6. Did you have TC on? They will definitely break loose. But, I do agree that they are engineering it out. 997 was definitely looser than the 991.
  7. Looks like 5 more were filed today. Buzbee, while some may think is a bit "out there" is no joke and is not someone I would want on the other side of the table. My guess is he gone.
  8. Just for context purposes, I had the vid last February and it knocked me on my ass for three weeks. Felt like a combo of cedar fever and the flu at the same time. I got the first shot of the Pfizer vaccine Monday morning and no issues that day. Tuesday woke up with a sore arm thinking "no big deal". Tuesday by 10:00 am I felt just like I did last February. Wednesday, same. Today, woke up feeling normal and deteriorated a bit throughout the day so far but nothing unmanageable. They say if you had the vid the first shot sucks and the second is ok. I hope they are right.
  9. For the person not great at this stuff, what do you use for clover on zoysia?
  10. They had a weird deal at Spanish yesterday where they put the cup in the hardest possible spot on the green. It was like putt putt and I seven putted one hole. Best score of the day was an 85 which is actually pretty impressive considering where the cups were.
  11. Drove a Taycan Turbo for the first time at COTA today. I have never been a fan of electric (but really no experience with it either) and, holy crap, they are fast when you put your foot down. I’m used to stepping on a car, it drops a gear sometimes, then goes. This instantly threw you back in your seat and was gone. Handling was just “ok”. Lots of body roll but you could still get the rear end around and settled. Not bad for a sedan. Power wise, it would destroy my Panamera GTS. Handling wise, GTS is much better. Still very impressed though.
  12. @Seneca Tinsley Looking through your posts, you don't seem like an axe murderer so I can get you on Spanish Oaks if I am available when you are. Unless you are a 10 handicap or under, bring at least a dozen balls, lol.
  13. As long as lakecliff has it bunkers redone by then, it’s worth a visit. So is wolf dancer but it’s a bit of a hike.
  14. Just a hunch but I imagine they don’t post the amateur stuff in order to reduce the lines and waivers needed before entering the track. There is usually only one person at the gate and everyone has to go through him/her, sign and get a wrist band.
  15. In case anyone is bored, there is the second day of the PCA race tomorrow at COTA. Likely going to be in the rain so should be interesting. Anything from Cups (usually, I haven't checked the line-up) to 944's. The bridge on the infield by Turn 12 -15 is a pretty good spot to watch and a short walk from the car. Spectators are welcome and free.
  16. Driving down 620 for the first time in awhile: Me: I feel like this light is relatively new, I don't remember it here last time I was on this part of the road. Her: No, it's been here awhile. Her: People have been having wrecks here all the time since they aren't used to the light being here. Me: So, it's relatively new? Her: Yes Me: Crickets because you realize after 21 years of marriage, some things just aren't worth it.
  17. Taking the little man to see his cousins (no pics) tomorrow. Haven't been there in awhile so besides my normal "go to" of Viteks (I will forever be in love with the gut pack), what would you all recommend? BBQ is always welcome. Edit, the Guess and Helberg looks pretty good...is that the spot?
  18. Thought this was interesting. I am ok with my brisket but certainly wouldn't put it in Franklin's territory. This addition seems to make some sense. What do you aficionados think?
  19. Actually agreed. My expectations were a bit different.
  20. And, she’s out. I was thinking black or blue but may order exactly the way this one sits except in a manual: https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a35502295/2022-porsche-911-gt3-revealed/
  21. I kinda feel like in Austin/Houston, it’s pretty close to a necessity.
  22. I would assume insurance covers this shit? Any personal lines people here? This could get ugly.
  23. Apparently the pool “freeze mode” just circulated pool water back to the pool and didn’t involve the hot tub and it’s overflow. Consequently, the hot tub is now frozen. Anything I should do or just wait until everything thaws out?
  24. This might belong in the Holy Shit thread cause...Holy Shit!
  25. Does she own a cleaning business by chance?
