  1. Before that was created, me and the dude in the yellow 2004 SAN I think you were taking about earlier killed my boat (2000 SAN) in all the ways imaginable. We mainly did upper San jac at that time and then clear creek. I can’t count the props and shafts I bent, ripped a rudder clean off one time and then managed to suck something up and blow a motor. Houston rivers/creeks were awesome.!
  2. On the streets 150-160 in several cars. Dumbest thing ever was I did a cannonball run from 59 and beltway to Pearland parkway with another GT3 on a Saturday morning and we were above 150 most of the time. As dumb as that was, it would have been awesome to be in a car in the right lane as we flashed by with engines roaring. On the track, 181 back straight of COTA in a F8. I definitely don’t condone that kind of behavior on the streets. It’s dumb

    Colonoscopy

Wait until your ass turns into a pressurized firehose for the 5th time and you will see why it’s in the Lulz forum.
  4. I’ve never had an Omega but during my 30’s I had to have a big gangster Breatling Bentley. It’s the only watch I’ve ever owned that I had to send back in for repairs (not maintenance) several times. Will never buy one again and I never wear it. Not sure why I still let it take up space in the spinner rather than just dumping it because it’s not going to appreciate.
  5. What is the mpg before I screwed it up? I just got about 15 something hanging mainly in the 80’s from Austin to Houston.
  6. Didn’t dig too much into it. That was just the initial plan and make kind of a GMC RaptorR out of a Denali or AT4-X but then I learned there was a diesel available and wanted that route instead. Then figured it was dumb to lift a Denali Ultimate but dumber to lift the AT4 or AT4X and I liked the Ultimate’s interior so here she be. Maybe the 6.2 next time if everything isn’t electric or hybrid by then.
  7. Don’t think I posted the actual truck when it got here but, somewhat surprisingly, I love this thing. I’ve actually jumped in it on nice days I normally would have taken a “fun car”. All the little features (cameras everywhere, tailgate, supercruise is great and still works, smart enough to automatically heat seats/stearing wheel, etc) make it super convenient. I’m sure the lift screwed up the ride but it still rides great. I wasn’t blown away with the stereo so ripped the stock stereo out, threw in some speakers, couple of 12’s and couple of amps (yes, I am a child) and that fixed it…side note, Custom Sounds on south Lamar sucks imo so had to have someone else fix it. Still second guessing if I should have done the 6.2 and supercharged it instead of the baby diesel but really like the diesel. kinda thought no matter how much HP it has, it’s still gonna be slow. Enough rambling, just want to pass on if you want a 1/2 ton, the Denali is awesome and the Ultimate’s interior is pretty much in Escalade territory.
  8. Yes. Love that one too. I never wear the panda any more so considering trading it in on something similar. Well, it plus a couple fun coupons.
  9. We have all of the cedar fever over here. The wife’s (no pics), turned into an upper respiratory infection. Mine (you don’t want pics) turned into pink eye (cedar or the 4 y/o, not sure). So, cooking instead of golf for me. Last nights and tonight’s dinner (the radishes in the beef stew were a last minute bad idea from our garden).
  10. Got this about 6 months ago intended as a “wear on nice days” kinda watch. i like it so much I pretty much only wear this one or an Apple Watch nowadays.
  11. Saving while you have breakfast or lunch is ok. But, those fuckers that walk down there at 5 in the morning to put a towel or book down and then go back to their room until late morning or early afternoon can fuck off. One of many reasons I don’t do resort pools either.
  12. Haven’t seen that. Pretty cool. All in this wasn’t that bad. It was $900 including all the electronics and a set of aluminum wheels. I think back in the 80’s it would have been about 600 or 700.
  13. This is where my love of cars started when I was about 10 or 11. Found some dude willing to sell this one for some shelf art for my office. Super excited.
  14. 100%. A good buddy owns mechanic shops for high end cars. Little man is absolutely sweeping those floors starting around 13.
  15. Pretty broad question. But, what’s a good way to learn how to fish lake LBJ. my best guess is hire a guide a few times and take it from there but anyone know of other resources/forums/websites? Some background, I grew up fishing Galveston bay so familiar with fishing. Buy, have never fished fresh water so I don’t know the first thing about it.
  16. Worked construction on the weekends and summers in high school and freshman year of college in Houston mainly doing renovations. there are three days that still stick out. first is I spent an entire day hand scraping glue off a kitchen floor. second was at the San Luis in Galveston. We had molding that wouldn’t fit in the elevator. So I spent the day going up and down a spiral staircase while holding the molding in the center of the spiral staircase. last was an entire day digging a trench in a backyard in the summer. Good part is that shit made college much more appealing. Fun fact, the guy I worked for doing construction, who is now a really good friend of mine, is renovating my house.

    Getting old sucks

Had my first colonoscopy (and first time under any form of anesthesia) yesterday. This getting old stuff sucks. Good news is I did some blood test for it a couple months ago and failed it so was super freaked out. Turns out I don’t have the cancer but there were a couple polyps they removed and I get to do it all again next year. Yea! Turns out everyone is right though, I am full of shit. Morning before I weighed 205, day of 195.
  18. Nitto recon grappler 35/12.50/22. Drove one here with this exact set up and liked it. They did have to shave the liner and front a bit but I am ok with that.
  19. They put the wrong size tires and wheels on it so they are re-ordering but here she is. Will be on the truck to Austin Tuesday
  20. Hah. Definitely won’t be doing that. Original plan was to supercharge the 6.2 but I just want a diesel. I will program the diesel when I figure out which one is best. I really wish I didn’t like cars as much as I do. But, there are worse things…wait, I like the worse things too. Shit.
  21. Duh, but got them in brass.
  22. Kid is getting older and keep needing a truck so went full on mid-life crisis stupid and bought a new Denali Ultimate 1500 diesel. Did the 1500 for ride quality and diesel just because I like it. The most it will ever tow is a 24’ boat about 5 miles. It’s getting a 6” lift now and a bed cover just to complete my display of immaturity and stupidity (insert penis size jokes) Serious question, anything else it should have while it is in the shop? I don’t really want to replace the bumpers or have a light bar on top of it and don’t want to void the warranty.
  23. I think I’m out. I know me and I already know how this is gonna unfold and don’t feel like messing with that right now. If the right one came along that was in excellent shape and low miles, i’d still jump on that.
  24. You are about as helpful as anyone I know. Lol.
  25. Called/FaceTimed the seller today. They seemed pretty open and honest. The driver front quarter does appear to have had some work so the whole car will need re-sprayed. The interior and the rest of the body, including the frame, looked great. Spectacular for the miles. Took a video of start up and sounded normal. Getting an idea of what re-spraying it will cost and will take it from there. thanks for the input so far.
