  1. First, I had to look up pareidolia, asshole. Second, listened to it again trying to hear nakers and can totally see how that can be heard too. Therefore, in unsurly-ish behavior, I retract my previous position.
  2. We really going to fire people over a pretty obvious--though regrettable--tongue tie? Wait, I already know the answer to that. I listened to it several times and, at least to me, sounded like the other word pretty clearly which isn’t really a tongue tie with lakers. If it were nakers, total other story. disclaimer - my ears are ringing like a mofo from the ridiculous allergies.
  3. What a fucking jackass. Saying “bakers” instead of Lakers”. Ok. But in what mind should that word be correlated to anything. Much less “lakers”. Hope she enjoys permanent unemployment.
  4. For anyone interested, there is a PCA club race combined with a DE on 2/28 - 3/1. Lots of cool cars at the DE combined with a bunch of crazy amateurs at the club race.
  5. As a huge Porsche fan, I was thinking the same thing. Also, under-impressed with the new vette. I expected more with the mid engine
  6. We always have steak and lobster Christmas Eve. Then, Christmas morning I wake the house up blaring Christmas music (always starts with Josh Groban’s drummer boy). Then, onto presents and make omelettes with the leftover steak, lobster and mushrooms. This is the first year with a little one so had to contain my blaring of the music and manage feedings and diaper changes in between the above.
  7. Cause you nutted in your eye right before you got in the shower?
  8. Don’t bring facts into this. We are talking about Facebook for crying out loud.
  9. Uh, I don't think those are gonna fit on that truck in its current state.
  10. Open to all the prayers, good thoughts and positive vibes. Heading to the hospital at 4:45 tomorrow morning for the birth of our first born (it's a boy via a scheduled C-section). I don't think I have ever been so anxious/nervous in my life. Looking forward to contributing/learning from this thread shortly.
  11. I did that deal too on a bachelor party. If you were shopping for super cars, that would be a good way to test drive them. Edge addicts will be there in three weeks and I think MVP is running in February. Porsche has a Schnell fest combined with a race usually in March or April. Hit me up if you choose to do any of them and will help you with the addiction. Just as another warning, DE’s are the nicotine version and where most people start the drug.
  12. Awesome. What track did you run? And, be careful, it’s a drug that sinks it’s teeth in fast.
  13. So, what would that mean for the current Mercedes drivers?
  14. Hah, was actually serious. CSB time but having my first kid in less than a week and thought to myself, what if there was a sleeping kid in one of those cars. That kind of shit never crossed my mind before.
  15. Mine has sharkwerks exhaust and stretched its legs today and actually felt bad for the people I flew by at the stoplight on the oncoming traffic side, Had to be a bit startling. Need to be cautious about about when/where that happens. no humble brag.
  16. Again, not saying they are ideal. Just not the end of the world. Just something you have to manage along with the 100's of other things. But, in fairness, I haven't ran it in the last 6ish months so possibly it deteriorated more than I am aware. I will be there twice in the next month and will check back and eat my words if it's terrible . For the record, pretty sure I only said Vettel was whining (I didn't re-read though the thread). But, then again, I can't stand Vettel. From what I can tell from events that are scheduled there, at the most it will be closed from late December to Mid February unless they start cancelling things.
  17. Read his answer to the Vettel/Hamilton caution incident a couple years ago.
  18. I’m not saying it doesn’t have bumps. What I am saying is I think you are missing the point. When racing, you manage a ton of things. Bumps, wind, under/over steer, temperature, traffic blah, blah, blah. He failed to manage those variables as well as the other drivers and whined about it. Like he always does. From what I call, when he broke his suspension he was way outside in a known dangerous place. He shouldn’t have been there if he properly managed his race. did you happen to read Riccardos take on the track?
  19. And, no surprise Vettel is whining.
  20. I know we disagree on this. But, if he would have managed the bumps, like the hundreds of other things you have to manage in a race, like everyone else, he wouldn’t have broken his suspension.
  21. Yeah. And you can walk around the pits/garages and check out the cars. if you go, download the app race hero or race monitor and you can watch the current standings by class. A good spot is parking up top and watching from the bridge by 17. They don’t kick you out of there at these races.
  22. If anyone is interested, there is a WRL race the weekend of 11/22 at COTA. Should be some good racing by amateurs/semi pros.
  23. 100%. I really don’t understand this but it seems like they speed up when the passing zone/lane starts.
  24. interesting, didn’t realize that. I just peeked at the 992 the other day and didn’t notice the size difference. But, there we’re only 991’s near it. Was not a huge fan of its steering wheel and “shifter”. But, thought the rest looked pretty solid. thay said, loved the 997’s but the difference between it and the 991’s are night and day. Expecting to see the same thing between the 991’s and 992’s.
  25. Faster than they ever have which is proving the bumps aren’t a big deal. They do have wider tires now though and I don’t recall the temperature last year but I bet it was warmer which would hurt the times. But, in reality, yes, the track has bumps. Almost all of them do. You deal with it.
