  1. In fairness, I haven't driven the new Cayenne yet. I am comparing the 19 Panamera GTS to a 2014 Cayenne GTS. In those two, the Panamera destroys the Cayenne in every category. Just considering the years, that's not a huge surprise. For as big as the Panamera is, it feels like a heavy 911 which blew me away. To appease the wife, we are going to take the baby stuff to the dealership and see how it fits. But, they have the perfect Cayenne there so likely going that route. Thanks for the input and will update this thread when we pull the trigger.
  2. Thanks for the input. I love the Panamera but think y'all talked me out of it. Will probably stick with another Cayenne. I don't see me getting her in a bigger SUV than that. If anyone is interested in a 14 Cayenne GTS, Black/Beige, excellent condition, just serviced and had curb rash removed (again, wife's car), 72k miles, let me know and we can do an in and out at Porsche Austin. It does have USB's.
  3. Those are solid considerations. I thought it had enough room in back but really don't have a clue. My plan was to bring some of it and try to stick it in there before we pulled the trigger. Thanks for the input, will certainly add those thoughts to the consideration. btw, I am assuming you are the same goofyboy from wb.com. it's htownbdr, Thutch's buddy. Hope you are awesome.
  4. Enlighten me. Seriously. This (baby-ville) is unchartered territory for me. First option was a new Cayenne then I got a Panamera as a loaner and it drove much better than a Cayenne. Seems safe and large enough but still fun for baby-mama if baby is not in the car.
  5. I have just seen the build sheet but from that it appears the seats are which is what is worrying me. I guess you could get weathertech covers which would work.
  6. That's kind of what I am thinking. The dealer is saying you can put a ceramic coat on the Alcantara that protects it. That's just hard to imagine with what a baby is capable of doing.
  7. Looks like it's time to have a baby. So, baby mama (no pics) needs a new baby hauler. One of the more likely options is a Panamera but it has Alcantara. I have had that in a GT3 and definitely would show wear so it scares me with a little messy one (it's a boy). Is this the worst idea ever or just really stupid.
  8. I find this so ironic. Why is a 356 (which I love very much), which is a lesser car in every category than a VW bug, worth the same/more than a car that is basically a 2019 GT3? That was rhetorical, the answer is the same reason gold and diamonds have value which is the same reason the speedster is going for the current rate.
  9. 2nd for Escalates on Westheimer. Get the margherita and table side guacamole too.
  10. Can you send me the contact for that deal? I think it would be perfect for the down payment on a new car or boat. - Cause 'Merica
  11. This is where it's at. Yes, Max late braked into the corner. But, when he did it put him wheel to wheel with Sainz and Sainz certainly closed the door. So, likely fault on both parties which is probably why the Stewards called it a racing incident. FWIW, I am not a Max fan at all. I was when he first started but would have expected him to grow up by now.
  12. Username checks out. But, wtf is up with the videographer. they would have done just as good of a job pointing the camera straight at the ground.
  13. That's impressive. On street mine may last 20k -25k miles (pads not rotors). When I used to do DE's, they would last 2-4 weekends depending on the track..But, that's pulling them at 50%. Never would have thought they could bake it to 70k + miles. I definitely would not classify myself as an easy braker. I like to think smooth...but, definitely not easy.
  14. Totally your call but I have always been told and abide by you replace the pads on pccb’s at 50% in order to protect the rotors. Pretty easy diy on the 997’s. Despite that, still amazed you got 68k miles out of them.
  15. Not sure if already posted. But, foreign call centers for service. I mean, almost immediately surly. f you AT&T/Directv.
  16. If anyone is interested, there is a PCA race and DE at COTA this weekend. Practice today, qualifying and race tomorrow, race Sunday. Anything from 944's to Cup cars will be racing and no telling what will show up for the DE.
  17. This...I didn't get to watch much of it but saw the last 15ish laps and was blown away at how wide they were going. Easy and beneficial to do there but c'mon.
  18. I am pretty sure I would have the secks with this car.
  19. How many freaking Porsche nuts do we have on here? Holy cow, it's like 6speed. NRG works pretty well if you uber.
  20. Fatal Charms. Ahh, the memories. That room has seen a lot. And, not coke from me.
  21. Ask for an upgrade when you check in. Every time we have done this they bump us up to one of the magnificent 7 rooms.
  22. Why hasn't she made him a damned sandwich? It's 10:20 in the morning. She is still cleaning up from breakfast.
  23. On another note, I have never followed Tesla's either. But, on the way to the office this morning it looked like a model s was trying to play. Didn't take the bait because it was a tesla. Looked it up because it seemed quick and appears the P100D does 0-60 in 2.5...Holy Shit!. I think I would have got him back around 100 but still....pretty impressive.
  24. Wow, not a huge ferrari fan but just looked it up and, yup, looks like a slightly better looking vette. I doubt it has the overheating and blow up issues though.
