  1. Really impressed by the amount of people I see in the background watching golf with a beer in their hand without a cell phone.
  2. I talked to a few that were and went ahead and pulled the trigger. If it doesn’t work out, I have a line on a replacement in about 6 months so will dump it then. But, in the meantime, I needed a baby hauler and nothing else jumped out at me. I have driven it 30 whole miles with no problems, fingers crossed, lol.
  3. In fairness, it’s been two separate races for a long time. But, I certainly see your point. Good luck passing Alonso at Monaco.
  4. The sport or the full size? Also, if you don’t mind me asking, what was the issue.
  5. What do we know about Range Rovers? I haven’t had one in 15 years and the last one was a major piece of shit that spent half of its time in the shop and told myself I would never buy another one. I now find myself interested in a 22 HSE P525 Westminster with 2,900 miles as a daily driver. I have heard since the new company took over they are much more reliable. Dealer dropped it of today for me to drive and think about it and I am really impressed. Is this new car fever or did they manage to turn this brand around.
  6. Sorry ahead of time for the long post. But, I think you all can help and wanted to give you the details and I appreciate any thoughts and recommendations. My sister, who is 53 and has been a problem child since about 13, has been messing with drugs and alcohol pretty heavy since 30 and is in a little more than a bit of trouble. Married three times. Two kids with the first husband (that started at 17 due to a pregnancy). Third child was with the second husband. Around 30 she got divorced from number 2 and went off the rails. Long story short, a lot of in and out of our lives due to starting drugs again, running out of resources and coming back for my family to clean everything up and get her back on track. She gets there and the same routine starts over and usually in a short period of time. I can’t count how many times this has happened. After enough of this, two kids went to live with their dad (2nd husband had adopted them by now and the oldest was out of the house) in a completely different state. More than a few more repetitions of the cycle and she gets clean with a lot of encouragement/support from my parents. Does really well for herself for a few years. She was very successful at what she was doing despite us having to buy her high school diploma. Tried to re-connect with her kids, etc. But, again, attracted the wrong people and started down the same road once she got on her feet. She developed some form of paranoia that people were coming to get her, stealing from her and tracking her every move. Ended up throwing away a very lucrative business. Rehab again. Comes out, goes to a halfway house for about a year, comes out and tries to get her life back on track again. Same cycle started over. The lack of use of drugs and alcohol put on weight (she is very vain) so that started some form of speed which led to other things, etc. This turned into a call a couple months ago from my dad saying she was recently placed in ICU for an overdose, left AMA, he found her, put her in a detox, she left there too and didn’t know where she was. About a week later she ended up in another 60 day rehab. She got out of there about a week ago and then gets in a car wreck while drunk (apparently she also takes 5 bottles a day of some weird herb that comes from some tree bark that I don’t know what it is). So, now we are at today. My dad asked if we should do an intervention. I don’t think anyone in my family, including her kids, are interested. I also think it wouldn’t help, we have done this before, and if what she has gone through hasn’t woke her up, nothing will. I am also under the impression you can’t fix someone unless they want to be fixed. My concern is that while she has a ton of people trying to collect from her from past bad decisions, now she has an actual real deadline for court that will result in her having to show up or face jail (which I think might actually help). I truly believe that she will now feel she won’t be able to come back from this family damage, financial obligations, legal issues and we aren’t far from my next call from my Dad that she is gone. All that said and dumped on you, is there anything me or my dad can do?
  7. Checked it out today for the first time and did not disappoint.
  8. A little late but this person lives in my neighborhood and has a cool idea. They take a picture of your child’s fingerprint and turn it into jewelry. https://www.lovetalla.com
  9. It’s worth visiting. Also, for the Granbury/Ft. Worth people. What’s that stand/trailer in Cresson right outside the track? It’s killer too.
  10. This is probably the dissenting post due to the media and that’s ok. But, he’’s actually a pretty cool guy in real life. I can forgive the tempers while in competition. IRL, I think I am a pretty laid back likable guy. You stick me in a race car with the competitive juices flowing and it’s Jekyll and Hyde.
  11. I’m pretty certain he is NowThis reincarnated.
  12. Wow, you seem like a lot of fun at parties. I haven’t ever negged anyone on this board but did your driving position posts because of your lack of social awareness. For example, if you are driving 71 in the left lane passing someone in the right lane doing 70 and you see some person in your rear view catching up quickly, try paying some attention and make your pass quicker and get over. From those negs, you decided to go neg a ton of my posts completely unrelated to this. Talk about trivial things that make you surly.
  13. That Playboy Bunny will depreciate with time. The watch will appreciate.
  14. Ahh, not there but not a bad idea for next time.
  15. Didn't forget. Don't neg the hell out of me but I hate raw onions more than a butch lesbian hates sucking dick. I normally would use sharp cheddar too but took a gamble on the velveeta and it was awesome. Dub question amnesty, what is a hinge? If that's the bottom part of the bun, it's still there. Just hidden by deliciousness.
  16. Wife (no pics) has been sick all weekend so that left me with the 2 year old. So, I felt I deserved a fat kid dinner. Boiled hot dogs, homemade chili, mustard, steamed buns, velveeta shredded cheese and baby japs. Not quite james Coney Island but close. (Unfortunately, we don’t do paper plates in this household).
  17. Not sure that could have been more perfectly set up.
  18. I assume there is not an exact date for the Vegas race yet, right? So, why/how are people already getting reservations?
  19. Damn. And, he going to pound you in the ass prison.
  20. That was a well thought out, logical, coherent, calm statement. You don’t belong here, sir.
  21. Agreed. I was more just commenting on racing/being silly on the street with a bunch of crazy soccer moms out there that while you are doing 120 in the left lane, they put on lipstick and accidentally swerve over. De-badging would probably be the cleaner route since it is more in line with a sleeper than re-badging which is just false advertising. And, don’t get me started on people that put M or AMG badges on non M/AMG cars. For what it’s worth, I think it would be kind of funny to put “Carrera” on the GT3’s and then whoop GT3 RS’s, Vettes, etc on the track. They would get twisted quick.
  22. Be careful with those old ladies with lap dogs. They are the real sleepers. Lol i had a Urus try to pipe up the 992 the other day. I’m thinking, yes, you are fast. But. I know how to read motortrend and know how this plays out. What’s the purpose?
  23. No judging here. But, coming from someone who had the same problem, go to a track and have a blast. If you do that, it will get it out of your system and you will realize how silly it is to speed on the streets with a bunch of crazies and then none of the radar or de-badging would be necessary. I used to get a ticket every 6 months to a year and now haven’t had one in forever. That said, I have people try to race me all the time. I always decline because it takes no skill whatsoever to push your right foot down. Plus, we could all get beat by a no skilled dumbass driving a Tesla.
  24. Played wolf/hammer Tuesday. A good friend hits the green on a par 4 on the drive to about 20 ft (3 handicap) and hammers. Me and my partner stay on the hammer but are both in trouble (forced partners due to this particular game). At this point we are just trying to see if we are going to lose two or three times our money for a birdie or eagle. Partner gets up and down from the hazard (he’s a pro) so we get a 4. My friend that hit the green 3 putts for par. Dodged a bullet. Messed my friend up for the next few holes. /csb
