  1. I enjoyed it. I've always liked him while simultaneously being annoyed by him.
  2. Thanks for starting this thread. I am going to need it. My son is graduating next weekend from UT and headed to UTLA for the summer then starting grad school school out there in the fall, I also have to attend my nephews wedding at the end of the summer somewhere in that area so I'll be heading out there quite a bit starting soon. subscribed
  3. South Carolina would create some symmetry
  4. The owner of that joint's kid is one of my daughter's buddies. He was accepted to Mays a couple month ago. His parents treated him to a table dance for his 18th birthday (or it might have been in celebration of his acceptance, though his dad thinks he's wasting his time with college).
  5. She hasn’t changed her name on FB, for what that’s worth. But he’s still Daniel Joseph on his so… https://www.facebook.com/Daniel.Joseph120
  6. Upon doing a little internet sleuthing on Mrs. Figurelli, I see that she is facebook friends with my nephew. Will have to inquire about that further
  7. I get that. Sure, I don't have to go. My worst experience with this was being asked to be in a wedding, then about a month before they spring the no kids shit on me and my family. You want me to stand in your wedding but my 3 kids aren't welcome. Oh but who does that little shit carrying the flowers and that other little shit carrying a pillow with a ring on it belong to? And it's a daytime wedding and reception. I'm mostly annoyed by the painting this as "we are doing you a big favor by making you leave your kids at home" angle.
  8. I've always thought that weddings excluding children to be, at best, tone-deaf and out of touch and, at worst, selfish. I know it's your big day, but you are the one asking us to come to it, and maybe we don't feel like, or can't, be away from them for a day or two or some other circumstance that 2 single, childless, young adults can't imagine.
  9. Well, now that the cat is out of the bag, you're on notice Also, it doesn't have to be a sharpie.
  10. Smith's carefully crafted image took a hit that he won't easily recover from. "A lifetime to earn, seconds to ruin" Chris taking it on the cheek and handling it so well, in contrast, made it even worse for Smith
  11. I mean haven't we all been there...having to explain to a confused and disoriented child, now hiding in their closet, that you were helping mommy take her medicine or stretch out her cramping leg . naked
  12. I'll take a hard working and successful guy like him over a pseudo-intellectual snob like you. You seem like you suck. By the way, if you're going to mount up on that intellectual high horse, you might want to write better.
  13. My dad lost sight in his left eye participating in one of these as a youngster. He said he stood up to throw a firecracker and took a BB to the eye. It probably kept him out of Vietnam, so he had that going for him.
  14. Thought we were taking about a different Freshman
  15. turning heads Multiple unsolicited sources raving about Making a big impression
  16. In my observation over the years, men don't generally "cheat up" from their wives.
  17. This was about 25 years ago so he was in his mid 50's. I used to say there was no way any girls my age would put up with any of the shit he was managing to pull off. He would just respond that the years, age, divorces had a way of curing people of expectations.
  18. After my dad's second divorce he was juggling 3 or 4 different women. He would spend the weekend with one then Sunday evening part ways and spend a couple days with the next one and so on. One day I went with him and one of his girlfriends to the grocery store. I walked off to go find something, saw one of his other girlfriends down another isle (one who he had just spent the weekend with and dropped off a few hours prior) and went back to my dad to discreetly let him know Linda was 3 aisles over. He immediately announced we had enough groceries and it was time to check out. Which totally wasn't suspicious at all considering we were only about half way through the store but his companion didn't seem to suspect anything. He made it out unscathed. One of his girlfriends could see his driveway from her upstairs bathroom. They didn't live that close to each other but he lived on Padre Island and there just happened to be a clear view down the main canal and across several empty lots across the half mile or so to the front of dad's house. My dad noted she had a pair of binoculars in this upstairs bathroom. She obviously was aware of who and when his other pieces were at his house so most of the time he stayed at their houses. Dad finally ended all but one of these relationships. He told me that he couldn't handle the stress of juggling these ladies and it was causing his hair to fall out.
