  1. Okafor is serviceable as a guard. Not so much at tackle. Have to wonder what Hand thinks he sees...
  2. But we can all agree to keep the “mimic the emoji” thing, right? Right?
  3. As a person who owns a home there, this statement is complete ignorance.
  4. Sam did not have a great game, but he is not the reason we lost. Poor protection with 9 sacks. He had 4 dropped passes that would have been large gains. He made a couple of poor decisions, held the ball too long, and underthrew some deep shots. But his play is not in the top 5 for reasons we lost.
  5. I’m with you, Harvdog. I remember this one time when Scorpio said Ehlinger was going to transfer to aggy. He has never come back and owned up. Bitch had your verbal beatdown coming.
  6. Not only did we get 4 defensive linemen, we gained a carbon
  7. Look - I’m not saying Bryce won’t eventually pick Texas. He loves the program and coach Hand. He wants to play close enough for friends and family to see him, and he is not a social media diva. But they have blown a lay-up here by their attitude towards his throwing. Other schools now have his attention.
  8. Here is what I know (have been out of town for last month so have not talked to family in a while). Bryce has been UT fan for years - Mack Brown football camps, etc... Loves coach Hand. But has been unhappy with repeated attempts by UT coaches to push spring football over track. “You will miss a lot of football stuff if you continue throwing in college” kind of comments. Also - family a little unhappy that Herman still has not sat down with Bryce 1on 1. Contrast that to OU. Lincoln Riley has had more than one personal session with him - even presenting him with his future football and track schedule - down to daily detailed workout times. They are encouraging him to throw. It sounds like A&M (mom’s and brother’s alma maters) is working the same track-friendly angle. Foster is a nationally ranked discus/shot athlete. Possibly olympic level. Honestly, it sounds like the coaches are poisoning this recruitment by marginalizing his track interest. I go back to work Monday and will get more info.
  9. Point of post was the the little diva acorn doesn’t fall far from the big diva tree.
  10. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Texas schools need to quit sleeping on the kids and then expecting them to be loyal to them and stay home.<br>🤔👍🤐 <a href="https://t.co/pocdMSQHmp">https://t.co/pocdMSQHmp</a></p>&mdash; Tree McCutchin Sr. (@MccutchinSr) <a href="https://twitter.com/MccutchinSr/status/1138485065518919680?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">June 11, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> I suck at this
  11. Herman is not a salesman, he is a football coach and recruiter. He successfully recruited Bru to Texas with second effort, and the kid has been through Spring practice and a semester of school. At this point, either Bru wants to be here or he needs to move on. You can’t have this wishy-washy lack of commitment in the locker room. That is how you lose a team.
  12. Hey dipshit, find somewhere else to post recruiting info. This is the ShittyConcertsIAttended30YearsAgo thread
  13. The man barely works and makes $300k. Oscar Giles is my spirit animal.
  14. RIP Paden. Prayers sent. God Bless you and your family.
  15. Katy suspended me after the 1999 B12 championship game loss to Nebraska when I wrote “it’s Wednesday and the husker tight end is still running around wide open”. My less than civil response to the suspension led to a permaban. Fuck Katy in her fat goat ass.
  16. According to mom (who is an Ag), Bryce has been locked in to UT since he went to Mack Brown camp several years ago. It’s recruiting, so standard disclaimers apply, but he loves coach Hand and talks to him regularly. His brother walked on at A&M, but is not pushing him that way either. Mom is also good with UT as his choice. The kid is a man-child with great feet from his shot/discus training.
  17. If your theological opinions are as accurate as your football predictions, we better all drop to our knees and pray for forgiveness.
  18. There is method of self blood doping where the athlete trains at altitude (in a low oxygen environment). The red blood cells increase their concentration of 2,3 DPG that decreases hemoglobin affinity for oxygen. That shifts the oxyhemoglobin dissociation curve to the right, allowing more oxygen to be delivered during exercise or competition. The athlete can bag some of this blood and transfuse it before a competition at sea level.
  19. As both a physician and the father of a Div I athlete, I can’t disagree more. These are 18yo knuckleheads thrust into a very competitive environment. If steroids are the culture, most will participate or get left behind. And the medical downside for many will not be realized until years later. We are talking about the health of kids. Put me firmly in the “heavy testing, harsh penalty” crowd.
