I'm not as veteran as others on NO, but planning trip #4. I sill have a lot of spots on my list in the Quarter/CBD/Garden areas to hit, but looking for other areas to explore. Is the ferry ride to Algier's Point worth a lunch and a couple of afternoon drinks? I've only seen it mentioned a few times on this thread (will I see Sarah Conner there?). The area around the city park is another idea.
I guess Loro isn't too far off with "Far East meets Texas BBQ". There's certainly some German influence on central Texas BBQ. Wouldn't surprise me if Judge had it mind.
Great weekend in Fredericksburg. Lonestar Cabins was great even though we didn't use the kitchen. It was nice on the back porch in the mornings looking at some Barron Creek grapes and wildlife. Had an armadillo come and visit this morning too. Ate at Altstadt and Auslander for German fare, but NoName can be trusted with his recommendations...Woerner Cafe, Alla Campagna, and Prometheus were all excellent. A lonestar red in Luckenbach capped it all off nicely.
It's not just Germania club, but the whole arena. In 123, there's several regular groups around us and the rest of the time is always somebody different or empty. I was able to move up 2 rows just now and keep my aisle seats which was a surprise.
Never really hung out here other than a meal during a day trip to Enchanted Rock. Wife and I are going to do a long weekend at the end of this month. Staying at the cabins @Trey3216 recommended by Altstadt. I'll be reading all the recs from @NoName a few times and try to pick out 4 or 5!
