I’ll plug a restaurant - Parrilla Alfonsina - an Argentine steak place near the Tetuan metro stop. I assume the owners are the same (husband and wife, with other family members working there as well); they were awesome and accommodated our group of 8 people, which included 4 kids ranging from 8 to 14. Favorite empanadas on our trip. Everything was great. We were there during the terrorist attack when they drove down La Rambla so the mood of the city was not typical. Definitely want to go back. I liked Sagrada Familia way more than I expected. Park Guell was cool but crowded. Take the climb up above the park for good views of the city. Gothic Quarter is great to walk around. We took in a game at Camp Nou - I would do it if you’re remotely interested. Barca played Real Betis so the crowd was not what I was hoping for, but cool nonetheless.

So, who do you all bank with? Happy with them and feel good about stability given current environment?

Markets still falling like whoa
This is ominous. Hoping (as I’m sure you are) that something gets worked out in the next 36 hours.

Wow. Been following this thread as I watch but this episode drew my first post. Ellie and Joel choosing violence and reuniting at the end. Him holding her and calling her baby girl…. That’s what I sometimes call my daughter (similar age as Ramsey, not Ellie) so that hit hard. I had never even heard of this game so I don’t know anything about anything but this show is legit. Pascal and Ramsey are killing it.- Realignment talk not going away
Fixed that for you- There's always money in the banana stand
She’s really funny. Well let’s hope so- Chicano's not a color

Shall we add Staley now?- The Banshees of Inisherin
Yes. It took me a minute to figure out it was Octavia of the Julii- The Banshees of Inisherin
Keoghan was very good, but I thought Kerry Condon was fantastic in this. But, honestly, everyone was great here.- Top 3 cookie rankings
Yes!! I thought I was the only one. When I’m around when someone’s making them I’ll ask them to make one with literally one chocolate chip in it. They look at me like I’m crazy. sugar cookies (no frosting) are legit I hate white chocolate, but put it in a cookie with macadamia nuts and I’m down. Friend just made a chocolate cookie with peanut butter chips. I’m really liking these.- Black Adam
Watched on HBO last night. If you’ve got low expectations and have a couple of hours to kill, go for it. A lot of annoying characters. And over-powered supes. I have zero comic book background, but isn’t this basically Shazam?- Modern Masterpieces in Motion Pictures (2002-2020)
As previously mentioned, Layer Cake is awesome but not a comedy. Snatch fits there, but probably falls outside of your timeframe stipulation (2001 I believe?). Jojo Rabbit should move up from the honorable mention. Ratatouille needs to be on the animation list.- Amazon prime recommendations
Thanks all for the recommendation for The English; really enjoyed it.- Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3
I figured this would be mostly about finding Gamorra but she’s prominent in the trailer so I guessing she didn’t get snapped with Thanos in Endgame? Like Tony’s snap was for “Thanos and anyone loyal to him” so she was exempt. I’m sure I missed something here. Adam Warlock sighting as expected. I thought the 2nd GoG was definitely a step down from the 1st so hoping this comes back up. Looking forward to it.- CFB coaching carousel
Stanford job opens up as Shaw steps down. I could see this being the one P5 job to lure Chris Petersen out of retirement. Link- NCAA Basketball 2022-23
I just turned this on a few minutes ago, but these have to be Big 10 officials just absolutely hosing San Diego State over and over again, right?- 2021 UFC/MMA thread
Any thoughts on this weekend’s card? On paper, looks as good as any we’ve seen in a while. I’m going Oliveira, Sterling, Yan and Dariush. CO v. IM is super interesting- Marvel Cinematic Universe the Endless Phase: Tripping Balls (Spoilers)
Am I the only one who thinks this is a bad idea?- The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power - Amazon Prime
Again, I know nothing of the source material beyond the “main four” books/movies, but it appears they’re setting up another fellowship? You have four hobbits that will hook up with a wizard, an elf with one man and I’m sure they’ll find Isildur, but I don’t see how they get a dwarf involved unless old Durin kicks out Junior for insubordination and they scoop him up. Otherwise, his spot will be taken by Theo. youtubers continue to absolutely dump on this show but I’m enjoying it.- 2022 Wild Card Series Weekend Thread
They need to rip this pitch comm thing off of Bassitt’s head like Drax did that one dude in GOTG.- NFL Week 5
Now they clear the field and make titans run one more play. Why do we know officials’ names in any sport? Why are morons like Gene Steratore, Dean Blandino, etc. “TV personalities”? All sports are killing themselves by trying to “make the game better” with replay, rules analysts, etc. just can all that, make officiating a full time job and go with it. If these folks were properly hired (and paid), trained and called what they saw, they’d be fine. Would they get everything correct? Probably not. But they screw it up with excessive delays and replays so just get rid of all that. - The Last of Us coming to HBO
