  1. Having a "no compromise" platform is what destroyed the GOP. I am glad the democratic party is soundly dismissing that platform. It is in the best interest of the US.
  2. Mary Louise Kelly interview of Fiona Hill from today https://www.npr.org/2020/03/10/814164958/fiona-hill-on-vladimir-putins-move-to-stay-in-power-in-russia
  3. It’ll likely be a female and it won’t be Warren since the governor in Mass is a rep.
  4. You know that black voters know more about white voters than white voters. How do you know this?
  5. Is this what losing looks like?
  6. Twitter trumpkins have trouble keeping up with their slew of twitter posts. Read a newspaper. Go talk to the guy at the corner store.
  7. Why is a Bernie bro posting WhAtAbOuT Obama twitter posts during the Trump Crash of 2020?
  8. Thanks man. How about you close the twitter account and quit squawking trumpkin talking points?
  9. Sounds like you were offended by it when Hillary said it. Weird. Or maybe you picked it from listening to trump at a rally?
  10. Why are there so many fake lefties here touting trumpkin talking points? This shit is straight out of Fox News and breitbart. Close your twitter account. Read a newspaper. Go talk to a person in your community.
  11. People will be better informed and have better political takes if they delete their twitter account
  12. Why does trump’s talking points align with Bernie bro talking points?
  13. The plan is to wrap up the primary, secure a solid VP, get Warren and Bernie to endorse Biden. Focus the TV ads, social media blitz, etc. on 1) the ineptitude and corruption of trump, 2) proposed structural changes to strengthen elections, end gerrymandering, campaign finance reform, end dark money (HB 1), 3) the need to expand healthcare coverage... along with whatever else happens to poll well.
  14. Any signs that Bernie has pivoted? That he listened to Ezra Klein and decided he needs to work with others that aren’t 100% with him on every issue? Getting Warren’s endorsement would have been a meaningful start. Any changes in messaging?
  15. I think the fact that Hillary lost in 2016 may have hurt Warren unfortunately. The odds seem high Biden picks a woman as VP and if the win, it would do well at increasing the odds a woman will win the Dem nominee after Biden.
  16. AOC appears to have realized it was the wrong approach. She reached out yesterday with a tone of coalition building. Bernie’s campaign might have realized it was the wrong approach. They are pushing out adds tying Obama to Bernie. Is it too late to pivot? Would his online supporters even listen? Is is even possible to pivot in a meaningful way for a guy who’s entire career has been about applying a litmus test and alienating others? Bernie is a populist - just like trump. Are people saying they don’t want another populist? I think Ezra Klein is correct. Bernie is just running the wrong campaign.
  17. I spent 6 months jousting with Bernie supporters then voted for him. I'm a strange guy. No worries. I've seen others express similar feelings.
  18. Ok. Those all seem like very strange feelings imo.
  19. I was in a discussion with someone on reddit about this. He was framing it as “unfair” and Bernie being a victim. How can the endorsements by candidates be considered anything but just ordinary politics? Why the “unfair” framing?
  20. You are a liar and idiot. Ok. Below is quick easy list of commonalities between Bernie and the democratic platform. The opinion of a liar/idiot isn't relevant. Both groups see health care as a right and want to expand health care services for all Americans. They differ on exactly how to do that. Both groups want to end gerrymandering, decrease corporate influence in politics, and make it easier for people to vote. Both groups want to make higher education more accessible. They differ on exactly how to do that. Both groups see climate change as a threat and want to build a green economy that decrease GHG emissions. Both groups want to increase the earnings of the working class, strengthen worker's rights, and increase the tax burden on the wealthy. The 2016 democratic platform is available online. https://democrats.org/where-we-stand/party-platform/
  21. Who cares what they say? Are you an idiot that actually listens and believes anything the GOP says? Are you a liar or an idiot? Or both? If you are going to comment in the Dem Nominee thread, read the democratic platform from 2016. https://democrats.org/where-we-stand/party-platform/
  22. You are a liar. Why would a bernie bro lie about the differences between the GOP and democrats? You are a liar pushing both sides are the same, the same narrative pushed by right-wing media outlets and trump himself. It is possible that instead of being a liar, your brain is rotted by twitter.
  23. This isn't true at all. Both groups see health care as a right and want to expand health care services for all Americans. They differ on exactly how to do that. Both groups want to end gerrymandering, decrease corporate influence in politics, and make it easier for people to vote. Both groups want to make higher education more accessible. 24. Well its the voters fault if they can't pass the literacy test, can't pay the poll tax, aren't landowners, aren't white males drive to the far away polling station.
