  1. I'll get out of here since it is your thread, but as someone who was season ticket holder of the Dallas Burn from the beginning, it's a tough league not to be frustrated about. Not really sure why it is that way, but I guess that's one more thing I don't really worry too much about. I've never cared about the tables or results, or at least didn't after a couple of seasons. I just enjoy some of the individual players and some of the individual games.
  2. I was in the Dallas supporters section across the field. You guy looked good over there -- about 1/8 of that side of the stadium. An improvement over the lot we see from Houston.
  3. You son sounds like he escaped a seriously problematic upbringing.
  4. I'm new to this forum but the Rangers/Astros/Spurs/Rockets/Rangers II can all got to hell. Actually, this will be my first game of the year.
  5. Ferreira is going to rip out Austin's heads and Pepi is going to shit down their necks. Anyway, at least I hope so, you Austin bitches.

  7. I really hope Magua has gotten over the whole "Grey Hair" thing.
  8. Not trying to threadjack, but when you join a union shop in a non-right to work state, you are forced to join the union, hence, its kind of "forced unionization", or at least being forced to join the union and pay union dues. While most prevailing wages mirror the union wage, a company certainly could hire more workers if it doesn't have to pay the prevailing wage, or violated prevailing wage laws - hence the wages do curtail at least some employment. So "complete 180 from the truth" is not only overstating it, it's just economically wrong.
  9. "Snots" or "Stanford" or "The Farm" is preferred.
  10. This is the ugliest woman in California.
  11. My opinion -- the Wire is the only one that is a pure classic that you need to see, just because of what the writers attempt to achieve. It's not the most enjoyable of the ones you listed, and some of it is a chore, but to me it's the one that makes you go "fuck, I'm speechless".
  12. Spoiler alert. One of these guys -- it's his last scene.
  13. Surly your husband has seen some of these?
  14. Dude likes the ladies. Status Cuomo.
  15. Dallas starting to look good. Ferreira and Pepe starting to get the feels.
  16. The ones I like tend to open at 10 -- too close to kick off and too far from stadium....
  17. Long ago I took a cab somewhere for some reason in Ft. Smith arkansas and the cab driver was just ranting about how all the Okies came to Arkansas "acting all high and mighty" and just "lording it over us folks from Arkansas" and I just sat their dumbfounded thinking this was like a pissing match of the local extras from Deliverance.
  18. Thanks all. I've actually heard this from a few people - not so much it's going to be great but more so it's the only possible game in town. I was actually thinking one of the bar/brunch places in Dallas but they all open too late.
  19. Although now that I think about it, with this crew it might make more sense just to go straight to the game and hang out after we witness the shitty game.
  20. So I am going to meet up with some college friends for Stanford/KState for the 11 am game in September. I don't think there is going to be much of Stanford presence because, well, Stanford v. KState. So not really exciting about any Arlington pre-game locals or activities. Some local alumni shit may open up but I'm a shitty alumni. Small group of about 10 people staying in Dallas the night before - maybe two of them actually give a shit about the game. I'm thinking I should probably plan on some kind of interim bloody mary type place prior to the game. Any ideas? I was thinking something Bishop Artsy/Design District type thing but I've not been down in that area since pandemic.
