We like the meatball app at Andiamo, like the vibe there also.

haha I had no idea where I was, no live scoring or leaderboards. honestly, my driver is probably more consistent than a mid-iron for me heh, holed out 5 iron notwithstanding. I went 7-6-6-6 on the par 5s, despite actually being over the water in 2 on 12 which always felt impossible to me.

I think it's just deceptively hard for some reason. Agree it feels like it is very gettable but then at the end of the day the score isn't there. The tourney I was in was net, and I had figured I was dead, but actually was a shot out of the money shooting a net 77 (def made my quad on 18, which is absolutely an easy hole, hurt a bit more). Lots and lots of people in all the flights shooting mid-70s to low-80s net, which is worse than the other tourneys.

Hope it helps! I also have started using LMNT or Liquid IV to help with hydration, I’ll drink the night before as well if I’m walking or it’s going to be hot/humid. Def also seems to help for me.

are you staying hydrated and having good nutrition? was listening to a podcast and they recommended small nutritious snacks like nuts, dried fruit, etc., after 5, 10, and 15. my pony was just a couple seconds slow

65%, not 60%, but yeah point stands. Everyone loves the giant action until all the fun players either go broke or don't want to play that big anymore or get runnoft, and then you just push chips around and pay rake.

You have way more. All 9 hearts, except the king, all 7 non board pair diamonds, the other ace and the other tens. So 18 nut outs and the Kh is only losing to a single combo.

Arccos. It does strokes gained calculations, and lots of cool/fun stats. It does require equipment plus an annual fee. Other cool apps that cost less if you're looking for just scorekeeping/GPS etc are The Grint and 18 Birdies, which both have free and paid versions. Shot Pattern is another cool one that has a Black Friday special going for its paid version, I use the free version to look at courses before playing.

Playing a CTGA tourney at Lions. First lifetime ace! Sadly couldn’t see it go in, was behind the raised lip of the short right bunker. 158y, 5 iron.

Hey all! I reserved 12 slots for a Bandon trip January 10-15 (travel on 1/9 and 1/16). My group has had some issues, and we currently have 6 going. Before I throw the slots back to Bandon, I wanted to open them up to y'all, since you helped me before my initial Bandon trip. If you are 1 or 2 people, you can fit into our 2 slots and I can cancel the other 4. If you are 4 people, you can either play as your group of 4 each round, or integrate into our group, as you prefer. 100% zero hard feelings if you are like "OMG I have a group of 4 we have wanted Bandon forever, and we want to play together, not with internet strangers". Or if you have 6, you can be fully or partially integrated. The itinerary: 1/10 - Sheep Ranch 9, 910, 920 1/11 - Old Mac 9, 910, 920 1/12 - Shorty's 9, 915, 930; Preserve 215, 230, 245 1/13 - Pac Dunes 940, 950, 1000 1/14 - Bandon Trails 1030, 1040, 1050 1/15 - Bandon Dunes 9, 910, 920 Green fees are $120 for the big courses, $60 for the par 3s. Rooms booked are Inn Forest Doubles, $220 per night for the room (so $110/nt if double occupancy) Our group is mostly mid-teens cappers, with my dad being a 30, but he will also be playing the Orange tees (roughly 5000 yards). Holler if anyone is interested!

The phrasing is weird but is used when you have a non-paired low card you’re playing with one that is also matched on the board bc four lows are now there. Correct he is playing 7-6-4-3-A. The 8 river doesn’t change that.

We arrived at 7:30, parked in the lot at Gate 2 on the NW corner, and was able to park immediately on the left, rather than having to do the long drive down by the bridge. Walked right into the fair, and man it was awesome with cool crisp air and really empty. Had a Fletcher's with zero wait, and just enjoyed three or so hours of no lines, a non-sauna Food Court, etc. Loved it! Sat down at a picnic table in the shade by the Lagoon and relaxed, and enjoyed some 5 coop can beer from the Gulf Coast Grill. Can >>>>> wax cup on keeping beer cold. About 11, it got warm and a bit crowded. Our normal sit space at The Dock was reserved, so a bit more wandering and Food Court time. Entered the stadium around 1:15, through Gate J. Our tickets were 103, but J looked very uncrowded, and that seemed easier to enter and then circle rather than fight into the Coliseum/Cotton Bowl Plaza area. Took maybe 4 minutes to get into the stadium. Was definitely annoying after getting to seats, wife wanted a Gatorade, which is only at the concessions in the end zone upper deck, not the "old" upper deck, and so went back through the ramp/stairs, waited like 25 minutes in line, for them to say they "just ran out" of Gatorade, when it's still 45 minutes to kick. How literally fucking stupid do you have to be to run out of a nonperishable good, that will be in high demand due to conditions, that you are selling at a 300% markup? Legitimately how bad must someone hate money? It was hot in the stadium, but the towel and low humidity helped. 2013 as an example felt roughly 20 degrees hotter. I exchanged "hope of winning" for "shade from the sun" at about the 3:00 mark in Q2, which wasn't a good deal but I'd rather have one of those than neither. We sat in the seats maybe 15-20 min after the final gun to let the mob clear, exited through Cotton Bowl Plaza which was annoying but not stifling, and were able to get a few more items without egregious hassle. Left about 8 and rolled right out and onto Haskell, and back to our AirBnB in 25 minutes, no traffic issues exiting whatsoever.

There are some but rare. I got tickets from a realtor whose grandfather requested them with his season tickets.

This goddamn game, I swear. Have been chipping/pitching really well recently, I'm an 18.5 and I compare myself to a 15 index in my Arccos and have been consistently +SG in short game vs a 15, including multiple rounds where I was close to or even better than scratch. Have a round where I hit 9/13 fairways with all four misses being just in light rough with realistic shots at the green; was on the green or greenside on all 5 par 3s, including a 5w to 9 feet on one; had zero lost balls/penalty strokes AND gained strokes putting! Must have been a great round right?? OPE, lost 10.9 strokes short game, whammy!! FIVE times down in 5 from greenside and four more down in 4. Hate golf, can't wait to play more golf.
