  1. OH MAN. I thought these were gone when Kerlin BBQ went away, but this sparked me to research and see that they still live. What great news!
  2. The article said the line was around the block at open.
  3. Just fucking LOL at putting some of this shit in writing. Pretty disappointing, but the food is good enough that I'm gonna compartmentalize this as an oversight and take their word that they have fixed it going forward.
  4. Looks nice! LFG!
  5. I feel like divots are the scrapes taken from clubs and ballmarks are the indentions made by the balls hitting the turf, but I can't reconcile that with the fact that the thing used to fix ballmarks is very often called a "divot repair tool".
  6. Haha yeah won’t be the first or the last. I did convert this bird on 16. And good call, they are bent grass greens.
  7. Played Diamondback National in Abilene yesterday. Really great layout. Excellent conditions, fast greens. Lot of unrepaired ballmarks for some reason but super true other than those. It was like $80 which for Abilene on a Wed seems stiff but I really liked it. Had this putt for birdie on 1, and hey E through one is still good right. Right?
  8. The greens are 25k, red 5k, yellow 1k.
  9. SB has at least 200k at 4/8-8. Mandatory autocall putting 3k more in to win 19.
  10. Like the sun rising in the east....
  11. My trip was awesome!! One cash on twelve entries, including zero bounties in 2 (kind of 3) bounty tournaments. Finished the trip ZERO FOR TWELVE on my last 12 allins with cards still to come, including two of them for bounties where I was 95 and 80% when the cards go on their backs). 1/4096 shot assuming average of 50% equities. Had coffee spilled on me and my Peter Millar pullover I got at Bandon Dunes then the dude who spilled it screamed at me for it. Aria stole $800 from me (I registered as alternate, explicitly asked and was told I could get a refund as long as I didn't take the seat; was playing video poker while I wait, machine freezes mid-hand with a huge draw pending and me with hundreds of dollars in machine; I have to flag down 3 different people and wait an HOUR to get the fucking thing unlocked; finally do (miss draw obv); go to get refund, whoops sorry we put your chips in play no refunds after reg closes). This is the third bounty tournament I referred to above. Made plans once poker was done around picking up a rental car for the last day, get there, sorry no car! (cue Seinfeld reservations clip). SWA broke the pull handle on my luggage, then delayed my return flight so that I got to my house at 5AM. Shit gets OLD.
  12. I just want to have that raw confidence to feel sure your AA will win there rather than just thinking "pleasejesuschristdon'tgivehimdiamondsnodeucenodeuce"
  13. Been a couple months since I've played anything. I also created a Twitter Circle that are the only people to see my tweets, for 1) to not spam tons of people who don't GAF about things like day 1 chip counts or hand histories (including people who don't follow me, but someone they know does, etc.) and 2) to ensure people at my table aren't seeing the tweets. Fire me a DM here or there and I can add you.
  14. Will be in Vegas June 23-July 5, LFG!
  15. One note on Cattleack, it's only open Thu-Fri. You said "middle of the week" so just don't show up on Tue or Wed. But it slams for sure.
  16. It was the exact same in the Transportation Code for red light cameras until that section got repealed. The presumption is you have to keep the registration address current, and the notice is mailed to the address the vehicle is registered to. The ordinance provides that failure to contest or pay is an admission of liability.
  17. First visit to Burnt Bean. Got in line at 11 on a Thursday, got food right before noon. Everything was excellent. The Tejano brisket taco was extremely good and great value for $6. The homemade tortilla was a wonderful touch. Loved the street corn pudding and the banana pudding as far as items that someone might not get every time. The plates were also superb value and sides worth it.
  18. A bit more information - this is based on a 2015 Austin city ordinance which creates the civil cause of action (again, not criminal). Failure to contest admits liability. It's next to impossible to find the actual text of the ordinance. The one in San Antonio bars them from sending it to collections. AISD gets 40% of the fines, and the vendor gets 60%. https://www.kxan.com/investigations/more-than-half-who-fight-300-school-bus-stop-arm-tickets-are-winning/
  19. It’s the same thing as the red light cameras. They can’t actually prove beyond a reasonable doubt the criminal offense since they can’t show who is driving the car. So anything going back to “well the car registered to you did this” would have to be civil. Similar to this, they take your lack of challenging it in requesting a hearing as liability. Definitely very tenuous but also possible to end up a huge pain in the ass.
  20. Close, JP courts, but thanks for the shout, good recall! As others have mentioned, a sworn complaint must be filed within 2 years of the offense for a misdemeanor criminal offense to not be outside the statute of limitations. But they aren't trying to pursue criminal charges, this is a civil debt (as it states, she can't go to jail or have it go on her driving record, etc.). There are statutes of limitations for civil causes of action as well. I don't know how a court would classify this cause of action, but the general statute of limitations for debt is 4 years in Texas. "Dealings between the parties" can reset the statute of limitations in debt collection cases. There is argument over whether simple communications count (most courts say no). Definitely any payment counts, which is why debt collectors love the "Pay $20 just to show you're serious about your obligations" tactic since it resets the clock. The options are: Ignore it, which they will take as an admission of liability, and will create a civil debt which they will potentially attempt to collect, creating hassle, but also potentially will just go away. Or request the hearing as they offer and state that facts and evidence are lost due to the pursuit of this 6 years after the fact, more than triple the misdemeanor statute of limitations for the same conduct, and more than 2 years after a debt can legally be sued for. I have no familiarity with this company or these hearings, so have no idea which path is better.
  21. Fattie: Guns don’t just kill people on their own! Reality: Because you and yours advance the idea that a loaded gun brought to graduation is a normal brain thing to do.
  22. Wasn’t off by any months. She is currently 15. We have been working on the requirements for a permit and DL over the last 8 months, you know, since public safety concerns dictate that a car operator be safe. When she turns 16, having complied with all of these requirements, then she can drive a car. 24 months to the day from that day she can buy an AR-15 with zero licensure, registration, or training. And we weren’t only discussing whether she should be able to have one at all but why there is no requirement for supervision, registration, insurance, training, or licensure when an AR-15 is orders of magnitude more dangerous than a car. And not only that, but the cunts that you and yours put into power like Abbott, BRAG about this fact.
  23. To drive a car, my 15 year old kid has to have dozens of hours of classroom time, additional dozens of hours of supervised road practice, get a license, have liability insurance, and the car must also be registered and inspected. 24 months later she can just walk into a store and buy an AR-15 with zero training, licensing, supervision, or direction. Anyone who thinks this is logical is a dumb sack of flea bitten dogshit.
  24. Picture got borked somehow but hit up Distant Relatives yesterday for the first time. Got the smoked chicken thigh with chili sauce, the spicy dry rub ribs, the pulled pork with tamarind molasses sauce, and the brisket with smoked butter mustard sauce. Everything was very good and the sauces were interesting. I really enjoyed the rub and flavor of the chicken thigh probably the most. Solid 8/10, worth hitting up for sure, not on the tippy top tier IMO. The setup at Meanwhile with the food trucks was cool and I had a pineapple hefeweizen beer from Meanwhile that was very tasty and refreshing.
