  1. Vic & Anthony, Hugos Cellar, Barrys Prime, Andiamo would all seem to be good selections.
  2. I visited in February. Had brunch at a casual restaurant that was solid. The “upscale food court” looked to have several pretty cool options. Casino floor was clean and attractive but was pretty dead. It was a weekday around 11a-noon, but that’s been a fairly common complaint that the casino area isn’t high energy. I liked that I could apply and get a rewards card at a kiosk rather than waiting in a line and dealing with people. Poker area looked nice and comfortable but is tucked in a corner so doesn’t get walk-in traffic and was also fairly dead. Obv the biggest hurdle is just location, if you already aren’t at the Venetian/Wynn area, dunno what would pull you all the way over there just because.
  3. Wrong one, but also a classic! “Cartwright?”
  4. Kind of clowny to call an entire property a “shambles” because an independent restaurant in that property lost your reservation. Totally get being pissed obv and insert Seinfeld anybody can TAKE reservations gif.
  5. If St Marys and NMState would have won I would have done this in BOTH this contest and the seeded draft! Alas I will have to suffer just cataclysmic failure not quite on the most historic scale.
  6. Just so exasperating. Thought about switching to Kansas and hoping Murray loses but knew KU would then dick off and Murray wins 92-58 and I wonder why I outsmarted myself. May end up last place in literally every single contest I entered for this tourney. So fun.
  7. Fixed! I thought your original post was just pointing out that I am fucked b/c Creighton won, which, yes, the accuracy.
  8. I do appreciate that my results are drastically worse than EV just like at poker. Just relentless run bad.
  9. Here is the link to the sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kmKM0eXjBdaLYFhS-Y1ZroWsDGzaSMRvkCDAtVCCsGk/edit?usp=sharing I'm apparently too dumb or tilted to figure out to make the leaderboard automatically sort once new data is entered that changes scores, so currently I'm "re-sorting" after each wave, but if anyone can tell me how to easily do that, I can do that.
  10. JESUS FUCKING FUCK What an absolute travesty of a day in every Tourney-related contest I'm in. I'm sure UCLA is on their way to anally raping my mother while pouring sugar in my gas tank in survivor. I'm home now so finishing up the spreadsheet which is super fun to do now that I'm already dead in the water. I'll have the link shortly. Several of my friends pussed out disappointingly, so 14 total entries. Prize pool of TREE FITTY, so $245 to winner, $105 to runner up. GL all.
  11. Yeah I really like the various strategies which is why I got tired of missing this contest and decided to run it myself. In the original group there was always solid debate on the best 8/9 strat, to take opponents to guarantee at least 9 points or risk zero to try to get 19.
  12. Really mediocre meal at Stanley’s sadly. Mushy ribs and jala chz sausage was super meh. They have 3 options for brisket: lean, moist, barky. Hell yes give me barky. Brisket was very good. They threw in some potato salad that had a jalapeño kick and was also good.
  13. BTW, so far 58 of the 64 teams have been taken on at least one entry.
  14. The wildcard needs to be a team not in your original 16. I know it's confusing since that's different than Wulaw's free contest. The wild card here is a bonus team, not just a tiebreak.
  15. Up to 13 total entries now, with hopefully a few more coming tomorrow. Will pay top 2, 70%/30% unless we get to 20 entries, then pay top 3, 50/30/20%. I'm making a Google Sheet (I kinda suck at it, am learning though, but had invested too much time in a mediocre way of doing it, ha). I will share the sheet in the thread at some point tomorrow, though I will be a bit slow updating, I am teaching a class 830-1230 then playing some golf then driving from Gladewater to Cedar Park. GL all!
  16. Don’t give results when asking for how to play a hand bc it taints the answers. I would just call turn against the described villain since he likes to barrel, I want to let him do that. We have an absolute monster headsup, esp with super short stacks. On river I would go ahead and jam bc he prob has to call off with any club or eight since we have basically nothing behind. If we are deeper just snap calling. Players usually aren’t calling big river raises with like the naked 9 of clubs on a paired four flush board.
  17. Yeah theoretically the ones who didn’t follow the guideline disadvantaged themselves slightly by having their tiebreaker not be one of their 8 favorites.
  18. Our crack security system wasn’t going to be fooled by such shenanigans.
  19. I’ll take Delaware and Wulaw will take TXAMCC/TSU. @shadow_operative
  20. What absolute disingenuous horseshit.
  21. JFC. Ok for one I never said I was “down with screaming” I was pointing out multiple reasons why someone upset with someone not wearing a mask is much more reasonable than someone upset bc someone is wearing a mask. For two, someone camping in public bc they are homeless is 99.9% likely the victim of some horrific circumstances (yes sometimes their own poor choices) and is much more deserving of kindness and sympathy than some oppositional defiance disorder addled toddler freedumb warrior. I think screaming and berating is not useful or something to aspire to in any circumstance. It is completely 100% reasonable to firmly and politely request someone put on a mask where it is required, since people may be there based on those restrictions. It is unreasonable ever to ask someone to remove a mask or to ask someone to put one on where it isn’t required.
  22. "decided to brush his tooth" was RIGHT THERE MAN
