  1. What do you not like about them? Ironically, we implemented it to make things more fun. Generally, adding strategic layers and decision points = bueno. So, say I have an underperforming rookie WR, do I cut him, or keep him on for now in hopes of keeping him for next year? I have a dynasty league also and love it.
  2. I have been part of a fantasy league for 25 years. Membership has evolved some, there are 3 of us left from season 1 and 5 from season 2. The current roster has all been together for a decade plus. It's a $100 league, and my brother and I drive from Austin to Oklahoma City for the draft weekend, play golf and poker, etc. So not a high stakes league, among friends and family. This year, we decided to add keepers (and we do auction drafting). You can keep min 1, max 2. Value is this year's draft value plus $5 or 10%, whichever is greater. Free agents have value of $1. Some people wanted to have drafted players always keep draft value, but others didn't like that b/c if someone overpays, then cuts, the new owner shouldn't be bound to the old value. A potential loophole/issue got raised in Week 2 where the issue of players like Barkley came up. Either the player who had him has to keep Barkley all year in their IR spot, at their disadvantage, or cut him and someone can pick him up and keep for $6. So we implemented a rule where you can do what we call an "IR freeze" where you can drop a player on IR and they are frozen, and automatically in draft pool next year. We had a full discussion about if there were any other issues and none were raised. We do FAAB bidding for the free agents. It has come to the league's attention that one player is saving all of his FAAB, so that he can cut a player (either Josh Jacobs or CEH) and then immediately resign him, so he can keep him for $6 next year. Wanted to get some outside opinions on this, thanks!!
  3. 74 college football teams are playing currently. PFF grades Texas as #72 of 74 in tackling, and OU as #73 of 74. You never know, but yeah this feels like an absurd 51-45 type of game. BTW, for those wondering who tackles worse - Vanderbilt. So that's good.
  4. LAW AND ORDER tho
  5. I'm happy to get the extra week of rest/recovery for Diontae Johnson and AJ Brown now so they can play this game later!
  6. Yeah, I anticipated the market for RRS this year to be sick, just based on limited supply. I will very much miss the fair festivities, but, hey, I'm still getting a couple Fletcher's and some beer, and some fucking ROOM to spread out, so definitely not all bad!
  7. You’re an imbecile. Does the flu typically result in people dying in hospital floors because there is no ICU space available? Oh no it doesn’t. Cool.
  8. My daughter also had a fever and dry cough and tested negative for flu.
  9. I would take the under on confirmed cases, because of how many asymptomatic/mild cases there will be, especially once hospitals are ransacked. But if you look at the data, the only reason to think that many people won't contract it is "just because I want it to be true."
  10. Again, people who have no clue spreading misinformation. The kids carry the fucking virus, they just don't by and large (though not 100%) develop the illness, especially severe cases. But morons will hear her and others like her say that shit and think HEY SHE'S A NURSE and that she knows shit from dick. Yes, this random nurse knows more than 95+% of all epidemiologists, virologists, the WHO, the CDC, Dr. Fauci, all the national and local governments who are making decisions. Not directed at you Parliament, just annoyed how many unnecessary deaths the stupid and uninformed will cause.
  11. LOL wow the crossover. My office was sending two people to Lifesavers (they had actually elected to not go the same day it was cancelled) and my ex-wife was doing TLA. She's super bummed.
  12. Not to mention Japan, South Korea, Singapore..... Freudian autocorrect.
  13. I mean, you really don't know that. Healthy 80 year olds die all the time. Biden is clearly declining now, and we have seen how the stress of campaigning and the Presidency ages people. You really to wager that Biden is alive, healthy, and at least competent enough for appearances in, say, summer 2023? That's 40 months from now. And again, this completely disregards rampant spread of a virus that kills about 15% of those in Biden's age bracket that contract it.
  14. Also obviously some have been infected but not discovered/confirmed bc no or slight symptoms.
  15. Lol at some of y’all saying VP is worthless. In a vacuum maybe, but what are the odds the VP becomes Prez when the nominee is a declining 80 year old in a world with a highly contagious virus killing off the olds?
  16. Lifesavers Conference?
  17. Lifesavers Conference?
  18. This. Now if he wants to say hand washing isn't sufficient, fine. But to say it isn't helpful, when we are talking about a virus that can apparently live on surfaces, is just false. I can pick the virus up on my hands, then touch my nose, mouth, or food, and get sick. To say don't worry about those things is just disingenuous and reckless.
  19. Literally resorting to wishing it away, and notice the things we need to protect. Citizens? Nope. Industry? Yep. I had vowed to not vote for Biden, but this lump of fuck is going to directly cause thousands of unnecessary American deaths, so I very well be voting for a benign senile lump of goo to replace this malignant senile lump of goo. Really appreciate the choice, America.
  20. Supposed to take the kids for their first trip to Universal Orlando in mid-May. Originally booked flights on SWA for $218/ea, have rebooked for $90/ea. Rebooked hotel for $60 cheaper total for 5 nights. Can cancel hotel up to 5 nights before trip. Only potential risk is got the tickets for the park through Sam's Club, which can only be used through May 22. I would anticipate Sam's will work with us in the event that things deteriorate to the point that the trip isn't feasible.
  21. Your use of the word "were" in relation to the numbers in China and South Korea show how completely uninformed you are on this. What if it is 10x what it is in Italy, where people are dying in the floor of the hospital without care? NBD? JFC.
  22. As posted, it is completely and thoroughly asinine to say you can't post a tweet from the fucking President about the subject of the thread.
  23. Yeah for one the logistics are hugely difficult, much more so here than in China. As has been posted many times, try placing a complete lockdown on Houston. For two, there were bullseyes in China where it was originating. It's all over the place here. What places are you qurantining and from where? We aren't testing, so quarantining will lock some uninfected in with the infected.
  24. With all due respect, you're misinformed. Take a look at the links that have been posted regarding exponential growth. Italy is letting people just die without treatment in the floor of the hospital because their health care system is literally collapsing. That doesn't sound like "starting to get there." China imposed draconian quarantines that we cannot. South Korea and Japan implemented early cancellations and quarantines, and SK has widespread testing. We have none of those things. Also Italy is approaching 10,000 cases and the curve is rocketing up. That's not "a couple thousand." Immediate measures are needed to slow infections to prevent the complete overrun of our medical system.
