  1. Here is the link to the rosters. Unfortunately the leaderboard won't be working for a bit, takes some work to link it all up and I'm traveling so dunno when for sure. 31 entries, $775 pool. $375, 250, 150. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19QKpPAG5FkCqOBF6X-96lESy09z057V3fCICHhmCghM/edit

  5. $ recd, can DM whatever you need bby plz
  6. I really need the Ride to Robert’s line of “I’m still running, but I’m not alone” to be “I’m still traveling, but I’m not alone”
  7. yes sir, as always can put "seeds" and please include user name but not March Madness etc
  8. Running this back, thread in the Basketball forum.
  9. Hey all, I'm also running the contest I ran last year, which isn't a pure bracket contest. Instead, you pick one team from every seed line, plus a wild card of your choice (so you pick 17 teams total). Scoring is 1 pt for a round of 64 win, 3 for a round of 32 win, 5 for a Sweet 16 win, 7 for an Elite 8 win, 9 for a Final Four win, and 11 for a natty. PLUS each win gets a bonus of the seed of the winning team. So say your 12 seed wins its first round game, you get 13 points (1 for the win, 12 for seed bonus). Note that the points don't start til the round of 64, so you can take, say, Texas, as your 11 but you don't get points for them beating Xavier in the First Four. (You can take Texas/Xavier as your 11 and you get whoever wins, you don't have to specify). $25 entry. Had 27 entries last year, hope we can pass that. DM me your picks by 12PM Eastern on Thursday, March 20. I have a Google Sheet I will send out with rosters and a live leaderboard, though I'm traveling to Seattle on Thursday and have a pretty extreme schedule through the next Thursday, so be patient.
  10. It’s easy top 5 for sure. Just go.
  11. I saw a response to this which was “At least Luka got a bag” which was A+
  12. I really would love to ask these private equity cunts "For what reason, exactly, do you envision people choosing SWA going forward?" I would wager it's some flavor of "our research indicates that SWA has loyal followers who strongly prefer it over other airlines" and they simply have not processed that they are killing literally everything that created that loyalty. For a quarter century, I certainly defaulted to SWA and advocated for it, and now I will fly it if it's the clearly cheapest/most convenient and never anytime else, just like any other airline.
  13. In and paid, thanks for running it
  14. Lots of people prefer being able to pick seats without paying extra for the privilege. Every time I fly non SWA all the doltmuppets stand up and clog everything anyway. And I could GAF less about being in an early boarding group when there are assigned seats just so I can hurry up and be on the plane for 30 min while every dumb rube tries to find 12B so who cares?
  15. Cardholders still get one free. "A disappointment to some." Yeah, I'm sure there are tons of people thrilled to pay more for checked bags and that you are walking back the "flight credits don't expire" policy you just fucking added. Shitweasels.
  16. True Believer for me. GWIL, Gravelweed, title track, Eileen also right up there.
  17. Had been making some progress and paid off today with what I'd say was my best round ever. Shot 80 at Plum Creek as a 17.9 index, so net 62. Could've been a lot better, too, as I made a triple from 90 out, a double from 102 out, and a triple on a 150 yard par 3 when I totally gacked a 6 iron tee shot. So I was +8 on those three holes, +1 on the other 15, including going birdie-eagle on 8 and 9. Was super proud also after totally dicking that 6 iron on 17, had a 5 iron in on 18, knowing I needed bird for 79 and flushed it to 12 feet. Just ran it by the edge, sadly. I do have one lower score, a 77 at par 70 Mustang in Taylor, but this was a significantly better round overall. I followed that 77 up with a 108. I am playing Monday at 830 at Star Ranch, hopefully a better follow up this time! (Two spots open if anyone wants to play!)
  18. and yep she was dead 6 days, but he didn't realize b/c Alzheimer's. Also obv didn't realize dog was kenneled. Man God was sure on fire when he decided to include Alzheimer's in the ole grand design.
  19. Well, surely you aren't doubling down on hands that can bust, so whether our hand is revealed before or after the dealer runs out and does or doesn't bust is totally meaningless, at least from a win or lose perspective. You may prefer one way or the other for entertainment/sweat purposes, obv.
  20. Lots and lots of people are fine with the social aspect but don't really wanna be a pariah or get yelled at or drunkenly threatened. Go stand at a craps table and yell 7 and explain to everyone that it doesn't actually make 7 out more likely.
  21. This is 100% true but it’s also 100% true that he will at minimum get people pissed off and quite possibly harassed/berated. It’s of course an exercise for the listener to decide how much they care about the irrational emotional reactions of others.
  22. Basic strat is mathematically shown to be the highest EV play given a neutral deck. There are more 10 value cards in the deck than 2s, 3s, and 4s combined. The mathematical expectation of a card doesn’t change if it’s face up or face down.
  23. There's a video with Kattan here, he looks physically uncomfortable, but seems mentally fine: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/video/chris-kattan-snl-50/ Also, I thought dang Cheri Oteri is looking a bit rough until I saw she is 62, and I slipped further into my grave.
