  1. Had a video evaluation and my head was moving way off the ball on the backswing, I was too far back onto my heels at address, and I was too far from the ball. The last two had crept in as "hosel defense." I also had really gotten good with 30-80 yard shots (good for my level), but the last several rounds, they were terrible. Had two range sessions working on keeping head centered, standing closer, and more on the balls of my feet. Worked well on range. Took it to the course yesterday. Played a tee box back from normal, so only ended up with two 30-80 yard shots. Hit the first one to 7 feet from 55 yards, and the second one I had 70 yards in on my 18th hole and just dunked it for eagle. Uh, that seems better than skulling it all over the lot! Ball striking was mostly quite improved, I had the first +SG approach round (compared to 15hc) in Arccos in the 42 rounds I've used it. Had my 3rd worse SG putting round, which I'm writing off to flukiness, putting has been really really solid. Hit the last 5 GIR, went par-birdie-3putt bogey from 20 feet-par-eagle to close. Exciting!
  2. Burnt Bean def fucks, I need to go back
  3. We played golf at Mustang Creek in Taylor and got the tip screen when paying for our golf. The same counter is where you pay for snacks and drinks, they don’t have a separate one. But still.
  4. Some filthy hands there for sure!
  5. Loved Coyote Moon in Tahoe. Headed back next month and playing Gray's Crossing and Toiyabe (and Red Hawk in Reno). Have played RH but not the other two. Love golf there.
  6. I'd say generally not smoky at all in main strip casinos, unless you are at a table or machine directly next to someone smoking.
  7. If they are just adding 20% to all tabs, you'd think they would get a much more favorable response if they just instead said "Good news! No more tipping at all! Price you see is what you pay!!" and just raised all the prices 20%.
  8. OH MAN. I thought these were gone when Kerlin BBQ went away, but this sparked me to research and see that they still live. What great news!
  9. The article said the line was around the block at open.
  10. Just fucking LOL at putting some of this shit in writing. Pretty disappointing, but the food is good enough that I'm gonna compartmentalize this as an oversight and take their word that they have fixed it going forward.
  11. I feel like divots are the scrapes taken from clubs and ballmarks are the indentions made by the balls hitting the turf, but I can't reconcile that with the fact that the thing used to fix ballmarks is very often called a "divot repair tool".
  12. Haha yeah won’t be the first or the last. I did convert this bird on 16. And good call, they are bent grass greens.
  13. Played Diamondback National in Abilene yesterday. Really great layout. Excellent conditions, fast greens. Lot of unrepaired ballmarks for some reason but super true other than those. It was like $80 which for Abilene on a Wed seems stiff but I really liked it. Had this putt for birdie on 1, and hey E through one is still good right. Right?
  14. The greens are 25k, red 5k, yellow 1k.
  15. SB has at least 200k at 4/8-8. Mandatory autocall putting 3k more in to win 19.
  16. Like the sun rising in the east....
  17. My trip was awesome!! One cash on twelve entries, including zero bounties in 2 (kind of 3) bounty tournaments. Finished the trip ZERO FOR TWELVE on my last 12 allins with cards still to come, including two of them for bounties where I was 95 and 80% when the cards go on their backs). 1/4096 shot assuming average of 50% equities. Had coffee spilled on me and my Peter Millar pullover I got at Bandon Dunes then the dude who spilled it screamed at me for it. Aria stole $800 from me (I registered as alternate, explicitly asked and was told I could get a refund as long as I didn't take the seat; was playing video poker while I wait, machine freezes mid-hand with a huge draw pending and me with hundreds of dollars in machine; I have to flag down 3 different people and wait an HOUR to get the fucking thing unlocked; finally do (miss draw obv); go to get refund, whoops sorry we put your chips in play no refunds after reg closes). This is the third bounty tournament I referred to above. Made plans once poker was done around picking up a rental car for the last day, get there, sorry no car! (cue Seinfeld reservations clip). SWA broke the pull handle on my luggage, then delayed my return flight so that I got to my house at 5AM. Shit gets OLD.
  18. I just want to have that raw confidence to feel sure your AA will win there rather than just thinking "pleasejesuschristdon'tgivehimdiamondsnodeucenodeuce"
  19. Been a couple months since I've played anything. I also created a Twitter Circle that are the only people to see my tweets, for 1) to not spam tons of people who don't GAF about things like day 1 chip counts or hand histories (including people who don't follow me, but someone they know does, etc.) and 2) to ensure people at my table aren't seeing the tweets. Fire me a DM here or there and I can add you.
  20. Will be in Vegas June 23-July 5, LFG!
  21. One note on Cattleack, it's only open Thu-Fri. You said "middle of the week" so just don't show up on Tue or Wed. But it slams for sure.
  22. It was the exact same in the Transportation Code for red light cameras until that section got repealed. The presumption is you have to keep the registration address current, and the notice is mailed to the address the vehicle is registered to. The ordinance provides that failure to contest or pay is an admission of liability.
  23. First visit to Burnt Bean. Got in line at 11 on a Thursday, got food right before noon. Everything was excellent. The Tejano brisket taco was extremely good and great value for $6. The homemade tortilla was a wonderful touch. Loved the street corn pudding and the banana pudding as far as items that someone might not get every time. The plates were also superb value and sides worth it.
  24. A bit more information - this is based on a 2015 Austin city ordinance which creates the civil cause of action (again, not criminal). Failure to contest admits liability. It's next to impossible to find the actual text of the ordinance. The one in San Antonio bars them from sending it to collections. AISD gets 40% of the fines, and the vendor gets 60%. https://www.kxan.com/investigations/more-than-half-who-fight-300-school-bus-stop-arm-tickets-are-winning/
