  1. Yep, my bad. GB3 should explore the draft process, see if he can get a promise in the 1st round, and if not, it's almost definitely in his best interest to come back. I won't be surprised if he goes regardless to start his career and basically betting on himself to his 1st free agency. He'll be a decent pick (top 45) basically no matter what based off his pedigree, athleticism, and upside.
  2. He definitely shouldn't come back lmao. He's 23 coming off of a good year, he'll likely get a 2 way contract or at worst a solid deal overseas. Coming back for another year isn't going to change his pro perception, it's not going to make him grow a couple inches or make him more athletic.
  3. I'm assuming he's alluding to another transfer soon
  4. The issue is shooting and spacing when you have both of your forwards below 30% from the 3 point line, not to mention Askew who could be potentially starting as well. If Sims comes back we could be monstrous defensively but we'd absolutely need Bishop coming off the bench because we'll just have the paint stuffed against us. Groves might be the priority just to have a functioning offense.
  5. Here's his dad saying he specifically does not want to play the 5
  6. Neither Bishop/Allen seem like rim protectors, I'd expect a more traditional starting 5 with Bishop/Allen as switchable wings and a center TBD.
  7. I saw it as 200k, huge salary bump, plus getting the fuck out of Abilene is always a bonus, even if El Paso isn't the nicest spot
  8. Or the fact that there's still about 2000 (actual number) dudes in the transfer portal. I promise we'll have bigs.
  9. The other 3 are dumb if they don't go pro, but I expect Ramey to stay. I also thought it wouldn't be smart for AJ to come back and not play pro ball in Europe or whatever though, he's never going to be an NBA draft pick anymore.
  10. A lot of Kentucky fans are going to trash him for this season, but he's young for his year and their whole team was a shitshow. The only players who were remotely in a position to succeed by the end of the year were Dontaie Allen and Isaiah Jackson.
  11. Big get, didn't shoot it well at all this year but nobody at Kentucky did, almost definitely was told he'd start. Good defender and he was supposed to be a freshman next year so hopefully being in a different environment helps get him going.
  12. Basically just keeping options open to see what his draft stock (none) is while he looks for a different school. Darryl Morsell out of Maryland has done this and has said he's also open to returning to UMD so literally listening to everyone.
  13. I am shocked he wasn't in Lubbock to play for Mark Adams. I was told Mark Adams was the shadow head coach was bringing everyone back and had control over the program.
  14. Harris with generic platitudes
  15. Damn that's wild dude, what are you doing with your share of the 4 mil??
  16. The pampered 4 and 5* narrative is a strawman, those types have been able to succeed in some of the best schools the past few seasons at Virginia/Gonzaga/Florida State off the top of my head where you aren't getting played just because of your ranking. And I'm sure I could pull up more examples if I did a bit more digging. Are some one and done types not going to buy in as much as others? Sure. But that's a matter of scouting and digging into guys from building relationships. And just so you're aware, virtually every P6 recruit thinks they're making it to the league, and way too many of the guys going to smaller schools think they're just going to transfer to high majors after a couple years and blow up or get to the NBA after going to Europe for a cup of coffee. That's just the mindset from having been around a fair amount of them.
  17. I am shocked at how fine Kam was with riding with Cory in the final. She didn't want to roll with her literal boyfriend or CT KNOWING Leroy was about to get fucked over when she sacrificed Kyle? Hell she could have thrown the daily to make sure she could get rid of Cory.
  18. Baylor pays Tang a ton for an assistant iirc, I think he waits on a better job than UTEP
  19. https://kuathletics.com/coach/jerrance-howard/ Self lifer from playing for him at Illinois to being at KU for ~8 years it looks like, very good recruiting chops.
  20. Possible, but the guy interviewed with the Clippers, Pacers, and Bulls last year alone and I believe had more the previous year. Could he be more Patrick Ewing than Juwan Howard? Absolutely. But he's a relatively younger guy with a lot of at least perceived NBA upside that I would rather they didn't have in this hire right after Beard. Woj is definitely always going to carry water for his NBA sources though, of which I'd assume Ham's agent was for this tweet.
  21. Rough week in Lubbock, can't even convince their alumni to come back to that shithole
