  1. I should have added a winky, but CB is often where receivers with bad hands can have success.
  2. Unfortunately for my lowly 1978 built ranch a 36 nch too too much space. So I went with a double oven lowly 30 range 😉 So this advice is more if you stay with the 30 inch footprint. You want a double oven range. Simply as you will be able to use the smaller much more efficient oven for most of your cooking. But you will praise the Lord when you host a meal like Thanksgiving or just a big party. Of course my wife wanted duel fuel, so I had to run both Gas line and 220 to the new location of range. I went back and forth on a hood versus a microwave hood, but went for a higher end convection microwave hood instead of just a vent because of economy of space. We rarely use the convection feature but that gives us the potential of 3 ovens when we entertain. And it has come up more than once to use all three. But mainly the double oven range. I will say that I bitched about the electric oven. But it is supposed to hold the temp more accurately for baking, but some of the feature like the "Sabbath Mode" allows you to put something in the oven and have it start and stop while you are gone, or start in middle of night. When you are shopping double oven ranges pay attention to the cubic feet. As you want as large an oven as possible. I would also make sure it has convection, simply as it's great for breads and meats. Gas cooktop is the shit, but if you wanted to go electric the new induction cook tops respond like gas. Good luck but if you don't go with a double oven you will regret it. GE double oven best buy
  3. The problem is really the access point from the attic into the side of the fireplace is petty skinny, and that is really the hitch. The placement of the fireplace in in the interior but only 6 feet from the outside wall so the rafter point would already be skinny. Add the fact the roof is vaulted and its gets skinnier and a real PITA. I was going to actually remove the chimney cap to be able to see to route the lines. I think my access is probably just too fubar, but if I could get the leverage to drill a hole through the brick in the small crawl space then it could probably be done. But trying to fish the pex through might be a bitch (thus the remove the cap paln). My concern would be the connections point coming from any insert to the end of the pex connection. In other words does fireplace Gas insert have enough heat shielding to protect a pex fitting if connected there? I haven't done any research, just one of the questions/concerns. I actually have an electrical outlet in front of the fireplace and I could reroute that to create and electric insert, but gas.... is soo much nicer. And Snowpocolypse...
  4. I think I have way to change the GOP's mind on Abortion. Attach immediate mandatory child support from conception, with criminal incarceration of up to 5 years, for failure to fulfill genetic "father" obligations. Put that on the ballot and let's see the embrace of the old white men on that small level of responsibility for men, when imposing a lifelong burden on a women for the same genetic interaction.
  5. Hey I am still a beautiful lover... but I am most beautiful... from behind... as then you can pretend I'm not old and fat... 😉
  6. I think the secret sauce to political success this fall is women's freedom via the right to an abortion, simply because of... freedom to make your own decisions. But more importantly I think you need to focus on kids and their transition to adults and the complete at total hypocrisy on the issue. I would be addressing the lack of healthcare for pregnant women but they love a fetus. The horrific and now well of ten year nightmare of the Texas foster care system where the federal government has to sue the state to TRY to keep these kids safe, but they love a fetus. The compete failure of the juvenile justice system from a staffing and moral standpoint, but they love a fetus. The won't keep kids safe safe from angry 18 years olds at school, but they love a fetus. I would turn "but they love a fetus..." into a fucking bumper sticker as often as I would repeat it. And I would WIN!
  7. Most Republican women simply never really thought the men would really be that stupid. Now I am not hanging with blue collar Republicans for the most part who quite honestly tend to be a lot more home and church based than some of the women I speak to. But for some reason they just really never thought access would be completely taken away. They still have the no worries, as my darling daughter will never have to worry about access (note to self: update her passport just in case). But I think emotionally it still made them stop and think for a second. And women have greater sympathy and empathy in general compared to men. I think you are going to see a decline of a fairly substantial nature among suburban women this Fall voting Republican. I thought you would see it, but you never know, and Kansas has kind of affirmed that. The most interesting thing about the result in Kansas? That the polls were pretty close, sort of like a lot of the Senate races this year. And when an issue in a state that has been purple, but more Red than Blue in power slots, breaks 60/40 against the priority issue of the Republican party? That's a damn good thing for our country!
  8. What is important today kids is that in the first test of wills (VOTERS) the abortion issue is exactly what I have been saying it always is. Purely political, and the result minority rule. Minority rule due to the radical gaming of the system to seat three Trump judges with the fewest votes ever for confirmation, nominated by a man who did not receive more votes than his opponent! Now it's time for the GOP to reap what they have sown. Educated people are not stupid, and they know history, and they know that old white racist Republican men making making life decisions for women isn't a good thing. The good news is that I think this is going to be the main issue heading into the fall election simply as women vote more than men, and they are motivated not to lose MORE of their freedoms. It is also important to know that in this instance of trying to eliminate abortion for women in Kansas the GOP again tried to let the MINORITY rule by the timing of the vote. Designed to have the fewest voters possible make the decision. The entire Republican party is build not on a foundation of reduced turnout, and especially producing roadblocks for now-white rural voters as often as possible. But when you piss off the women in your country by having old white racist Elected Republicans mansplaining the need for raped women to carry children to term? You are going to permanently, move educated younger people out of your party's lane. I talk all the time to kids when I am out and about. If politics come up, I say, "If only you little fuckers would get out an vote all the decisions in Texas would not be made by old racist white men..." And then follow up with I know that going to a party, floating the river, or finding some weed ended up being more important last election"... and laugh heartily! They usually laugh too, but I hope the thought imprints. You see... I have a dream. I have a dream where more and more people vote in Texas. And that eventually we can turn away from a minority rule by old racist white men, to a more diverse, better educated, and moderate slate of elected officials. And save our country from the path the aging white racists are plotting for us...
  9. rumor has it that at one point it might have been more than just a toe...
  10. I swear when I was looking at Trump being interviewed the other day I thought it looked like his eyes were more beady than usual. So I figured he had plastic surgery? But then I wondered is there a new "beady eyed" facelift now? Called the Tucker?
  11. Again - If Republicans care so much about Children why is our Foster care system so abysmal? I mean there are armies of folks who love children so much they will stand all day and yell and scream and reach heavenward to save the child potentially being aborted. You want to have a good laugh. Stop one day at one of the protest lines and ask to meet their foster or adopted children. You see it's a lot easier to make a political issue about something that DOES NOT PERSONALLY AFFECT YOUR LIFE, than take responsibility and raise of take care of the ACTUAL CHILDREN you profess to care so much about PRIOR TO BIRTH. Basically the difference between Republican Christianity and actual Christianity, is that so much of the focus is on others. Others that need to conform their their "Christian" beliefs on things like abortion, gay marriage, black marrying whites (may or may not be a settled issue according to this Supreme Court), or what the parents of trans kids are doing. Never is it reflective, or broadly designed to help any group. For Republicans religion is mostly from my experience about judging others...
  12. One of the things I have never understood, and that has bothered me since where bought the house 20 years ago was no gas to the fireplace. It is especially annoying since the fireplace is in the middle of the house with only clean out under the log rack. So we don't use it. 20 years ago I did some research and it was too cumbersome. But now with the flexible gas pex and an insert I might just be able to make it work. A lot of the gas line after the fact into the old firebox made me nervous about screwing something up. had to requild the firebox because it was cracked and failed brick when I bought the house. So the brick work doesn't concern me much. Especially if I am putting an insert into the spot. Another reason I am thinking about this was the snowpocolype. If I put a natural gas unit in the existing fireplace enclosure I would not only be able to enjoy seeing a fire, but it might keep me from freezing in a future winter. So anybody done a fireplace insert install? Anyone run any Yellow Pex themselves? Seems like not that difficult a project. But that's what we all say before we are cussing our asses off! 😉
  13. Pass the jizz jar one minute... ... then white suit saying open your mouth... Ewe....
  14. If I was Beto, I would be running shit tons of Ads about the Texas Foster care system, and how the "lover of life and children" has abdicated his responsibility the the foster children in our care. Summer if for defining you opponent. The abortion outrage opens up an opportunity to point out the LIE of giving an actual crap about children or abortion beyond politics. The reality is that if Abbott were a parent, the children in his care would be taken by the state for their safety. Lots of documentation of the negligence toward the Children in Abbott's care."From bad to worse," U.S. Judge deplores Texas Foster care conditions ALSO- Don't feed the troll who prefers endless low percentage hypotheticals to every day realities. It's a waste of fucking time.
  15. I think that after we beat A&M folks will do it. I think it will likely the the only time, after that first victory. As I agree it's a stupid fucking chant. But it's stupid fucking chant the Aggies have adopted. And if I were a betting man, I am going to say that this is the one time the fan base breaks it out.
  16. I just thought of this. It's gonna be funny as fucking hell to hear Texas fans chant S..E..C... after we beat their asses at DKR. Stupid Aggies have been cheering the SEC, the way a water boy cheers on their high school team. They are just happy to be associated with the team. S..E...C... Then all the facilities hopes and prayers, then you realize their biggest event is at some fucking apartment pool. Fuck my high school graduation party my neighbor and I threw was 5 kegs and an open bar. And I think we were more than 10 kegs at our last Big Pool party at Spring Branch Pool long ago. Then I think of a apartment pool in College Station as a "huge event" and I guess... it's about like a couple parties I threw as an 18year old.
  17. All the advice above is pretty good. Usually overflow drain is someplace visible. Like near back door, or in front of kitchen window where you are more likely to see it. If your installation is new you should have an overflow cutoff sensor that cuts the power to the A/C. when the pan fills up in the attic. Basically the cutoff is so you get off your ass and go up and check why you are sweating... rather than figure out how to replace ceiling sheet rock and soggy moldy insulation. Always good to put some bleach down the drain pipe once a year as a precaution. If your drains are clogging it's hair a lot of the time. And that's something that you just have to stay on top of if it's a reoccurring problem.
  18. Finally answering a question for Texas fans since this little old lady began her search so long ago... It's all coming to Texas, and gorging on pancakes...
  19. Well ...welcome the fuck aboard! The secret is to have fun... but not too much fun! Get a degree, use your connections, and this scholarship and education will change your life.
  20. What you want to know is exactly what was purposefully deleted. Communication between and from Secret Service Agents during this period. I wonder how many of the insiders were going to help the President with the Coup? Were any of the members within the Secret Service assigned to Mike Pence supportive of the overthrow of the government? Since there are no limits to what a sociopath will do, I would have expected the assassination of Pelosi, Pence or another prominent Elected official. Then Donald Trump would have finally gotten up from his dining table and watching the coup unfold. He would have taken action. And declared martial law. Your Republican Neighbors today would still be more concerned about books in schools, but Joe Biden is in Prison. Your Republican neighbors would insist to you that The President had no choice but to enforce martial law, and he told us that he really won. "Did you hear Pelosi's husband got a DWI." Apparently the new Federal Congressional Oversight Police Force has taken over the investigation, and a special federal task force has been formed to investigate the matter and determine appropriate sentencing. You Republican neighbor will explain to you that the new streamlined court system where citizens no longer have to be bothered with jury duty is so much better. It's a lot easier to let government experts make decisions about guild or innocence, rather than uninformed citizens. And on and on and on.... Your Republican neighbor will tell you that everything is just fine. In fact after two years of operation of the new Federal Congressional Oversight Police Force the power has shifted enough in Congress that a new law has passed that allow President Trump to choose any replacements for Congress persons convicted by the Federal Congressional Oversight Police Force. A year after this change, the newly solidly Republican Congress with nearly 1/4 now hand picked by President Trump a new piece of legislation is put forth. Where the Presidential term limit is changed to 20 years, it is passed along party lines. Joe Biden dies in Prison... Your Republican neighbor explains to you that things have never been better in America. Just look at the Polling by the Presidential Media Supervisory Council's report silly!!!
