  1. You have a job now. And you have a timetable. A lot of folks put in 10 years and poof, here's a month and on your way out the door you go. Just trying to put at least a little positive spin on what is certainly an unsettling situation. But that time is golden, and it allows you to pretend you don't need a job, because technically right now you don't. I''ll be honest I have not interviewed for a job in like 30 years, but I was carefree as a bird interviewing when I had a paycheck, and not as good when I was worried about getting one I did not have. I would suggest interviewing at a couple places that you don't view as a great fit, just to get some interview practice. Because like anything the more you do it the better you get! Good luck! That time you have to plan is golden. Sucks but it could have been a lot worse.
  2. The one fucking really shitty thing about the internet and podcasting is that faces made for radio are now seen by our eyes. The $9.95 folks nearly universally fit into this, "It would have been a lot better to have only been heard, and never ever seen category."
  3. Since Republicans are "oh so concerned" to distract with "mental health care". Let's not forget who it was that completely dismantled and put so many former occupants of mental hospitals onto the streets here in Texas. Another lie and distraction. The good news is these Republican actions creating additional homelessness of the mentally ill, gives them the local issue of homelessness as an issue that the Dems created. Cool isn't it, this create a problem, blame other folks for it. Rinse and repeat. It's like Trump and Co running up massive as shit deficits of a magnitude increase never seen before during a time of plenty (prior to GWB doing the same thing), and deficits are... Dems fault... Nobody spends money like a GOP President who inherits a good economy from the prior Dem. I just wish a GOP President would fix enough shit one term to hand off a better situation than they inherited to a Democratic income President.
  4. First off, obeying federal regulations is the only chance Texas has beyond anything but rampant pollution by corporations eventually cleaned up and paid for by taxpayers. Look at the fucking flaring in Texas and the complete lack of giving a shit about it at all. Second when I hear dumbassery of "cheaper rates" its.... you guessed it, a fucking lie. Because the costs are simply not factored in correctly. Fuck up, freeze the state solid and who picks up that tab? individual homeowners, and of course the cost burden shifted to.... the fucking taxpayers. I used to be a card carry Republican. My boss hired me away from my old employer so I would not take Karl Rove's business away from him. The GOP hasn't solved a single fucking problem of any magnitude that I can think of in the last 30 years. We are still waiting on the GOP health plan. it's all lip service, and distraction. The electrical grid is a pretty fucking big deal and we got more action on trying to criminalize the danger of transgender parents trying to help their child the best way they know how, than was expended to fix the electrical grid. Anyone's electrical bill falling? Anybody incur expense or loss of income do the electrical grid crashing? Anyone get a bail out from Governor Abbott via bond sales? Like his energy supporters are all getting? Just curious. Again i just wish for one fucking time in my lifetime I could point to a solution to an actual problem that matters! If there is some great problem the GOP in Texas has fixed in the last 30 years, please, please, please let me know what it was?
  5. Don't you think that currently editing it to "the shocker" is more appropriate in representing the feelings of our Aggie brethren? Let the good moment flow at least a fucking second before worrying.
  6. I have this crazy fucking idea. A world where Texans vote in a greater and greater percentage of the population.] Then the top down corruption will change to people who actually want to serve the state of Texas and its citizens. So I am not fucking leaving yet. Family is like for most folks, an anchor. I have a dream where more reasonable people wake up and we change the state from within. I know it sounds crazy, but we just gotta wake some folks up and let them know hey, if you vote it won't be only old white people making the policies in the state anymore.
  7. Yeah... same problem as always. White folks like money more than kids, but they need kids. Especially with Facebook! The story has always been the fucking same. Immigrants are laborers, because of a language or education barrier. This is numerically true, despite all the engineering hires because the US doesn't produce enough. And poor people view children as potential income for the family unit. A lot of folks I know love the shit out of their one kid. IT WILL ALWAYS BE THIS WAY. But if you want to know about why Republicans are concerned? Find a way NOT to say racism..
  8. Yeah... But Boring fucking chicks...
  9. I agree with everything but Jeffrey Ross... But if you are trying to get Republicans to understand some of the roasting, then I understand Jeffrey Ross...
  10. I few elephant walks and jizz jar fill ups should take care of that...
  11. If I were a Democratic politician I would be assailing the Foster care system managed by Republicans in a manner that suggest they do not really give a damn about unwanted kids. I would turn nearly every questions to it. Because in Texas it is indefensible how atrocious the system is and how ripe with abuse it is and has been for years. Without little or no response from Republican legislators, because they honestly do not care about kids once they are here. I would point out that they personally have neither adopted nor fostered one of the unwanted children they profess with words to care about. Where are the deeds?
  12. So I guess it would be cruel to point out that if A&M were in the Big 12 they would only be ahead of.... Instead I think we celebrate Aggie Achievements! I will celebrate along side my Aggie brethren, the exciting day when A&M 2023 recruiting is again listed on the front page of 24/7's 2023 team recruiting rankings. Mainly because the main thing I like for Aggies to have is hope. Without hope, there is no fun in seeing it dashed. 😉
  13. I think if you are going to use Hamm's service and you are a high school kid ONLY do this if you parents have a pool. Pool cleaning will be the one thing Hamm will have to work off his potential legal settlement.
  14. This is a kid I really want to see. He reminds me so much of Casey Hampton except he is a couple inches taller. Now it's always a stretch to compare as incoming freshman, to a great like Casey Hampton. But that's what the internet is for! But this kid seems to have the athleticism as well as Casey's bowling ball physique, again on a larger frame. So damnit, I can dream, and so can Sydir! I sure as hell hope that in a year or two the kid's nickname is "BiG Casey!"
  15. I will say this for the 100th time. There is no purpose or use of an AR/AK/SKS in the US other that the purpose the gun was intended to fill, to kill people. Anyone who says differently is a fucking liar. I guess in good news for the police endlessly pumping rounds into unarmed black men, is that there are now enough mass shootings by young angry white men to actually help distract from the police shooting. So see... if you look hard enough there is a "silver lining."🤮
  16. Now that would totally be a thing on TexAgs... After a pregame Elephant Walk...
  17. Boom and Boom and Boom! Welcome to the family and great things to come. What starts here changes the World!
  18. I especially liked " and can't stand seeing us doing what we are doing." Exactly WTF has A&M Done? Beaten Alabama twice in the last decade, and never sniffed a birth in the Championship game? Who the fuck would want to emulate that?
  19. Strange this "disappointment" of not seeing another welcome on the front page. Then I thought "don't be spoiled A-hole!" Then I thought, "We are killing it dummy!" Then I saw a homeless person begging on the street, and I thought "It could be worse. It can always be worse!" Then I thought... "SEC, SEC, SEC, A&M... and I smiled...."
  20. Well I saw that in Austin the Randall's have Choice brisket for $2.47/lb. But when I looked online I defaulted to a Houston Randall's on Memorial Drive. And Mofo, in Houston the exact same brisket is $1.87/lb! Why am I getting over a 30% additional markup on the same product in Austin. I thought about real estate pricing, but Memorial Drive in Houston is comparable to Braker/Jollyville in Austin. Anyhow I was happy to see $2.47 on sale, would be happier with $1.87 though.
  21. WTF you don't count Dixie Chicken dollars money!
  22. The real problem is that Republicans cheat because they know they are a minority party. There is a reason they changed the rules, because it was the only way they could win. The GOP today simply believes so firmly that minority views are held by a majority (falsely in case you are a confused Republican) that there is no principle or ethical code not worth breaking "for the greater good." Which means the Republican Party is at best a party that cares not about the constitution nor democracy. And that is the BEST scenario. The worst scenario is read back about brownshirts and an elected official named Hitler worked out when he was democratically elected. Sadly the court is what it is, as stacked with minority opinion membership placed because of a complete lack of ethics or sense of fair play.
  23. I thought that most debts fall off your credit report after like 7 years. Or at least I thought that was the case years ago.
