  1. Josh James walked the first batter. Color me shocked.
  2. And, again, Ass My Dude threw a bomb to an open receiver on the 5 yard line who let it bounce off of his chest and hands. Would have been a sure touchdown. Inexcusable. I guess that’s why they are playing at SJST. I wouldn’t give two shits if I weren’t laying 6.5 points to Hawaii. But, alas, I am.
  3. Ass My Dude has been putting it on the money for his shitty receivers and they’ve been dropping them. I’ll admit that Im a little bit biased because I’ve stupidly bet money on San Jose St But damn, catch the fucking ball that is right in your hands.
  4. Nice call. Now Wiley only owes us one more TD tonight. Damn good call.
  5. Thank you for your reply. I’m tired of getting portrayed as an evil asshole that wants to kill everyone. I’m not the enemy. The jackasses that haven’t been infected or vaccinated are the ones that should be getting the heat.
  6. I had Covid back in February, and got positives on the S antibody - 347 - and the N antibody - 184 - in the Texas Cares study a couple of weeks ago I have not been vaccinated, but always believed that I should be fine for some time without a vaccination, especially based on some preliminary studies. And, of course, got the shit negged out of me for saying so on here. So, what do you make of the Israeli study - or maybe analysis - that shows that previously infected people like me have more robust protection than people with both doses of Pfizer? I saw a doctor that is part of the University of California system tweet statistics showing that a vaccine would be statistically irrelevant for someone like me. I don’t think he is a right wing crazy, but not sure. He was basing that on the Israeli study and a UK study. I’ll try to figure out how to post his tweet.
  7. I THINK the test might be how well you’re doing after the Arkansas Debauchery Weekend.
  8. Correlation or causation? All I know is that Snacks has been starting these Got Damn threads for a long time, and we’ve sucked for a long time. You better get it right this time, or you are fired. You hear me?
  9. I believe, and correct me if I’m wrong, Gatorubet, that he would like to keep his refrigerators and/or freezers, and maybe a window unit air conditioner going. Similar happened to me during Ike in 2008. Fired up the generator and it wasn’t creating electricity. We were furked. Good luck, Gator.
  10. @immamac, @RGBIII, You have to make this easier to sign up. I said it before, and it hasn’t improved. I signed out, just to see what it looked like for a new user. You see the Burnt Ends banner, but nothing that is intuitive that directs you to it, and nothing that says “Click here to join Burnt Ends” I’m on an Ipad, and an old guy, maybe I’m missing something, but I know enough that you have to ask for the sale. Make it easy for everyone that wants to buy what you are selling. Make a banner or button that can’t be missed that screams “Join and Pay Here”. Pardon me if I’m missing something, that is a distinct possibility, but my point stands - make it it as easy as you can for people to give you money.
  11. Hey, @immamac, Put a got damn sticky somewhere so it is easy to figure out where to pay for Burnt Ends. And BOLD the damn thing. JOIN BURNT ENDS HERE Took me 30 minutes to find the link to pay. Had to read through several threads to find it. Of course, if I’m a dumb ass and missed an easily identifiable link, my bad. Nevrmind, I found the orange header that I had minimized earlier. Still, you should have a sticky also. IMO
  12. You got damn right. It was a yellow gravy. I think the name of the dish was the Tampiqueno. Chicken fried steak and enchiladas, if I’m remembering right. I’m pretty sure the restaurant was OST. Fuck, that was good.
  13. I don’t know if it is a schtick, or if some of you idoits truly are bothered about the way the field lines up. It looks beautiful to most normal people. For those of you that seriously have a problem with it…
  14. I agree with you that we need better data to draw firm conclusions. We don’t know their baseline that they used to determine that Delta is 46% more likely to reinfect. Those articles that you posted clearly state that “Reinfections remain a rarity though, accounting for only 1.2% of the 83,197 cases analyzed.” If, as cited in the articles that you posted, reinfection rates are 1.2%, then they may have started with a baseline of .77% with Alpha to arrive at the 1.2% after a 46% increase. But, as you say, take it with a grain of salt. I agree with you that we need better data, and more time to analyze the data to understand what is going on. The articles that you posted also state that, from June 21 to July 19, 30% of COVID patients admitted to the hospital in England had been fully vaccinated. That doesn’t seem good. Hopefully our vaccines are better than their Oxford vaccine
  15. For you Mississippi Pot Roast guys - make a gravy from the drippings. It is a complete game changer. First, you have to procure a fat separator. Drain off the the good, seasoned drippings into a skillet, add a slurry of flour and water or corn starch and water, bring to a boil, turn down to simmer, heat until it is the consistency you like as a a gravy. I usually make mashed potatoes with lots of butter and cream, but rice will suffice in a pinch, as I did the last time I made this because of time constraints. Slams and goes hard.
  16. Truly, thank you for your service, and thank you for your concern. I’m going to bow out of this discussion. I believe I have solid data from the Emory University study that tells me I don’t have much to worry about after having contracted a mild case of Covid, and on the other hand, solid anecdotal evidence from many of you that think otherwise. We would just go round and round arguing about it, and there is no point in that. It is tiresome and I suspect no side would sway the other to their point of view. I hope for good outcomes for all of you that I’ve interacted with on this thread. Peace to you.
  17. Ok, Cap’n, I’ll play. Of course I love seeing more sick people. Who doesn’t? Don’t be fatuous I previously, upthread, explained and provided a link that made it clear why I didn’t think I needed a vaccine at this time. I had Covid in February. I have tons of antibodies. And T and B cell immunity. Don’t just read YOUR Twitter feed. Read the link I posted from Emory University. They are clear that people that have been previously infected retain robust antibodies. Or, maybe you actually believe that I truly am stupid and desire to kill people because I have made a rational ( to me ) decision that I don’t need to get the vaccine at this time. Based on the best info I’ve seen. You think that - U R dumb All this angst about infected people getting the vaccine or not is just silly. Our risk of getting people sick is infinitesimal to the risk of the unvaccinated and uninflected. Why don’t you turn your considerable influence towards shaming them instead?
