  1. It’s cool watching this happen at night. And main chutes deploy beautifully
  2. Good God, man. You sure you’re not aggy? And you sounded three sheets to the wind. Good stuff. lol
  3. My one aggy friend showed me that screenshot at a party tonight, pissing and moaning about ESPN being in bed with the sips and trying to make aggy look bad. He also predicted a 38-20 A&M victory over Notre Dame. Lulz
  4. All of this ^^^^^ Couldn’t say it better.
  5. Can you dipshits shut the fuck up about your drinking problems, near beer, and everything else related to those subjects that no one else gives two shits about? There is a place for that, but it is not on this thread. With all due respect.
  6. You know there are almost 6 weeks left in the season, right? It took us 4 weeks to come from 10 down to first place. A couple of losses in August don’t mean shit.
  7. I still can’t get over pulling Kikuchi at the magical 99 pitch mark. He struck out 2 in a row, he’d be alright pitching to another batter. Thats the kind of crap that chaps my ass.
  8. It seems obvious that Chin Pubes is trying to drive traffic to his TV show/radio show and podcast. He’s telling these malcontents that, instead of bitching about lack of information, they should be thanking him for killing himself to put it out on podcasts, radio, etc. blah blah blah. And THEN he’ll write it up when he has time. Who could blame them - besides that jackass - for complaining about paying $17 a month for insider info that they aren’t getting? Yet they are so dumb that they keep making excuses for him and keep ponying up the cash. I guess you can’t fix stupid. Did you know that his Texags radio?/podcast? is simulcast OTA on one of the subchannels of CBS 3 in College Station? Don’t even need to be online to see that crap. I ran across it just flipping through the antenna channels here in NW Houston.
  9. Yes. I’m still here in the house where the kids grew up. Daughter (no pics), her husband and 3 young kids moved 1000 miles away a year ago for son in law’s job. To the company headquarters. Bought a big house, daughter said she hoped that’s the last move. Well, son in law recently told me that he may need to go out into the field to run a plant as a prerequisite to moving into the upper management of the company. No telling where that will be. If I’d sold my house and followed them, I’d be less than happy right about now. I’m content to wait for them to truly settle in one place, then think about moving close. Until then, they are a plane ride away, and I stay where I am, close to good friends and other family.
  10. I don’t know the last time, but remember this from my youth. Ken Johnson of the Colts pitched a no hitter and lost 1-0. That sneaky fucker Pete Rose bunted in the ninth and Johnson threw it away. https://sabr.org/gamesproj/game/april-23-1964-ken-johnson-pitches-a-no-hitter-for-houston-and-loses-the-game-to-reds/
  11. With our kids and grandkids at a beach house in Florida last week, daughter (no pics) had given the 3 year old grandson a bath, asked him if he wanted to come down and watch a movie with “John” - his cousin. Grandson said “No - Papaw”. He wanted to come sit with me to watch the movie. I hope each and every one of you get to, sometime in your life, experience something trivial that pleases the ever loving shit out of you like that did me.
  12. Your antenna should get Fox, which is where the Michigan game will be. Also ABC, where a game or two may be seen. And Fox, NBC, and CBS for NFL. And all of your local news OTA. Disney holds the rights, so beyond ABC OTA, you need a streaming service that provides the various ESPNs, SEC Network, and ESPN+ if you want to see all of the Longhorn games. The new Venu platform might be the cheapest option, at $42.99, if they get it launched on time. It will have all of Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros sports channels. Good luck. Streaming is easy. https://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2024/08/venu-sports-launch-date-reported/
  13. Loperfido started out hot with the Astros, as has Wagner with Toronto. They were relative unknowns to the MLB teams. It’s a game of adjustments, and it appears that teams have adjusted to Loperfido’s tendencies. He’ll have to adjust in turn, or go back down and try to regroup. Wagner will have to deal with the same issues, but what a start. I’m a fan, and hope he can keep it up.
  14. The Rangers must have sold their soul to the devil last year. No other explanation for them winning it all.
  15. Don’t get trolled by trolls. That photo was from a campaign event in Dayton, Ohio, November 7, 2022. https://ohiocapitaljournal.com/2022/11/07/at-election-eve-rally-with-ohio-republicans-trump-sets-nov-15-for-very-big-announcement/
  16. Yeah, Las Cazuelas. That’s what I was thinking, but wasn’t sure my memory was correct. I knew it as Kettle first. It was damn good. The Corral was always there, but wasn’t a big attraction. Hungry Jacks and Pelican’s Wharf were late arrivals right after I went off to college. I had friends that lived in Tanglewood. I spent a whole lot of time at that pool for a couple of summers.
  17. Damn, didn’t realize there was a Victoria thread. I grew up there through high school and still go back to visit family. We’ll occasionally eat at Veracruz, Pumphouse, and the old standby - Dairy Treet. And Grandy’s, well, because where else am I going to see a Grandy’s? And every Christmas we order dozens of Ventura tamales. I recommend the hot version. I may be a little older than many of you, I wonder if any of you remember a few places I frequented in my younger days: Nolan’s Steakhouse - about the nicest place you could take a date for dinner Kettle - a good hole in the wall Mexican place, I think close to Dairy Treet Brown Boar - downtown bar where my age group congregated Captain’s Table - club good for picking up chicks and MILFs * Club Westerner - ^^^^^^^^^^^ * * In a town that size, was much better to make sure the MILF was divorced as opposed to still married
  18. Their map shows that my house doesn’t have power, but my power was restored around noon yesterday. Their map is all fucked up. Edited to add: The whole subdivision that I live in - over 1,000 homes - is blue on their map, but every home got the power restored on Thursday. That’s how unreliable the map is.
  19. Just want to revisit this. I wasn’t cherry picking shit. That was the latest GFS run late Saturday night. It happened exactly as they forecast. The eyewall came right over my house, as I feared There is a reason that the GFS is, along with the Euro, the most reliable model. I hope everyone without power, like me, gets it restored soon. It is a bitch to have to deal with this twice within a couple of months time
  20. Yeah, not liking these latest GFS runs here in northwest Harris County.
